The Host is Ok when welcoming you in after your waiting for like 10mins to be seated! The older waitress Lady Gives off a bad vibe. As we (2-adults were ordering) the other TABLES were upset and pissed due to their food coming real LATE or not at all! The ask the Older Waitress Lady and bout their food coming and she would just act as if she did not hear them... they got up and left! They didn't get any food or drinks so they left after they were waiting for over 1 hour and 38 minutes. The old guy said and walked out. I don't even know where to begin! We have been to all the other Jalapeños in the area but not this one and I am so Happy we made it our lunch spot for today!! Greater by the sweetest hostess who also was our waitress and I have never felt so welcomed! We have a doggo with us so got seated on the new patio which is just an amazing space! She anticipated our needs and just was the best! Hubs got a house margarita and I got the mucho mango and oh my were they delicious and hit the spot on a warm day! Hubs got the carne Asada which he shared with our little and I had to sneak some bites of steak because it was just that good!!! I wasn't as hungry so ordered the mini burritos off the appetizer, and I may have found my new favorite thing!!! Really can't say enough good things! read more

Great family restaurant open on Xmas eve. We were on a road trip from Vancouver to Seattle and changed on this family restaurant. We had the best classic margaritas, and fajitas mix of steak and chicken. My kids had pork tacos and carne asada burrito. Both cleaned their plates. Highly recommended if you are local to Bellingham. read more

Jalapeños is my favorite mexican restaurant in Bellingham. The staff is always super friendly and helpful with menu suggestions. The chips and salsa are always fresh. And the food is always delicious . It is especially fun to come here for your birthday. Not only will they sing to you but you get to wear a sombrero while they sing!!! read more

Had been here before by myself for some nachos. Then recently I came again with a large group. The service was quite slow both times. Then more large groups started coming in and by then our waiter was forgetting our drinks and sides. The red salsa and carne asada is on point though so I'll give them that. read more

I've been to the other Jalapeños restaurants and they were ok. This one gets good marks for cleanliness and friendly service. We had a couple happy hour lime margaritas. They were a bit too strong for my taste but then I'm a lightweight and at $6 I guess they are worth the price. We tried the queso appetizer and found it very tasty- molten cheesy goodness. My entree was the Chile Relleno, it was a bit different from the usual relleno in that it comes butterflied and topped with your choice of filling (I chose cheese of course but you could have chicken, beef or pork if you like) and then dipped in egg and fried and finished with red sauce. It was delicious and totally seedless (I detest seeds in my Chile Relleno and judge restaurants by how they treat this simple dish). The sides of beans and rice were unremarkable. The other dish we tried was the Pollo Asado, simple grilled chicken served on a bed of grilled onion and topped with lemon and tomato. The chicken was juicy and flavorful. I think this is a very good dish if you want a healthier meal. We will be back. read more

Always have a good time at this jalapeños! We had Victoryia as our server ( I took a picture of the name just so I could write this that's how awesome she was) she had us and the two other booths on either side of us. Both of her other tables were absolutely rude and entitled people and completely picked her apart because they are unhappy and lonely people. She was nothing but kind and quick with our food and after talking to her like an actual human being, because that is what your severs are if anyone has forgotten, she was having that all day, but she handled both with grace and poise. You can tell she is a hard worker and very professional. Her service was excellent give her a raise! If you go in ask for her you won't be disappointed! read more

Service was just fine for the restaurant, the food is severely lacking. I went in there, hoping for a good seafood enchilada, and it is definitely not up to par with what I had at my favorite location in Lynden. Will not be returning, we love Mexican food and this could have been so much better. First off I will say the waitress was very nice and attentive. But it was also hard not to be when there are only two tables with customers. Why? Is it because it shares a parking lot with a questionable massage business? Or other reasons? Anyway had an $11 margarita which was on special and I was quick to understand why there was the option to upgrade to premium( read drinkable) tequila. And the bar mix for the lime margarita was not right. I've had better chips but they were passable as was the salsa. This is " free" but not really when u see the. Menu prices. The platters when they came although only combos were huge to us even though they were supposed to be smaller. Good refried beans, rice, guacamole, lettuce and sour cream. The problem was the burritos. I did not realize they were wet burritos which I don't like and topped with cheese. The veggie burrito seems to have onions and cheap yellow squash in it and not much else. No investment in nice veggies. And the the shrimp burrito was a horror. I read in a review of another location that they used cocktail shrimp but these shrimp,were so small they were more like shrimp shaped parasites you might find on a regular shrimp. They were actually the size of my finder nail and I been upcharged for shrimp too. I have never seem shrimp that small in my life. They were watery tasted fishy and made the burrito seep out water when u cut it. There was no sauce or flavour added to the shrimp and nothing else it seemed inside then burrito I hate two bites and left the rest. When the bill came I noticed another charge a 3% kitchen charge. Isn't that part of what you provide when I come a to a restaurant- a kitchen? It's not like I have an option to bring my own food like I do bags at the grocery store. Weird. Don't waste your time & money here. What a disappointment. We stopped in for dinner and will not return. The Cadillac Margarita was $21.00! It was a normal Margarita & not worth 1/2 the money. We had the Halibut Tacos $24.00 & the Chipotle Enchiladas $18.00. I asked for Carnitas in one enchilada which as a $2 upcharge without notice. They added a kitchen charge that couldn't be explained. They need to stop this needless up charge which is basically robbery. We were told this fee was implemented during Covid and never removed. They just keep adding this charge to everyone's bills. Another needless charge. This is really bad for business. BIG Bummer. read more
