I was in the neighborhood and decided to try Jade out. Very friendly greeting when I walked in. The place had a lot of "older" patrons which is a good sign I think. The wonton soup tasted great although the actual wontons are much thicker than what I'm used to. (Not a bad thing just different). My food came out literally two minutes later. Super fast, so it's great for a quick lunch. Huge egg roll with tons of cabbage. The pepper chicken didn't have tons of flavor but I added oil to it so it was good. If I'm in the area again I'd probably visit again and try something else with more spice. read more

Tried this place for the first time last night and will never ever make that mistake again. The worst food. We ordered lemon chicken which was heavily breaded and dripping with Grease. Same for the eggrolls. At first we tried to wrap them in paper towels but they were swimming in grease in the container and just totally inedible. The fried rice was a big sticky mess of tasteless goo. I had the tofu and vegetables which was tofu in a sticky brown sauce. There may have been a few pieces of cabbage but I only got one piece of broccoli and one water chestnut. Seriously!! The only halfway decent thing where the crab puffs and those were only mediocre as they were over cooked and had very little cream cheese. Needless to say we had lots of leftovers that all got thrown in the trash it was that bad. Save your money and go somewhere else. read more

I love this place!! Their food is so good! I get it delivered and I eat at the restaurant and they do a great job with both occasions. Food is hot, fresh, delicious and their portions are so generous! The price is not bad either. It's not the cheapest but believe me, it is worth it!! I have tried cheaper places and you get what you pay for. They are by no means pricey! And they are friendly! Never have had rude service or wrong orders. They take the time to get it right. A year ago I wrote a review and after my service today I had no choice but to delete it and write a new review..... They gave horrible customer service, and HORRIBLE food. Everything I ordered was wrong or so over cooked that we couldn't eat it. AND it was an hour before our food was delivered. I ordered it at 3:30 and it was delivered after 4:30. They have delivery times of 30-45 minutes at most on their website. We ordered crab puffs that were rock hard. Cashew chicken that han NO cashews with more than 1/3 of the bowl being huge pieces of mushroom. The Kung Pao Chicken that was really sweet [no spicy at all]. And the egg roll was just mush. When I called they said they would not give me a refund, and that if I hadn't eaten it yet, then I could have more food. Why would I want more food when EVERYTHING I ordered was wrong and tastes horrible?! So disappointed with this restaurant and the service I received. read more

This is by far the best Chinese food I've had since I moved to Texas. I've dined in a few times just to try different things off of the menu, but I generally use them for delivery when I'm in the Cypress area. General Tso chicken, orange chicken, fried dumplings, steamed dumplings, french fries(heaven sticks), chicken wings, egg drop soup, wonton soup, fried biscuits(heaven bread), and the list goes on... it is all delicious here. I like to order Spicy shrimp lo mein without vegetables...delicious. The portions here are huge so keep that in mind. I'm pretty sure they hired one guy just to take delivery orders over the phone...that's convenient for some people, so I figured I'd mention it. Soooo, Chinese is never on my top 3 list of foods to eat when your stomach is super hungry to the brink of turning a back flip buuut I gave it a try, mainly because I wanted something delivered. I checked out the reviews (which were mostly good from my fellow Yelpers) and placed my order. Be sure your order is at $15 otherwise nothing will be delivered. I ordered the seafood vegetable platter (which came with fried rice), crab rangoon (6) and an eggroll. The platter and Rangoon's were really good.. So good I didn't even eat the egg roll. I ordered from here while trying to find my favorite Chinese food delivery in my area. This was probably the third I have tried so far. I ordered: Mongolian Beef (Asked for it extra spicy) - It didn't have much flavor or spice. I was disappointed. Beef on a stick appetizer - They were tasty, and got better when reheated the next day. Wonton soup - Was made with beef broth and seemed way too salty. I guess I prefer the chicken broth, which I believe is the normal broth. Fried Wontons - These were huge and unique. They were the whole wonton fried to a crisp, instead of the little ones you usually get with your soup. I enjoyed dipping them in the sweet and sour sauce they gave me. This was actually the highlight of my meal... Sadly, this got the lowest review of all the other places I have been to in the cypress area, before and after. read more

