We needed a quick meal before touring UNH, and we were thankful to discover Bamee. Although the menu is relatively small, there was enough variety that it was a difficult decision what to order. I ordered the kimchi fried rice, which was an ample portion of well seasoned rice with ground pork and fermented cabbage. I would have preferred some additional vegetables mixed in for variety, as each bite became more of the same on repeat (though they were good bites)! My son ordered the Moo Ping, which was a heaping bowl of fluffy jasmine rice topped with tender grilled pork. While it was accompanied by a few slices of raw cucumber, this dish also would have benefited from some bok choy, scallion, or something fresh and crunchy to each with the rice. Service was fairly prompt, though I imagine they may get backed up during peak times, as any small kitchen would with a loyal following. There are stations for bowls and utensils, etc., to clean up after yourself. Overall, Bamee is a quaint spot for a quick bite and the kind of place where if you live or work nearby, would likely be on speed dial for takeout!

I came in with no expectations, and for a restaurant themed as "Thai Street Food", the quality is outstanding and the flavor combinations are impressive. I ordered Crab Rangoon's and the Pineapple Fried Rice and overall everything was delicious and very satisfying. I plan to pop back in and start sampling my way around the menu. I would highly recommend Bamee, enjoy!

Every time I go to Bamee the food is amazing. The staff is always really nice, and the seating always has space. The menu is really diverse too! Also if you go as much as I use to, the staff will probably remember you every time they see you. Every time I go in or see them with their food truck, I always hear "Summer! Where you been?" Or "Summer! How's it going" I love it! It makes me feel special

super cute and cozy! We visited our son at UNH and stopped in for a quick lunch. Banee has great ambiance in a quiet and convenient location just off campus. Outdoor seating was nice. Service was great. The menu is sort of Thai Asian fusion with a few specials and a fixed menu. The curry buns were great as were the noodle bowl and rice bowl. Would return.

An unassuming little spot in the Durham UNH campus. A little tricky to navigate if new to the area and via car. Tried the spicy crispy chicken and it was DELICIOUS! Actually really spicy and crispy unlike other places where the heat is barely there. The chicken was still juicy and the flavor was great. I called a few minutes before they closed for lunch break and they were kind enough to accommodate my order. Interior also very modern and hip. 10/10 would come again. Looking forward to the next time I'm in the area to try something new!

Tried ordering online and it was a big fail due to some website glitches. I finally called to place my order after trying to submit my order online 4 times. The staff was helpful and double checked to make sure I didn't actually place 4 online orders. Over the phone I ordered the Pineapple Fried Rice special and Crispy Rolls. My drive to the restaurant is about 17 minutes and my food was ready when I arrived, it was nice not to wait. When I drove all the way back home with my food and started eating, I realized there was absolutely NO PINEAPPLE in my PINEAPPLE Fried Rice. How is it possible to miss the one main ingredient in the name??? The food was alright otherwise. Definitely on the greasy side and not worth raving over. Next time I'll be ordering closer to home.

Found this gem of a restaurant by chance. Had some good reviews on yelp so we gave it a try. We will definitely be returning. We had the Crab Rangoons, Wonton soup, and Chicken Katsu. The food was well prepared and tasty. Be careful with the hot chili sauce they have... It is potent. Staff was friendly and food came out quick. The prices are moderate but a good value for the freshness of the food. Try the bubble tea!

Tasty bowl of noodles, small portion but pricey enough for the campus location and self service type. the place is dim light and bit dirty.

All of the food here was good. The curry was a very enjoyable dish for my dad. The different types of noodles were really good.

Amazing food! Everything I've tried has been way better than I thought. I wish they'd open a Concord location.

Excellent Thai street food and dim sum at Bangkok Street Thai Kitchen in Portsmouth!…read more The inside is kept nice and cool during a hot summer's day with rather dim lighting, so doing my Yelp thing and shooting photos required two phones. One for light, and the other took the pictures...! I ordered the pork and shrimp shumai, which arrived with a nice soy based sauce, crispy garlic, and fresh cilantro. The wrappers were delicate and the filling well-seasoned. When I asked about egg fried rice with Lap Cheong (sweet Chinese sausage), the kitchen prepared it even though it is not listed on the menu. It turned out to be one of the best versions I have had, and my server Arisa mentioned it is also a favorite of hers and her husband's. The Pad Kee Mao with beef (Nua) was flavorful, with wide rice noodles, fresh basil, and vegetables cooked to the right texture. The added bamboo shoots aren't normally on that dish, but a welcome addition here. Arisa was an outstanding server. She was knowledgeable, engaging, and happy to talk about Thai food traditions and family memories. The conversation made the meal more enjoyable. The restaurant's story about its Thai-Chinese roots on Charoen Krung Road comes through in both the menu and the service. Everything I tried was delicious. Highly recommend a visit if you are looking for quality Thai food and dim sum in the Portsmouth area.

Food is tasty & fresh. Portions seem on small side though. Service & ambiance all good.read more
