Will not be ordering from here again. Recently moved down here from Upstate NY so my expectations of Mexican food here are very high. I ordered a torta de barbacoa and it tastes like TUNA. Horribly seasoned .The meat was super cold and I know it wasn't my Uber drivers fault because he delivered before the scheduled time and was waiting there for a while. I asked for hot sauce / peppers on the side and the salsa was not spicy at all and tasted bland. Ordered the horchata and it tasted so watered down. The one in the mall tastes better. Wayyyyyy better. I'm one to always finish my food but I even at my hungriest I couldn't manage to eat this horrific sandwich. The best part of my meal was the ketchup that came with the fries. My stomach Is literally uneasy rn. Anyways DONT ORDER FROM HERE. EVER. Food is cold , gross and shouldn't be labeled as Mexican food. It's Nasty. read more

If you read a review for an establishment by "Malaise", then just ignore it, seems as if she hates Odessa so much that she rags on every business. How abut you just stay away from Odessa? Jalisco's is a great Mexican food restaurant. AS SOMEONE WITH A RICH MEXICAN HERITAGE, I know what mexican food should taste like. If you go to a crappy restaurant in Mexico, is THAT how real mexican food should taste? NO. So let me continue, the food is great, and it's a nice family dining restaurant. Tiny wife and I just ate here and the service was great but, the food was horrible. She got the fajitas trio, the shrimp was chewy the rice was over cooked. My food was garbage. And on top of that my 5 year old daughter needed to go use the rest room and said that she would just wait till she got home cause the restroom was covered in poop. Would not go back read more

En éste caso, Jalisco se rajó. To be fair, this place is just as bad as any Mexican restaurant I have ever been to in Odessa. Ok, maybe a little worse but they are all pretty sucky. Don't let the large Mexican population fool you. Having lived in Mexico I know this is not what Mexican food is about (notwithstanding claims in the menu) Being a vegetarian (and pseudo-vegan) before ordering anything I asked if there was any animal ingredient in the rice or beans. I was assured there was not. after having both I know for a fact there wasn't because they both tasted as what I imagine eating cardboard would taste like. I would've added salt but the side of guac I ordered was so incredibly salty I was afraid I might get a coronary on the spot. I did eat all out of desperation. Every time I go to Odessa I feel like my weight goes down precipitously. Too bad I'm not trying to lose any. My Mother-in-Law ordered one beef taco. Somehow she heroically ate it but it lookEd so disgusting I don't know how she managed. With every bite she took you could see WATER falling out the other end. WTH??? Nasty. My Father-in-Law could not really eat the taco he ordered but managed to put away the cheese "enchilada" which was a small tortilla wrapped around some orange colored gooey substance. The coup de grâce was the Tacos al Pastor ordered by my husband. Traditionally, these are supposed to be pork. They were no meat we could identify. He tried one bite and simply could not eat it which is pretty amazing as I have seen him eat some pretty unpalatable dishes (I confess, some have been cooked by yours truly). He got a to go container to take it to my in-laws' dogs as canines are known to perform cannibalism. I think this was the last drop for me. Never again will I try Mexican in Odessa. read more

Being a meat loving, red blooded South Texan gringo, I knew this restaurant deserved more than 1 star. If you want vegan Mexican food, you are delusional. Furthermore, if you expect vegan Mexican food in Texas, it just shows how delusional and how much of left winged liberal you truly are. If you want Tex-Mex Mexican food, this place will not disappoint. I ordered 6 breakfast tacos for the family and they were amazing. The tortillas are homemade and the beans had a rich smokey flavor to them. I can't wait to return for dinner and try the dinner items. read more

The meat from the shredded beef burrito was older than Cheeto Trump's presidency, absolutely no seasoning. The beans were extremely burned. Now I can see why it was ghost town up in that joint. In conclusion this restaurant is just occupying space. read more

This place is pretty good. I grew up mostly in El Paso and it's the closest food to what I am use to eating. The only reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is because they allow smoking and I do not like people smoking around me when I'm eating. read more

First time to eat here. Friendly staff. Food is authentic Jalisco style. Super prices and huge quantity. Loved it!

Very good breakast omelet. Fresh and generous portion. Homemade tortillas. Our waitress Tereza was great.

Worst Mexican place I've ever ate at. I was really hoping to get some good Mexican food here but I was very disappointed, I had the combination nachos with beef fajitas and chicken fajitas both meats were spoiled! Even if the meats were not spoiled the nachos would have not been very good. My husband had the menudo and he was not happy with his bowl it was bland and the meat was way over cooked. Was there today 6-10 . About as bad as you can get . Enchiladas tasted like vinegar taco was tasteless and had a funny flavor .beer was about room temperature. Service was ok . Left more than half on the plate . $15.00 was a cheap lesson not to go back . read more

Do not go to the Jaliscos in Odessa on Grandview Ave. It took them an HOUR and half to make a simple breakfast burrito. I order it for take out and the waitress was taking other peoples order over mine probably because she wasn't expecting me to tip, that's fine. So after a 30 minute wait at my table i finally went up to the bar and the bartender said he'd have it right out...An hour later! Horrible service especially when there was only 12 people in the dang restaurant. Got back home and hoped that they better be the best damn breakfast burritos on the planet, and found out that I could've went to HEB sat in the long ass grocery line, bought eggs, bacon, etc. went home cooked it myself and not have to write this review in the time it took me to get my food. If anyone gives this place 2 stars and above, may god have mercy on your soul. read more
