Absolutely amazing facial!! This place is outstanding. I had a facial and light peel with Maggie, and my skin glows. I am 52, skin was congested and dull. I had pretty much given up on facials in this area. At many spas, yes, it is nice to lay there and have a mask put on but they did nothing. THIS facial? Rediculously good. Maggie was no joke on extractions - but very attuned to what I needed. The peel was a perfect choice. I have fair skin and can be a mess with strong acids. This peel created an awesome glow, but no downtime and flaking. Wonderful. The place is immaculately clean and calm. The owner was welcoming and super pro. These ladies know skin!! I've been going to Jadwig regularly for over a year. I've had numerous services including 2 lash lifts, but this time something went VERY wrong. My lashes were singed, curled up to my lash line and going every direction. The results of this last 6-8 WEEKS and there is NOTHING you can do to correct it. It has now been over 6 weeks and they are finally starting to relax a little, but not to the point where I can wear mascara again. To make matters worse was how the owner, Joanna, handled the situation. I left her a detailed message and she didn't even return my call, I had to call her again. The first time I went back she didn't even approach me to look at them. No accountability whatsoever. She did everything she could to avoid the issue. Her response to me was "I'm really sorry". "We followed protocol" and "this has never happened" Well, sorry doesn't cut it! Jadwig does not deserve my business. read more

I've been really disappointed by the declining attitude and poor service I've received at Jadwig. I'd been going there for over seven years and now this is a sad place to visit-the owner clearly does not want to be there and it's down-right depressing. Based on the owner(s) increasing anemic attitude I'm not sure they will care about a poor review. Unfortunately the, "spa" has declined since the wonderful Katie left, Mia is gone now and Dr. Michelle is no longer providing her amazing services. Their only strong point: The new waxer (Ava?) is very pleasant and eager to please-so you might give her a shot. My last experience there was painful-For $50.00 the owner took approximately 5 minutes to roughly wax my brows, leaving them very raw, uneven and when I went home, I realized the dye was laid so heavily it looked ridiculous -the skin all around the brows was dyed as well. For a nice small place-with the loveliest owner, try Harmony Day Spa in Caldwell! Owned and operated by a woman, Amy - She'll give you exactly what you need-spends extra time with you, doesn't push extra services, products and has a beautiful positive attitude. read more

I agree with J K. about the poor service and attitude at Jadwig. I used to go to Jadwig regularly for a variety of services, but had to stop due to the unprofessionalism and moodiness of the owner and her employees. Joanna is quite gifted with makeup, but, unfortunately, there were two times I literally had to go home and wash her very expensive makeup application off my face because she was in a bad mood when I arrived for my appointment. I had received some excellent makeup applications from Joanna in the past, so I thought that warranted giving her another chance; I guess she showed me. It's also worth mentioning that the owner stood me up twice when I was a regular client - both times were makeup appointments for relatives' weddings, so important appointments to me - and the sudden cancellations left me scrambling at the last minute. The worst part was that no one ever even called to apologize or explain what happened - either time! My mother paid one of her employees a substantial amount of money to come to the house and apply her makeup for a very special black tie affair she was attending. This employee had done her makeup in the past and was very good at what she did. On this particular occasion, however, this employee arrived with a negative and rude attitude and purposely did a terrible job on my mother's makeup. Right before collecting $200 for her terrible services. For one person's makeup! And as an aside: she very clearly purposely did a terrible job on her makeup because when my mother calmly and politely asked her to fix something (because it looked terrible), this employee was very abrupt, inpatient and rude and made whatever she was asked to fix look worse (sloppier and absurdly heavy on the makeup, despite my mother asking her to make it look as natural as possible...my mother even asked her to make it look like the last time she applied her makeup, and showed her a picture of that application, but, apparently, this employee had other plans). In short, the point of this review is not to vent or put anyone down, it's 1) to warn people before they waste their money; and, more importantly, 2) as you can read above, we've put up with way too much unprofessionalism from this business because there are some very talented people who work there...but I urge everyone to find someone who is talented who also WANTS to work and appreciates your business, because those are the people who will act professionally and those professionals are the ones who deserve your business. read more

I've been getting my eyebrows waxed by Kate since I was in my early teens. No exaggeration, everywhere I go I get compliments on how gorgeous my eyebrows are and everyone wants to know who waxes them ( I love going to Kate or Mia). The boutique spa is very trendy and chic. I've been going to Jadwig for years & find them to be professional & very good at what they do. My only complaint is that they recently raised eyebrow waxing from $20 to $30...a steep uptick in price. Now I go less often, but I still love Mia- the best at brows! read more

Super clean, well run (you never wait for an appt to start) and very professional, knowledgable staff that know their stuff. I've been Kate and Mia and would highly recommend either. As I have been going to JADWIG SPA in Cedar Grove, NJ for the past eight years, I too have been noticing the declining attitude of the owner, Joanna...she is a cold fish who lacks the personality to be even running a business. She has a "high and mighty" attitude who barely acknowledges your presence when you walk in the door! A few months ago I had a 1:15 pm Saturday appointment for a simple facial lip wax and I walked into the establishment at 1:21 pm because I was delayed by the mail truck who was delivering mail to the stores alongside her spa, therefore, I could not get thru to get my car parked and I was humiliated and told that I could not have my facial lip wax done because I was late...SIX MINUTES. Are we kidding? I was infuriated because I always found it no problem when I would have to sit there and patiently wait while they were finishing up with another client. When I got back into my car and phoned Joanna to express my disappointment at the way I was treated after I have gone there on several occasions for facials, etc., as well as recommended family members and friends to go there, Joanna said she had offered to give me another person to do the lip wax, which was a downright lie... I was told I was late, period. I don't think if she had asked the next client after me for two minutes to do a simple facial lip wax that the next client would have been so rude to say no...I believe the owner Joanna lacks the finesse and warm personality needed in order to run a business, which requires give and take. Furthermore, Joanna does horrible work and I refuse to have anything done by her. If it weren't for Ava, or Mia who is no longer there as well as Kate, who are both missed, no one would be giving her any business at all, purely because what transpired on Saturday afternoon, 5/7/2016 was sheer rudeness, uncalled for, disrespectful and "poor business practice." She is not running a spa in Beverly Hill's, CA where she couldn't have Ava who my appointment was with to take two minutes to do a simple facial lip wax when I had the appointment., simply because I was SIX MINUTES late, give me a break. They are not the only spa in the area, so girls beware of the poor attitude so obviously displayed by the owner and noted by other clients. I have been going to Jadwig's for years! Their spa is nothing short of absolutely wonderful! I struggled with cystic acne for quite some time in my late twenties and couldn't understand why I was breaking out so bad. There were days that I wouldn't want to go outside because my skin was so inflamed. Joanna was so helpful in finding ways to help my skin be the best version of itself. She actually recommended at one point that I switch my BC pill as a way to end my cystic acne once and for all. She was right! I switched from Alta Vera to beYaz and cannot thank her enough for changing my life! It didn't take very long to kick in either. My skin has never looked better. I owe Joanna my life! I never thought there would come a day that I would have a clear complexion. She knows what she's doing. So happy to work with someone who has a background like hers. read more
