Met my friend for lunch on 8/10, so I've really lagged on reviewing! There's plenty of free parking but google maps was a little confused (frequently happens within shopping areas!) and I ended up circling a bit. Others have mentioned the setup, so I don't really need to go into it. I will say though, the choices are staggering! It took both of us several minutes to figure out what to order. I chose the gyro wrap and they got lamb kabobs, which came with two sides and they were really pleased that spiced pumpkin was an option. I'd say we waited about 10 minutes, which isn't bad since it was obviously very fresh. Although we ordered and paid at the counter, the food was brought to our table. My gyro had a good balance of ingredients and the meat was perfectly spiced and tender. I took half of it home to devour later and it was just as good reheated the next day. My friend's food looked delicious and they pronounced it "excellent", with very tender kabobs and tasty sides. The salad was "crisp and fresh". They also love the Tandoori naan, and took half of it home for later. They had a can of soda, as well, while I didn't have a drink. It was a belated birthday lunch for them, so it was my treat. I was very pleased with the bill of $33. I tipped in cash. We actually agreed that although we seldom revisit a restaurant as we like to try a new one each month, we want to return in order to try more of the excellent food. read more

Stopped in on the recommendation of my brother. Now this place is unique because they serve Mexican and Afghan cuisine. They also have a few other items such as their seafood fries that don't fit either cuisine. It was not crowded on a Sunday afternoon. I got the meat lovers for two to take home. I was in the mood for Mexican food and wanted something other than a Chipotle burrito. When I pulled up to the restaurant I was surprised that they advertise serving halal meat so predominantly. I counted seven signs around the restaurant at least. The menu consists of a little bit of everything. You can get an American burger, a Mexican quesadilla, and Middle Eastern kabobs in one place. I decided to get an order of beef samosas with chutney and a chicken quesadilla. Alongside the quesadilla I got the lime avocado dipping sauce which was really the star of the show. Everything was absolutely perfect. The samosas were light and flaky and paired perfectly with the chutney. The quesadilla was filling and the chicken was plentiful. This is my new go-to for Mexican food. Next time I plan on ordering the Make Your Own burrito. read more

Went on a Sunday and the place was pretty empty. There were only two guys working, one in front of the counter and one in the back kitchen. They weren't super friendly or inviting - but it was a rainy Sunday and they hardly had customers, so they are forgiven for that. Ordering was easy, I chose a taco salad that I could assemble myself. My bf chose a specialty burrito that needed to go to the back kitchen to be assembled for the most part. The place seemed clean enough, but a couple of the booth options seemed like they hadn't been wiped down after the last folks ate. The food though, was good. The meat was seasoned well and the salsas and sauces were also pretty flavorful. I wouldn't say they are at chipotle or qdoba level of deliciousness as yet but it wasn't disappointing. They give you a good portion of food for a decent price, so this place is worth popping by if you're in the area and in the mood for something new. Our family's go to restaurant when we want fresh delicious Mexican food. We've tried various items and all has been delicious. The shrimp and fish tacos are one of my favorite. Shrimp and fish are grilled when ordered with your choice of topping. Also, there homemade chips is so so good. I'm super picky. These are not to thick or thin with a nice crunch. A must have every time. They carry a nice variety of toppings to accompany Burritos, Nacho, tacos with meat kind choices of chicken, steak or ground beef. The sauces comes in mild, medium, or hot. They also have vegetarian options but can't speak to those. Minus a star due to the limited drink options. Was walking over to try the Nothing Bundt Cakes bakery, when I was struck - Yes; struck by a whiff of something amazing. Grilled meats, spices - the aromas were incredible. I wasn't hungry that day but vowed to come back and so I have been, week after week, for a month now - going on month two. Everything is homemade, fresh ingredients, lots of cilantro, avocado, tomatoes, onions, jalapenos - do not skip anything, pile it high and where the pants with the extra waist bands - for this meal, good portion sizes. What I have tried so far - fragrant spinach, curried potatoes with chickpeas, eggplant/garlic/tomatoes, lamb shank (huge, tender, braised in lamb stock, spices), puffy, hot, chewy pita as big as your face, tender, spiced chicken shawarma wrap, chicken kebobs (loaded with spices, so very flavorful) - additionally, these folks are super nice. Food was decent, nothing really special. The food itself would be a 4/5. Ordered a taco bowl, pretty nice. The fried food was really oil, not that big of a complain, it's fried food. I'm giving them a 1 star because who I'm assuming is the owner was rudeeeeee. Who appears to be an Uber eat driver, came and showed her phone to pick up someone's order. But the owner was like "say the name" and she tries to show the phone again, then he says "show me the phone again and I will break it" and kicks her out the store. She might not know much English, or something, have to see the bigger picture. But after he kicks her out, he goes around complaining to all employees how this little lady keep showing him a phone. Quite pathetic in my opinion. But definitely will never recommend people this location, use your money else where. read more