Ah yes, the dreaded pregnancy craving strikes again, and this time I have a hankering for Chinese food! I yelped my search and found this little 'grocery store neighbor' Chinese place and told hubby that we were ordering in. We got our food to go, as my house STILL does not exist despite having an address and me telling the USPS that it really does...sigh...moving on. Here we go - 1 order Shrimp with Lobster sauce, 1 order Mandarin Chicken Lo Mein, 1 order steamed dumplings, 2 individual egg rolls, 1 order of sweet and sour ribs, and 1 small order of vegeterian spicy sour soup. Two sides of steamed rice with the meal (included). Grand total of $34.75. Not too bad. The ribs were all right - they came in an order of 4 and were about 6'' long. HUGE, meaty ribs cooked very well, but I wasn't feeling the sauce. I ate one and was done. Hubby's steamed dumplings were very well done and he said they tasted freshly made, albeit a little doughier than he's used to. An order of 6, he said they could be a meal on their own. Egg rolls - two large standard prefrozen cabbage egg rolls that were crispy and typical. My toddler was not impressed, but his school is busy stuffing him full of homecooked food and he's a food snob now. :) Vegetarian sour soup - oh yes. THIS in itself made the entire trip worth it. The small ordero f soup was perfect as its own meal, with maybe a side order of steamed rice. I almost licked the bowl had I not already been stuffed full of my other food. I plan on ordering a large and calling it a day next time. It was hearty and sour and tangy and just wonderful! Shrimp with Lobster sauce- this was good! I got over a dozen large fresh shrimp that were deveined; they had obviously made this fresh as I found one shrimp still hanging onto its shell. I took that as a good sign. The veggies were crisp and the sauce light. However, it was a tiny bit underseasoned, but I'd rather have that than be drowning in salt and be bloated for the next 4 hours - I already AM bloated from pregnancy...no more! Anyways...I'd order this again. Great portion sizes, and after a pinch of salt and rice smothered in duck sauce, I found myself overeating it...strange, they say the food is MSG free..... Mandarin Lo Mein - Hubby said it was good as well. A little underseasoned, but he added soy sauce and was good to go. He said the meat was cooked well and noodles were yummy. Another massive portion of food. Oy! Bottom line - I like to eat at home because having a toddler, you either have to eat really fast at a restaurant or go when no one else is out dining out of respect, so eating at home allows me to take my time and eat when I want. Therefore I can't comment on the service besides the food being well prepared and condiments available in our bag, and the lady on the phone polite. The food? I'd go back and try something else, as long as I get my sour soup. If you're looking for easy Chinese takeout, this is a good place to grab dinner. They're inexpensive, have large portions, and actually put effort into the food. Good stuff! read more

I like the Chinese food at other places out here more (see Double Dragon), not that the food here isn't great, but this is the only Chinese joint that has a decent dining atmosphere. At all. Get yourself a combination dinner. That way you get whatever entree you want but then you also get a side of sweet and sour pork or chicken, rice and an egg roll. It almost seemed like we got a bowl full of breading. The sauce was very thin, watery even, and had no flavor. We were so disappointed that we wasted our money on this meal. My family used to eat here pretty often but now we don't at all. The service has just been declining. One evening we came in and the place wasn't very crowded. All we ordered was 2 dishes and a soup. We waited about 20 minutes and we still didn't even get our soup yet. Then plenty of other customer came in, sat down, ordered food and received it right away. After waiting 45 minutes for just at least our soup we finally asked for the bill for our drinks. The workers had very bad attitudes towards us and kept on assuring us the meal would be out within seconds. We gave them 5 more minutes, but still nothing so we just got up and left. I actually believe this Chinese place sales healthy Chinese, the pork fried rice is so delicious and pork is cut to be in big chunks, which I love because when i lived in Richmond Va the pork in the Chinese were little. My love affair with Jade Bamboo goes back several years. While attended the local community college a few friends and I stumbled upon this place. 4 stars for dine in. The inside dawns crisp white table cloths with fancy folded napkins, next to a lucky bamboo plant on top pf hard wood tables that compliment their hardwood flooring making it easy to forget your inside a strip center. The decor is a collection of Asian paintings and hanging lanterns which provide soft lighting on the bleached flour walls and exposed pine beams. The waitstaff is amazing except the female older lady... she is quite short & rude each time. I request another server EVERYTIME we dine in. She is not attentive and is very short. Everytime I take my toddler I have to ask her for a booster.... Take out & TO GO 5 STARS They are Kings of Chinese food. Everything is always hot. Always lots of sauce! Always quick! Love this place for quick chinese delivery. Prices are not bad especially the lunch specials, and portion size is pretty generous. Crabpuffs have auctual crab meat which is a very nice change of pace from the last 14 years of having cream cheese puffs passed off as crab rangoon at so many chinese restaurants. And they do a great job of adding just the right amount of extra spice when requested, gets hot but not enough to not want to eat it. read more

Awful. This place looked nice, but as soon as I tasted their dumplings (which were very obviously premade and reheated), i knew it was quite the opposite. The dumplings were so bad that neither my sister nor I could finish them, and my appetite was ruined, so I couldn't eat anything else. I wouldn't recommend this to anybody. read more

I gave this restaurant 5 stars six months ago. Subsequent orders were great until today. Egg rolls and Egg Foo Young were greasy and the Sweet and Sour Pork tasted old and appeared to be reheated, not to mention the portion is much smaller than normal. I noticed that the restaurant does not comment on reviews but I don't think we will be returning. Really a disappointment as this was the last, good Chinese take-out we found in the area.
