    Burrito Grande Wet

**LOCAL GEM** Of all the Mexican restaurants in Grover Beach, Jalapeños is our favorite. Their Grande Burrito Wet ($15.29) is HUGE and is my husband's "favorite that he's found" here (and we've tried many), and they are my go to when I'm hankering for Chile Relleno. Excellent food, good portions for the prices, warm dine-in service, cozy atmosphere and easy parking behind the restaurant. They also do take out (which I just got today) which was super quick to order and pick up, and included free chips & salsa.

Food is amazing! First, chips n salsa are fresh. Great taste. I ordered combo #11 chile relleno and shredded beef taco, both were served hot and taste so good. My hubby ordered an asada burrito and it was all gone within 5 minutes. Definitely recommend and will be back later this week!

We got seated and was served a good sized bowl of tortilla chips and salsa, the tortilla chips were thick, I wasn't liking the chips because at a restaurant I have eaten thinner chips, but I loved the salsa. I ordered Huevos Rancheros, and it was pretty good tasting eggs, rice and beans, I know that there were 2 corn tortillas on the bottom of the eggs, but I wished they would have offered 2 corn or flour tortillas with this order, but I give the restaurant 5 stars because of the customer service on our waitress taking care of the whole restaurant.

Tacos n Guacamole! Happy Taco Tuesday don't forget the guacamole.

Tacos are calling are you willing to answer! It's all in the name right, it has to be since that's the first catch that caught me. Sweet dreams can be had with jalapeños. As we wander through the rows of shops here along the avenues; each one so colorful. The salty air invades our senses as we trekked. After making a few laps around this block and that block one builds and appetite up. Tacos are always something that fulfills the hunger call. As we walked in the restaurant the smells from the kitchen hit us. It's that feeling from the smells coming from the kitchen, "yeah this place will do just fine." Let's eat tacos. We were seated immediately at a great table overlooking boulevard with a huge picture window to enjoy the show outside while we dine in. The menu very simple to order. The authenticity of the restaurant was perfect indeed. The language barrier was a little difficult, luckily I can speak taco in all languages. As the waitress walked away she left complimentary chips and salsa. The mmmm now don't fill up too much on that chips and salsa, tacos are a coming. The chips and salsa are authentic . I can remember every dip too. We added with an up charge of five dollars fresh avocado. The avocado was fresh and made to order. Yum yum! Tacos loaded with extra extra cheese, fresh jalapeños, lettuce and guacamole. We have lunch here. All we wanted was tacos, so that is all we had in abundance. In no time that dozen tacos were at our table screaming for us to eat them. The tacos come simple with lots of shredded steak, lettuce, and cheese. The cheese is always the best part of Mexican food. Then you add some jalapeños and salsa. Now that we have been fed it's time to continue on our journey. Stop and pick the peppers once in awhile. Where ever the road takes you, take that left and explore where your are. We found this Mexican food joint out and about the journey of life. We are filling those pages with our spicy delicious eats that made our days even better. The road of life can end when and where you make it; but always remember tacos.

Half eaten delicious wet asada burrito

Just had an asada wet burrito. Served piping hot and was flavorful and huge. My daughter who is four even loved it. The service was friendly and although we were the only ones there it was comfortable and they have it nice and clean with nice plants and decor. I feel like people are missing out. It's been a long time since i've had jalepeno's and I'm happy to say they did not disappoint.

I waited 45 minutes and paid $6 dollars for this piece of crap (will attach a pic) i got the vegetarian taco, which you would think they could at least add some cheese to it for flavor but nope. Also, for a place called "The gril", you would think that the vegetables WOULD actually be grilled, but no, they were not. The rice was dry, and the beans had no flavor. I literally could not eat it and left half of it there. My server felt so bad she insisted on not taking a tip. So because of this crappy company, my server did not get a tip. I would have insisted, but I didn't have cash, and she would not allow me to add a tip to my card charge because she knew I waited 45 minutes for a fu*king vegetable taco ‍ Honestly, I think they screwed up and forgot, because there's no way it should have taken that long, and she knew that....she kind of flinched and grimaced, and she said "I'm sorry, I think they got backed up" and kind of rolled her eyes as if to say, I think they fu*ked up, she even said quietly to me "I think maybe they forgot". This was for the live music event on Friday, 6/19 at Claiborne & Churchill. The music was great, The servers/ wine stewards were amazing, but the food was horrible. At least my taco was. if I ever see La Parilla serving food again anywhere I am, I will not order anything! BLECH. Oh, also I asked for no onions, and they couldn't even get that right. In one of my pictures, you will see onions that I pulled aside on the plate. I could have pulled aside more, but I was wolfing down what I could after waiting 45 miinutes for a frigging shit*y vegetarian taco that was crap when I got finally got it. NOT worth the wait. No cheese, no sour cream, no guacamole....just dry rice, flavorless beans, and a few pieces of bell pepper, plus onions - which I asked to NOT HAVE. What a pathetic, underflavored, overpriced taco. Ironically, I drove by Hannah's tacos food truck earlier, and I should have just bought some tacos from them. They are, I think $3 per taco, and 10 times better than this crap was

The space has a cool, modern vibe while still feeling welcoming, and everything was spotless--it honestly looks brand new and very well maintained. It's the kind of place where you feel comfortable lingering a bit longer and enjoying your meal. The only small downside for me was that the chips and salsa were served at the same time as the main dishes. I would have preferred to have them brought out earlier as a starter, just to enjoy them before the meal arrived. Overall, it's more than just a quick bite--it's a place we'd gladly come back to for both the food and the inviting environment.
