Strawberry shortcake. Recommended by my Mom Mom and they are the truth! I came close to the end of the day so I could only tell mostly cookies, danishes and donuts. Most were gone so they must be good. Back to this strawberry shortcake. Real strawberries NOT jelly stuff. But there is also a gentle compote layered with a moist rich cake. I have not tried the cakes (yet) or the sticky buns (yet but due to other reviews I need to asap). I need to try the cake soon as I saw a strawberry shortcake calling my name. The sticky buns seem to be popular.. I have to admit I never had a sticky bun..... Plenty of off street parking in this mini strip mall. I usually stop in with my son to pick up some cookies or a cupcake as dessert. He really enjoys every treat he has had from here. The prices are really reasonable so it's easy to come pick up a few items and feel like you got a great deal. The staff is really friendly and helpful. Cons- Some of the shelves are empty which makes me sad that more people do not know about this place in order to have fuller shelves with goodies. Today I saw a HUGE weird sign "Please put money in the sales girls hand and not on the counter". Um. yeah there are dummies that put money on the counter but move on...can't let things like that bother you.... That's a weird sign for your other customers to see. read more

Great pastry and cinnamon rolls too.always crowded on Sunday but staff moves people along .my wife likes to go at least once or twice a month and get treats. I liked the cream donuts. The best thing is that for Boston cream they fill them to order so they don't get soggy. There isn't a huge selection of donuts here and they are pricey. $20/dozen is on the higher end as compared to other (non chain) bakeries. There aren't a whole lot of other bakeries nearby so I'm happy to support this one. Bread pudding looks delicious and cakes in the cases too. read more

The best pastries in town I travel from Philadelphia although that's not far but it's worth the trip. The staff is friendly and attentive. I only had one issue I brought the item back and given the opportunity for a refund. I received a really sincere apology I opted for the same item it was fresh and delicious and I was also given some free pastries for my inconvenience. There is a lot to like about this place. But first a criticism. I am not wild about the cream donuts. And I love cream donuts. The best are Dot's in Ocean City, Haegele's in Mayfair and McMillian's in Haddon Township, NJ (obscene but great). These cream donuts have too much powdered sugar on top so that when you grab one to eat on the way home the sugar falls on your shirt and on the car seat. Plus the cream is too sweet. Now for the good stuff. I am a 61 year old man and therefore am invisible to all attractive women under 50 years old. The girl that works here is very attractive and much younger that 50 but very nice. Which I appreciate very much. I do not even care if she is just pretending. The owner (I think the guy is the owner) is also this really nice guy. So are the customers. It is crazy! I live in a community where people do not hold doors or acknowledge that you are alive unless you are young and hip. I am neither so experiencing a friendly place is nice. I have tried danish, donuts, and cinnamon buns and everything is excellent. I admit that I have not tried any cake except two. The reason for this is that these two cakes are so good I do not want to pass up the experience. One is called "Tandy Cake" It is a chocolate cake filled with raspberry center covered with chocolate. The second in a peanut butter Tandy Cake. Light soft yellow cake, a creamy peanut butter topping covered in chocolate. Yes, a huge satisfying peanut butter Tandy cake. The baker is a genius. So check this place out. A little out of the way but well worth the trip, just be careful of the powdered sugar on the cream donuts on the way home...no way to hide the evidence. read more

Stopped at this bakery while I was on my way to a meeting. I wanted to pick up something to enjoy with my coffee. Ran into the owner. I asked if he had a cream cheese frosted donut with cherry filling. He was surprised that I asked for a cherry filled donut and stated that he doesn't sell to many donuts and does not carry a variety as they would not sell well for him and instead offered me a cherry filled Danish. I took his advice and opted for the Danish. It had a cinnamon swirl and was garnished with a streusel topping and icing. Portion was huge; the Danish was big enough for two. The cherry filling was mediocre. What made the Danish memorable was its thick and rich glaze like icing. This bakery offered other assortments and seemed to even take cake/pie/pastry orders for the holidays and other occasions. read more

It is hard to find good sticky buns, they have the best that I have come across in a while. Package of 8 baked fresh daily. I have tried both with and without the nuts. I can't comment on anything else they make, as all I have tried are the Sticky Buns, my wife sends me for these quite often. read more

Small bakery with above average baked goods at below average prices. Their selection isn't as vast as some of the other bigger guys, but regardless, if you want a birthday cake for your kid, even at the last minute, this is a solid place to go to. You and your guests won't say it is the best cake evah, but they will compliment you and ask where it came from. Far and away better cake than any of the grocery stores in the area. Maybe even a bit cheaper. This place is close to me, so I will continue to get birthday cakes from here. read more
