Stopped at Wally's after a basketball tournament with three hungry teens. We pulled into two different drive in slots, but they were both out of order. We eventually just parked and went inside to order. Really cool old school atmosphere. I love driving up and ordering, then having the food brought to your car, disappointed no slots we tried were operational. Service was great inside where we eventually ordered. We tried two fried chicken sandwiches, a double cheeseburger, the BBLT, and the special- a Philly cheeseburger. All were delicious and cooked fresh. The fries stole the show- really good thick cut fries. Onion rings- not great. Overall really hit the spot after games. read more

Drove past this location, a billion and one times. Finally had the time and appetite to make my way to Wally's. I ordered the cheese burger with grilled onions and also the bacon cheeseburger with fries and taters. The burgers were soooo good but the fries were okay. They are beer battered. Not my favorite. The taters were good - who can go wrong with a tater tot. Service was okay. Ambiance was okay - definitely 1950s drive in. The vibe was not welcoming for us. read more

Was visiting Enumclaw/Buckley for the first time not too long ago, and I thought Wally's Drive-In would be a great place to check out since it fit the vibes of the adventure. My friend and I decided to dine in, so we both got some burgers and fries. I ordered the Wally Whopper which came with two patties, slices of American cheese and pieces of bacon, and some veggies between brioche buns. Ah man, the first few bites were SO GOOD. It tastes like how burgers should always be. But over time as I kept eating, I got a little tired of eating it. Maybe it was just too much for me, perhaps a single patty would have done me better. The fries were also great, thick cut and every bite was satisfying. Now THAT is something I can't get sick of. The house sauce with the fries also paired well together. Not the kind of burger place I would keep coming back to if it was near me, but if I am in the area I would consider revisiting. read more

Let's start first with the atmosphere, love it. This is exactly the kind of old school diner that I love. They get bonus points for staying true to that vibe. Next we can talk about the excellent service the staff here provide, they are friendly and seem to really care about their customers. Unfortunately the food is where it fell short for me. The rodeo burger was great, cheese and saucy, just the way it should be. However, the fried chicken sandwich was bland, had no flavor... the breading needed seasoning for sure, and that bland chicken ruined the whole sandwich for me. The onion rings were better than average, as it didn't have the stringy stuff that makes you pull out the whole onion when you bite in, good for them on that... but again the batter was sorta bland. Lastly was Wally's sauce, let's talk about this for a minute.... I have a bone to pick with these places, everyone claiming to have their secret sauce... Normas, Big Tom's, Bob's, Frisko Freeze, Shake Shake Shake... I could go on.... ITS ALWAYS THE SAME SAUCE. Some variation of mayo, ketchup, mustard, and relish, Worcestershire, and garlic powder. Can we please come together and just make this known so they stop charging us extra for the secret sauce. Please, we don't get charged for ketchup, or mustard or mayo, it's not a secret, everybody has it... Ok rant over... Anyway go here, it's reasonably priced, friendly, cool vibe... I found them to be really tasty burgers! I guess I prefer my burgers bare at a place like this. The only reason for 4 stars is because I wish the bread held up a little more! I really enjoyed the fries! The tots weren't bad but I'll leave those to taco time. It was fun to sit there and eat our burgers then head over to the other side of the street for ice cream. My family of four ate here after hiking at Mount Rainier National Park, and it hit the spot! The burgers are great, I highly recommend the milkshakes, and the atmosphere was great! It was an old-school vibe that made my parents nostalgic. My mom forgot her fish didn't come with fries, so she went inside and told us she had just forgotten to order them. This place is like going back into the 1960's drive in and has lots of nostalgia where you can drive up and eat from the car. We were seeing how close we could get to to Mt. Rainier and you drive right by Wally's on the way. From the street view it's very inviting and stop by and seems like you're going "Back to the Future" by having a burger, coke and wrinkle fried potato's. read more

Very nice folks! Yummy food! I got a cheeseburger and my friend got some special burger and they were both fantastic! The onion rings are amazing. Soggy burgers with way too much sauce in the middle, making it an average sloppy burger to satisfy your cravings. It is better than most fast food places though. We ordered a butterscotch shake, a chocolate shake, and jalapeño burgers: Butterscotch tastes like melted Wether's butterscotch candies. - 7/10. Chocolate tastes a lot like a melted Hershey's chocolate bar. - 5/10. My fiance didnt like it because it was way too sugary and sweet. The jalapeño burger was average. Regular lettuce and tomatoes, nothing special. Patty was cooked well done. Just way too much mayo, causing the dining experience to be messier than usual. - 7/10. Tater tots were crispy and squishy in the middle. Not an overall crisp taste. - 5/10 Overall, I will come back, but with a different menu item. Coming to this place is like taking a time warp. But in a really good way. You place your order though a speaker and wait and someone brings out your meal while you sit and eat. They even come back after a bit to take the garbage. We had fish and chips. At first the price seems a bit high for a 2 piece. But no one said the pieces are huuuge. Had a corn dog craving so my buddy and I set off for Buckley from Kent. Two retirees with food on their minds. A half hour drive through the back roads we arrived. Surprise! It was the old fashioned drive in with stalls to park and order. We opted to go in and there was seating for maybe 25-30 in 50's era decor( right up these two geezers alley) They had all you can eat fish n chips, coke slaw and chowder special so Mike went for that but I had my heart set on a corn dog with onion rings. It was amazingly good, in fact I ordered another. I did get a taste of the fish and, just like its affiliate Wally's in Des Moines, it was the bomb! Crispy on the outside, light moist and flaky on the inside. The fries were some of the best I've tasted. Mike said the chowder was also excellent. I would be remiss in not giving kudos to the young man who helped us out. He was friendly, jovial and put smiles on our faces. The business was super clean as were the bathrooms. This place came up in conversation years ago. My Nephew asked me if I heard of it. I told him I had and also informed him of the seafood location in Des Moines. At a minimum, I would say Buckley is out of the way, but I actually found the drive here not to be nearly as bad as I expected. Unfortunately, GPS took me down 169 and that is a single lane road for at least 10 miles. That meant a caravan of clowns driving 35 to 40 miles an hour despite clearly posted speed limits of 50mph. I went around a couple people, but unfortunately, that stretch of road is not forgiving and doesn't allow you to pass often. Once here, the parking lot was huge. It appeared they had car service, but with temperatures in the 90's there was no way I was sitting in the car. I had what would have been a combo meal if they offered it. Bacon cheeseburger with fries and a soft drink It came to $18, so too much for fast food. I read a review where someone compared this place to Minor's in Yakima. If you have never been. Minors is a life changing burger. Wally's was anything but. There was nothing special about the patty even though some claim it's ground from steak. Matter of fact the bacon was so undercooked it was chewy and tasted like ham I was disgusted, that is a great way to give someone food poisoning. The fries were hot and crisp, but again, the burger was average at best. Both Frugal's and Flame in Auburn serve a better burger and for almost half the price. I regretted not going to either after my first bite. I'm glad I came here, not because it was good, because it wasn't. I'm glad I came here, so I can cross another overrated food stand off my list. 100% recommend you avoid this place. But if you decided to ignore my suggestion, you can find them at the intersection of highway 410 and disappointment Blvd. read more

We drove 40 mins to check out this drive in and it was so worth it. Iconic old school drive in!! We of course ordered the burgers, fries, mozzarella sticks and ice cream. All was very good! I ordered the jr cheeseburger which was like the size of a normal cheeseburger to me!! My fiance got their whopper which has two huge patties, lots of bacon and other yummy toppings!!
