Yeah they do deserve another 5 star review. Really one of the best breakfast "spots" I've ever been to. Creative takes on virtually every dish on the menu. How does one do that? All made from scratch even the English muffins, toast and of course their amazing "jams". Fantastic service all around. Fast food to table considering it was packed on a saturday at noon. Kudos for a very efficient staff and for sure do add your name to the wait list by calling before you get there to reduce your wait time. But worth every minute of the wait. Everything we ate was just "amazing". Benedicts was spot on and the wife who is fussy hollandaise eater gave it all two thumbs way up... Ham and cheese omelet with grilled ham and topped with their excellent hollandaise was the icing on the cake so to speak. ,hash browns fresh and crispy and home fries also a winner., jam crepe ( really a desert thing but awesome), cinnamon roll - no icing but the buttery Carmel sauce let it shine ohh so good and even the fresh orange juice was sweet (many places are rindy and bitter). And they even make their own ketchup. Talk about keeping the kitchen cranking! And while not the heinz thing, it was really good and elevated it all as you gotta have ketchup on your potatoes!. Two things I would love to see them do. While your house made country bread is great it is still a white bread kind of thing. Your fantastic house made jams cry out for a great whole grain ( healthier) style bread/toast with a nice dense crust as an option. Do your jam a favor. My mom has celiac and was happy to see an option that had great GF options! * The staff were some of the friendliest I've experienced in a while. Patient, helpful and fast * Everything my family ordered was good: The cheesesteak and Cubano sandwiches were delicious. Awesome bread and tasty meat. The side salad had some of the most flavorful tomatoes. The ketchup was unique and delicious, house made. The strawberry balsamic jam with the traditional breakfast was also very good. Great breakfast! In an old store(?) in downtown Bozeman the ambiance is bustling but laid back. The menu can be a bit intimidating as their offerings are unique. I chose the Beet Hash with basted eggs and goat cheese. DD had the crab cakes Benedict, grandson went with a pulled pork omelette. Mom, who was overwhelmed with all the choices had two eggs, hash browns and toast. All of the food was great. The orange juice was fresher squeezed and we ordered a cinnamon roll to go (also stellar). It was pricey as our total was $104 before a tip. I'd love to try their lunch one day. There was a bit of a weight as we arrived slightly after 9 PM. The hostess advised us there would be a 10 minute wait and we sat inside. The hostess was correct and we were immediately seated. The waitress approached us quickly and asked if we wanted anything to drink. I ordered a double espresso and my companion ordered a latte. The coffee drinks arrived fairly fast and we ordered breakfast. I ordered the crabcake eggs Benedict while my companion ordered the vegetable omelette. Interestingly, the menu indicates that you can mix and match your eggs Benedict. The restaurant was full, but not overly crowded. The service was incredibly fast and our food arrived within minutes of our order. The hashbrowns were crispy and the eggs Benedict was delicious. My companions omelette was light and fluffy and full of vegetables. The huckleberry jam accompaniment was tart and flavorful. Was not feeling the Jam today. We came because of the good reviews, but left not disappointed, but probably would not return Pros: clean, friendly staff and beautifully plated food. We did order a side of hasbrowns, and they came out hot and crispy. I regretted not ordering the loaded hashbrowns after I got our other food. Cons: we got the choose 3 egg Benedicts. First, the knife would not cut through any of the bread... and it was not just my knife. My husband's was not worthy either. If you're going to serve chewy or tough breads, at least give us a sharp knife. Basic Benedict was not too bad flavor wise. It did need to be jazzed up with some hot sauce. The English muffin could not be cut through, and the egg not runny - well done. The crab Benny - flavor of the crab patty - was good tasted like a crab cake. The issue was the bread and again over cooked poached egg. The chicken and biscuit - chicken I thought was going to be overcooked, and I was wrong. It was a thin piece but hot and juicy on the inside, and it was well seasoned. The egg once again overcooked. The cornbread that this sat on was very dense and hard to cut through. If you could get passed that it was way to thick you might be surprised it tasted of a corn and bacon southern cornbread - just execution and serving size and once again 3 for 3 on the overcooked eggs. Bummer that our one meal in Bozman ended up being forgettable. The house made ketchup - pass. I appreciate the idea of something fresh and not overprocessed, but it just tasted of watery tomato and my guess worcestershire sauce. The waitress was as nice as could be, so that did make things better. A cup of black coffee should never be $4. Total bill $32, considering I ate a bite of everything and that was it consider it $32 for 1 person to have breakfast. They did have some other items, ok the menu that sounded pretty good, like pancakes and crepes. read more

