I had come to see Nikki last Friday for a full balayage coloring since I wanted to look good for my birthday dinner. I scheduled through Facebook originally for 12pm but was bumped to 12:30pm. Friday morning rolls around and I get a call asking if I could come earlier, I said maybe 11:30am or 12pm since it really depended on when my manicure/pedicure would be done. I called Nikki back to let her know I'd get there closer to 12pm, and when I showed up I waited half an hour since she was actually finishing up with 2 other people. There are no walk-ins taken, you have to either schedule ahead of time or she will reach out to you if she has availability. I should have brought lunch because Lord, I underestimated how long it would take to get my hair done. I've gotten full color before so I don't know why I was being optimistic thinking we'd finish in 2 hours. We started about 12:30 and I'd given Nikki full reign on the color of my hair. She ended up choosing an ash blonde which is a new color for me and overall it turned out pretty well! I got a lot of compliments on it during my birthday dinner! From dying, to toning, to cutting, to styling in all it took 3.5 hours during which I was sleepy and starving. Nikki was nice enough to let me nap at the hair washing station while the toner sat in my hair, and when I woke up she offered me Vietnamese coffee and some English tea biscuits to eat which I gladly accepted. For people who would normally be awake during this time, there's a TV where you can put on a movie or music videos to watch. Total my hair cost $350 after tip which included a bottle of moisturizing conditioner, so Nikki's prices are pretty unbeatable!! Would definitely recommend coming here for the warm hospitality and good work! read more

This is my 3rd time coming , she didn't give me what I wanted so she fixed my hair for free . This time I went because I wanted to go more silver and she was in a rush due to personal reasons ; which I understand. She bleached my hair to make it lighter and the toner didn't latch on due to being too light or Whatver . But toner usually stays on for 20-30 mins and it was left on for about 10 mins or so . I have been getting Rebond/Yuko Japanese treatment before from different country so I tried it here in US 3 days ago in the hopes that it will be better results since it's USA and this salon is Certified however to my dismay, it's not any better and it's my worse. I thought I felt rushed during the last step but seeing the results, I was not wrong. This treatment if not done properly, you'll get brittled hair in random areas. So sad but irreversible. I love everything about Jade Salon! The ambiance is sleek and chic when you walk in. You immediately feel welcomed especially with Nikki! I called her for a last minute appointment and luckily she was able to accommodate. I had a haircut and style for a wedding and I'm super grateful she took me on. I had plenty of compliments on my hair so I had an iPhone photo shoot with it. Jade Salon has a lot of services ranging from haircuts to nails to facials to waxing. Hello, I have seen other comments on the stylist being late and did not think much of it, I thought it was just maybe a family emergency that time. When I arrived I waited well over the scheduled time. The hair cut was alright but was still not what I was hoping for from the photos shown. I waited for an hour with no contact from the stylist and an open sign still on the window. After multiple attempts to contact I almost gave up but decided I did really need an improvement on myself. I am not sure if I would come back here based on the long wait time with 0 contact or even a warning they would be that late. They did offer a beverage which was very kind and much appreciated. read more

I came into the salon wanting to be able to tame my frizzy, easily tangled hair (I have a LOT of hair). At first I was thinking about a Brazilian blowout but Nikki recommended a new way of straightening/smoothing unmanageable hair and recommended Pura Luxe. I didn't know what it was but wanted to give it a try and I loved the results. After the treatment my hair is so much easier to maintain and it never felt so smooth. She is also one of the only people in San Diego to be certified by the company to do this treatment other than further up north (mostly LA area). I'm glad I chose this and would definitely come back. Before coming to Jade Salon, I had my hair bleached by someone and the outcome was horrific. I literally had orange and yellow hair! It was crazy and I was super unhappy. Desperate to get my hair done before going back to work, I called a few salons. I was disappointed in the first couple of salons I called because they didn't sound like they wanted to help me find a solution to my problem. When I called Jade Salon, Nikki picked up and immediately gave me multiple options to what we could do to bring my hair back to life. I was super relieved. If you're thinking about getting color corrected or balayage, definitely give yourself the entire day because you never know how long it'll take. It all depends on what kind of hair you have. Coming into the salon, Nikki greeted me right away and got me settled in. She offered water and coffee and then threw on some music for us. The salon is absolutely beautiful! I felt very comfortable. a couple of hours into my appointment, she offered me a piece of fudge. HOMEMADE ROCKY ROAD FUDGE!! Nikki is honestly one of the most down to earth and sweetest woman I've ever met. Conversation came easily and it really felt like i've known her for a long time even though we had just met! After she washed and dried my hair, she gave me layers which helped my flat Asian hair look voluminous! We had a little mini photo shoot session and to say the very least, I AM SO HAPPY WITH THE OUTCOME OF MY HAIR!! It was the best salon experience ever. Let me start off by saying Nikki at Jade Salon is amazing! If you need to color, cut or style your hair by an extremely talented hair dresser, you've come to the right place. Parking: 5/5 There were several parking spots available! Even though it was around 12ish when I got there. My boyfriend could have easily parked in the front of the salon itself but he was only there to drop me off. Finding parking here shouldn't be a problem. Customer service: 10/5! Seriously, not kidding, Nikki is absolutely amazing at what she does and she's such a sweetheart! She does her best to make sure you're comfortable and taken care of. You can tell she wants the absolute best for her clients and makes sure to address all of your hair needs. I came in prior to my appointment for a consultation and she came over to talk to me right away. She was so sweet and easy going and she gave me a quick run through of what needed to be done to my hair and how she was going to do it. I already had my hair dyed previously (a gray/silver balayage) and I wanted to get a blonde ombre/balayage for my hair. Day of the appointment I came in and while I waited for Nikki to finish up with a client, she let me relax in the back and let me use one of the massage chairs! She even offered me some of her apples from her backyard! (I swear, she's so sweet and hospitable, she really takes care of you) The end results were amazing and I was incredibly happy with my new hair color! My hair was so soft and she used this spray that was meant to tone blonde hair and it smelled SO good! Even after my hair was bleached twice now, it still feels very strong and healthy and it's all thanks to Nikki and her hard work. The color was also exactly what I wanted and even surpassed my own expectations. I was in need of pedicure and I'm just visiting in this area. Owner was nice over the phone. The salon is clean and seems to be brand new. At this moment salon doesn't have a sign yet so I had to guess which door is for salon. The positive is again as I said owner was very nice and helped me to be situated while nail technician was finishing with another client. The down side is the pedicure wasn't good. (I had gel) Unfortunately I was almost sent with scratched nail even though I clearly saw that the nail technician noticed it. She tried to correct it, but once I left and could take a closer look 1/3 of a nail didn't have nail polish. I'm giving it 3 stars since it wasn't an absolutely terrible but if I lived here I wouldn't come back for nail services in this salon.
