This family owned restaurant is a great hole in the wall. The atmosphere isn't great but the food is really good. When I'm not feeling well I always order their won ton soup with extra wontons. I've had so many of their dishes and I haven't been disappointed. They have changed their walnut prawns. They don't add the candied walnuts any more. It's still good but much better with the candied walnuts. It's a to go food. Definitely not a date place. It's good family food to go. Price is fair!!! read more

Eh, based on pictures and reviews through DoorDash I was thinking this would be a good spot for some wonton soup and a couple rice plates. It hurts me to say the plain fried rice was the best out of everything we ordered. Our order - Wonton Soup Orange Chicken Rice Plate Mongolian Beef Rice Plate The wonton soup was very basic, a handful of wontons and thin sliced red or purple cabbage only in broth. The wontons were pretty bland, also, the soup turned to a green color because of the cabbage they used. It wasn't very appealing to look at, which made it hard to want to eat it. The orange chicken was the typical sticky glaze over battered friend chicken pieces. Not much of a citrus orange flavor though. It was fine, my kid enjoyed it. The Mongolian Beef was advertised as being hot and spicy, I'm here to tell you it lacked it all. It was more like sliced beef cooked in oyster sauce and served on an enormous pile of grilled onions. What I thought was a great amount of beef was sadly a hoax as there was just a mound of onions beneath it all. Out of all that was ordered, the only enjoyable thing for me was the plain friend rice. My review is based on customer service,because my husband and I didn't get to order. My family is new to the area and have yet to find good food. We came to this place hoping for a different outcome. We walked in there was one customer waiting on his order. We weren't greeted or offered a menu. We found the menu and start to look it over. As we did the lady finally asked have we been helped. Chow fun noodles are wide and chewy which was a positive to me. The food seemed closer to "authentic" chinese than american chinese. Two weeks ago my aunt and I tried the vegetable fried rice. ( BOMB ) Ordered it again, disgusting. Maybe a different cook? Idk.. the consistency was not the same, it was so bland and just not edible. WoW not sure who you have cooking but it's not even close to what I used to get here. Ordered favorites and it was such a disappointment. Dry fried prawns overcooked with barely any onion or jalapeños. Couldn't even find the garlic or flavor it used to have. Ordered green bean chicken and chicken tasted spoiled. The one down fall you have there is that rude ass girl that works there she has a smart ass mouth and that can be bad for business especially since your a small family business. Driving around Pittsburg, I stumbled upon the the Jade House. It's located in an area where there used to be a Hollywood Video and I believe a Round Table I think. A non-impressive sign outside, and inside wasn't all that impressive looking either. Things were in a disarray. Some tables were still dirty. A table in the back had piles of things on it too. I counted about three people visibly working. The man who took my order wasn't pleasant to deal with either. I offered up a smile and a how's it going, but all I got was an irritated look and a gruff, "What do you want?" Picked up a paper menu. Everything categorized nearly under the likes of seafood, beef, appetizers, and what not. Decided to go for the Mongolian Beef with fried rice ($5.50) and the Walnut Prawns ($8.50.) Total: $15.26 ($1.26 tax) Man said it would take 5 to 10 minutes for my food to be ready. He wasn't lying. It took 7. Mongolian Beef- good have been spicier, the meat was a little chewy, and it looked it to have more onions than meat Fried rice: looks overlooked, super dark looking (maybe they might have cooked it earlier and than refried it to make it "fresh"), tasted good though, a-okay Walnut prawns: Got twelve prawns, generous amount of honey glaze, the shrimp tasted amazing 3/5 (Not the best Chinese restaurant I have been to, but for what it's worth, I didn't have a bad time eating the food. Nothing fancy: BBQ Pork Fried Rice, Fried Prawns and Sweet and Sour Chicken. All yummy! 2 weeks later, I placed a take out order also. For the same BBQ Pork Fried Rice, Fried Prawns (appetizer) and Spicy stir-fried Green Beans. The fried rice has TONS of char siu pork in it--more than I've ever seen before. Very generous. The fried prawns are big...a lot of place take a tiny shrimp, flatten it, then coat it in a batter that makes it seem bigger than it is. Not this place--it's all prawn! The spicy green beans were delicious--not too spicy, which was great, since I'm an admitted wimp when it comes to spice. Lots of garlic, too. Yum is all I can say.