We were excited to come here but we were not impressed. Service was good and the interior is nice but the food was overpriced and just okay. There were 10 of us and we all got something different all tried each and not a single thing stuck out. We all barely ate what we had and took most of it home and never ate the leftovers. So after hearing all of the hype about this place, I decided to give it a try in my own and I am glad that I did!!! I called in to let the staff know that I would be arriving within the next 2hrs with a party of 1! I was greeted by a friendly hostess and seated promptly. I decided to order the banana's foster pancakes and the shredded hash browns!!! Both items were genuinely calling my name! The banana's foster pancakes came with 1 large pancake (which is pretty filling) and man oh man were they delicious!!! The caramel coupled with the banana's foster and the caramel butter + powdered sugar was all that and so much more!!! The shredded hash browns were fried to perfection, and I jazzed them up with some hot sauce! This meal did not disappoint! It was very savory, tasty, and filling! I also like the atmosphere of this restaurant! It is upbeat! I met someone from Texas and we had a great conversation! They also were stoked to try out some pancakes after seeing my meal! We chose this place because of the high Yelp ratings but the food choices on the menu did not appeal to me much and a tad pricey ($7 for a small glass of that OJ). I was totally surprised when we came here because I had just been to a similar kind of breakfast brunch lunch place in Portland with the same name and also with a lowercase "j" in their logo, but I learned that they had nothing to do with each other and it wasn't part of a chain or anything so that was a funny coincidence. The service was only OK but to be fair our waiter told us that it was his first or second day or something, so he was just learning. They were quite busy so I'm sure he'll get better soon. Overall, it's a trendy place and kind of exactly what you expect when you go to a similar place like that so if you're looking for that kind of brunchy vibes, breakfast for lunch etc. the jam is great! This place was packed for a Thursday morning. I called ahead got on the waitlist. We only had to wait for about 10 mins for a party of 3. I got the the biscuits and gravy and is we really good. They don't give you much gravy tho. When I ordered more they gave me a little bit more in a very small little thimble looking thing. I was surprised that they did not give me hardly any hash browns either. But I do have to say that the food tasted delicious. I just wish they gave you more of it for the price that I paid. Overall, the service was really good and the good delicious. If you are starving and like a big breakfast this is probably not the place to go. Found this place on TripAdvisor. Parking is not friendly as it is downtown. Had to walk three blocks in a light snow. We waited 15 minutes for a table. Tried calling ahead, but were told it would not be necessary as there was no wait. Of course they were wrong. By the time we got here there was a wait. The wait gave us time to look over the menu. Lots of crapes, pancakes, and burrito breakfasts. Menu was simple, well explained, and looks delicious. The barbecued pork omelette is divine! The egg is as thick as a pancake. They wrap it around a large portion of shredded barbecued pork. They top it off with diced red onions, tomatoes, jalapeño, and a nice cojita cheese and cremera to give it a nice finish. The potatoes are a mix of white purple and sweet potatoes. They are simple, but have great flavor. You get a small piece of toast on the side although it is only a half slice. They offer you your choice of strawberry , grape or huckleberry jam. The huckleberry has many berries in the jam. The jam is delicious. However, beware, there is a charge of two dollars for huckleberry jam. The bread is a mixture of half sourdough, half wheat. Very good. The food is excellent. Wish I could try their pancakes, crêpes, and eggs Benedict. They all look delicious. The interior of the restaurant is modern. Great mural on the far wall. The chairs are orange plastic with black tables. In the middle of the restaurant, you will see a few higher top booth seating. There are two unisex restrooms in the back of the restaurant. They are single room only. Always had a wait, but I guess that is to be expected since they are always busy at this restaurant. I would most definitely come back to this restaurant if I were in town. A little frustrated, the place is called Jam, so I expected to have amazing jam as well as toast. They charged me an extra $2 for a tablespoon of huckleberry jam and quarter piece of toast. The bartender did give me some extra toast but come on this ridiculous and if your going to call yourself Jam give me Jam!!! Charging me extra for a thimbal of jam is a rip off. At the time we visited, I purchased six jars of the huckleberry jam to take home to California. They were gifts. People opened them and the jam was molded! Oh my God, I was so freaked out and so embarrassed. Super bummed out by that and it wasn't cheap. Nothing to do because I live in California! Couldn't even take it back. If you are buying it for yourself, open it up before you leave. I wouldn't suggest getting more than what you can open up to use in the next week or so. Definitely not an item for a gift gift. The wait was about 35 mins and there is not much of a waiting area which is bad news in -6°. I was seated at the counter near the kitchen area which I actually enjoyed because I saw the food being prepped and it looked great. The food was superb and totally worth the wait!! I literally ate every bit of food on my plate. The Golden Potion Latte was very oddly spicy but we I told the waitress and she said that a lot of people don't like the spice so she gladly took it back and let me order something else. Sigh. I'm a local so have been eating at Jam since they opened. That's several years now and I can tell you one thing, the food hasn't changed. Now, you may say that's a good thing- consistency amiright? Here's the downside of that though, the food is BORING. Menu pretty much the same, food generally under seasoned, not even any amazing specials to be had. Just meh. I ate there last month, after they re-opened post renovation and breakfast for 2 was $70!!! Yes, correct, SEVENTY hard earned American dollars.
