Family we are visiting highly recommended this place and it was pretty delicious. The portions were fulfilling for an average of $10-$18 per dish. The taste was not too overwhelming with MSG or spice and most importantly...none of the dishes were greasy. Not the most exciting flavor but it is enough. Parking was interesting as the entrance is off a busy street with no street parking available. We had to park in a lot with an entrance that could have easily been missed. I can honestly say that the white rice was good, but that was about it. Everything was bland and tasteless, had to use every pack of duck sauce and whatever I could find in my house to give it some semblance of taste. I went here on a recommendation by two people. I was not impressed. The entrance is in the rear. It's not within walking distance of town center. I ordered online and did not receive a message or text that my order was ready. When I entered my order was on the counter for anyone to take. When I looked in the bag, there were no utensils. There was no one around. There was one patron sitting at a table. The interior looked dirty to me and very outdated. I had to look into the kitchen to get someones attention. The chicken was cooked well and the vegetables seamed ok. The rice was not packed on the container like others. It was kinda just scooped in. There were no choices for gluten-free sauce. There is another better Asian restaurant in town within walking distance of town center that I will continue to patronize. I will not be back and don't recommend this place. read more

Is this place under new management? I was so disappointed as this was my daughter's favorite Chinese restaurant in NJ. They seemed short-staffed when we dined in as people was picking up orders & they had to wait for their food. My husband ordered the crispy shrimp with walnuts, I was not impressed by looking at it. I gotta say I'm surprised. I came here looking for a late lunch take out and it looks like your run of the mill buffet or Chinese restaurant. Right down from the setting to many selections on the menu. I went with the Thai curry fish. You choose your rice and canned drink with the lunch special. The fish was plentiful and had a nice curried flavor, could've been a bit saucier but it was very nicely prepared. Some of the onions were pretty large too but that's not exclusive to here. What I really liked was how cheap it was. The food and drink were less than $8 after taxes. Even local places near by job are beaten by that when it comes to cheap lunch. I know places like these it may be mediocre but for the price and how good the lunch was I have to say I'm impressed. You call, they are nice, they recognize us by our number, they keep our card on file, they are pleasant. SOMETHING HAS CHANGED and it's absolutely for the WORSE. Terrible, rude, extremely late deliveries (it's a random Thursday night in September and we've been waiting an hour and a half for some dumplings) with no apologies or accommodations of any kind. We've been ordering prom this place long time before it became "new". Food was tasty, typically on time as they said it'd be delivered. Not as so anymore. Food changed, almost all have the same taste, soups are with no appreciable flavor. Tonight's order was to be 30-40 minutes but after 1.5 hours, was told that the delivery driver was in the next town which could be at least 20-30 mins or even more. It used to be a very solid Chinese restaurant in this town. It seems like they have either changed the ownership or the chefs. I ordered the roast duck noodles soup and there is no meat on the duck. This was an amazing find through Yelp. I was looking for a good restaurant nearby my town and came across this one. We ordered House Special Wonton Soup for 2 which quite tasty and generous in bowl size. Our main course was Jade Lake Special Shredded Beef with Pepers and Shrimp and vegetables in garlic sauce. The beef was spicy and very tasty. The garlic shrimp was equally good. The portion sizes were huge. I wish I had taken some pictures but all we have are our leftovers for tomorrow. ! We placed an order during Covid and gave them an hour to assemble the order. Waited on the car line for 45 minutes. Called the restaurant and the woman was of absolutely no help. Didn't even try to help. Finally got the food and brought it home. It was not worth the wait. This restaurant seems to always be empty but has a brisk take out business. So it was surprising when they couldn't get their act together to assemble our order in due time. We have lived in the Millburn area for 25 years and go to this restaurant every 3 to 4 years. We had Christmas Eve Reservations for Sparta of 13 people. We placed our food orders with owners week in advance to be certain everyone would be served at the same time. Needless to say we got to the restaurant on time and checked in and were seated by our waiter. The first course stated coming out about ten minutes later, one order at a time and was like warm at best. Two soups were sent back as cold and came back just as cold ten minutes later. Long story short it was over an hour before our last two dishes were served. Remember our orders were placed a week earlier.