I noticed this place while visiting another business in the strip mall. I decided to try it out. It was clean but no other customers were there. Maybe because it was Memorial Day. It was clean, and the food on the bar seemed fresh, considering no one else was there. I ordered a chicken burrito, French fries, rice and black beans, chips and guac and a shrimp quesadilla. Everything was delicious. Of course, I've had better but for the price is was quite good. The guacamole was creamy and the rice and beans were flavorful. I even enjoyed my shrimp quesadilla. I would return to try other items on the menu. Hopefully, when I visit, more people will be in there. I don't like eating at places when there isn't a constant flow of customers. read more

Definitely "fresh-Mex" this food is always fresh and the establishment stays clean. The owner and staff is always friendly and the lines are fairly short during even the busiest of times. I typically get the tacos or bowl. They are both very filling. The prices are reasonable, a meal is under $10 and the drinks are refillable. Very rarely do I venture to the same restaurant twice in one week. But then again, I've never been to a restaurant that is a Mexican, Afghan, Indian restaurant all in one. I ordered the lamb chops with pumpkin. The pumpkin was delicious and plentiful pairing nicely with the flavorful rice. The lamb chops were tasty, evenly textured and tender. The lamb chop platter comes with rice, salad, naan and a choice of side. The next day I ordered the chicken tikka with the pumpkin again. Phenomenal. The naan was also freshly prepared and piping hot. All of the platters were a great value, coupling the grandeur/size of the meal with an affordable price. We always wanted to try this place out since it opened, and finally just decided to order here vs the authentic Mexican food down the road because I wanted nachos and a burrito. I'm not even a fan of Chipotle like that, but I prefer Chipotle over this place. Chipotle has more flavor for sure. Our takeout order: 1 Steak burrito 1 ground beef salad bowl 1 Nacho Macho The only thing I could taste in the steak burrito was the spice from the jalapeños not the steak, not the cilantro-like rice (sounded good, but couldn't taste it). I did ask for slice of lime with my nachos, but it didn't come with it. Possibly because they just don't offer like slices, but if you claim "fresh" you should have limes readily available...like authentic places...even Chipotle offered slices of lemon before. The salad bowl was shredded iceberg lettuce with loads of sour cream and it basically was the nachos on top of chips. I was not at all thrilled with the food. Nothing else on the menu interests me, not even the special burritos. Because if you can't get the basics down, why should I expect the special ones to be any better. read more

The Mexican Bistro side is good all on its own but OMG the Combo Platter is saliva-inducing I got the Kofta & Chicken Combo with Daal (lentils). It came with a generous portion of seasoned rice, salad, and naan bread. For me, it was the perfect level of savory and hot-ish spices. It will be a little kick for anyone who identifies as Mild. Everything was spiced perfectly. The chicken was moist and tender; the kofta was like joy! It is enough for leftovers but I just want to keep eating. And don't you dare complain about the wait time. Ive had both cuisines at this point! Both sides offer great food! From chicken tikka masala, kabob platters, curries to tacos, taco bowls, and quesadillas! This place has it all! And all of it is very good! I've tried the chicken tuna masala, the lamb, tacos and quesadillas! All were very flavorful...slightly spicy though...but soo good! The customer service here is top notch! The gentleman who work here are amazing!! They are friendly and extremely patient! My daughter was given a complimentary sample bowl of stewed lamb and rice! My first and last time ever ordering from there.... I was excited to get my order and instead while I'm eating I get a sharp cut in my mouth by a metal fragment that was in my food. When I called to address the situation, they literally just glossed over it and tried to take my order. I asked to speak to a manager and they gave me the run around, saying he was there and not there. This was appalling and literally no one should have to be scared of food when they order take out. The portions are inconsistent. Between the taco bowl, bowl and burrito, the bowl was the skimpiest. The burrito was massive and the taco shell bowl was right on for the price. Fresh ingredients. I can tell you right off the rip that district taco and chipotle are better because you get more food, more consistently and tender, flavorful chicken.
