I first experienced Jam Hot Chicken at one of the Yelp events at the Science Center and fell in love with their food then. When we recently visited Plant Street Market, it was a joyous surprise to see that Jam Hot Chicken has taken over Hunger Street Tacos. Don't get me wrong, I loved Hunger Street Tacos, and I would have preferred both to be there but Jam Hot Chicken is a soldi replacement! They are fantastic. Again, this spot is inside Plant Street Market, it is small but they offer their entire menu which is rather large. They do specialize in fried chicken, spicy fried chicken. For this location, there is no seating at the restaurant, however, Plant Street is a large market with vendors inside, and there are tons of seating inside. Order your food, and go and grab a table. My wife and I went on Friday after work and wanted to get some different food and some beers. We decided to share everything so we could try more. It has been a little bit since we visited Plant Street. For Jam Hot we decided on the "the BOX" for $18 which is seasoned loaded fries, the fries are topped with chopped up chicken tenders, slaw, pickles, and comeback sauce. Their comeback sauce is their own creation, and not really sure what is actually in it, but it was good, really all that matters. The Box was so good! It was also very large, it honestly would have been a lot of food for one person. My wife is not as big of a fan of spicy as I am so we went mild and to be honest, she said it was spicy for her. She had to stop eating it since her mouth was on fire. So for the mild to be that spicy, wow! I thought it was fine, it had a slight kick but it was not spicy to me, but again, I love spicy foods! Their sauce goes from plain, mild, hot, hotter, and JAM! Overall great spot. I saw many people walking by with chicken tenders that were so large, they were piled over their containers. Their sauce goes from plain, mild, hot, hotter, and JAM! I literally cannot even imagine how spicy the JAM would have been. Overall this is a great spot. I am so incredibly happy they moved into Plant Street. So much closer to our home now. They are tasty and delicious. Fries are hot and crispy - get the cheese sauce with them. Tried the Vinny slaw... think that's the name... it was too vinegary for my wife, but I liked it.... There is a different one that is more on the mayonnaise side... will try that one next time. The Tenders were hot, fresh, big and delicious. I tried Jam Hot Chicken at the annual Yelp event at the Orlando Science Center. They just opened this kiosk location recently inside the Plant St Market at Crooked Can in Winter Garden. I now had no excuse, distance-wise, to try them out. The chicken was just as I remembered it, crispy exterior and tender in the inside. It is very flavorful. What's really nice is that you can dial in the heat based on your preference. Since this was actually for my son to eat, he went with Mild. He commented that it was the best chicken tenders he has ever had and I have to agree. I've had so many bland tenders over the years that must be eaten with sauce to taste good. These tenders do not need the sauce. Don't get me wrong though, I still love the sauce and would still dip them. I'm not sure if they have online ordering but it was easy to order with no long lines. The menu is pretty simple. They only downside is that the prices are high for just tenders with no sides but, on the flipside, they are very meaty pieces. I'm so happy Jam Hot Chicken opened their second location inside Plant Street Market! I was in the Winter Garden area yesterday and stopped in to check it out. It wasn't too busy following Thanksgiving and the service was quick. I grabbed The Sando which is my usual go-to. Same great quality and massive size (it's big enough for me & my husband to share). I like a good amount of heat, but even the mild packs a punch and is enough for me. If you're a newbie, don't underestimate their spice levels! Paired perfectly with a beer from Cooked Can, oysters from Bruno's next door, and gorgeous weather... can't beat it! read more

My favorite chicken spot in all of Orlando now has a Plant St Market location! My jaw almost hit the floor when I found out this was happening. I love Jam Hot Chiken as they simply have high quality chicken meat with the hottest, most flavorful spices. In a way, it will ruin you for any other restaurant that says they sell Nashville hot chicken sandwiches because they are just that good. I personally like getting a tenders box because you receive 2 gigantic tenders with fries and pickles on the side with comeback sauce. This location is great because you can easily get it to go if needed. Just keep in mind that since they make everything fresh, it will probably be about 15 minutes until your order is ready. If you want to eat at the market, it is also very enjoyable as you can relax and have a fresh beer from Crooked Can. How convenient! read more

Big big fan! First tried this chicken at a Yelp Elite event and was super excited when they announced they'd be opening a location in downtown winter garden. I've eaten here a few times now and love everything I've tasted. Their fries are amazing, they may have my favorite ranch dressing in DTWG, and the chicken is always delicious. Staff is super nice and they crank out orders like nobody's business, even on hyper busy Saturdays. Grab your order and sit outside on the Crooked Can patio, listening to live music or play some trivia (I think they still do this on certain weeknights?). As avid fans of the former Fat Mike's Hot Chicken in Winter Garden, we were excited to try Jam Hot Chicken at the Plant Street Market to satisfy our craving for Nashville hot chicken locally. It was good, but not up to what we had seen in the reviews. Service was okay. We placed our order to go and were told it would be a fifteen minute wait. It is a cashless establishment (which I disagree with on principle, but given the space limitations in the Plant Street Market, I understand), and a tip screen came up at the end of the transaction. I gave one because I thought they would pack our order to go with care, but I find it rather tactless to put customers through this for food purchased at a counter-service establishment. You are already paying for the food, and you are serving yourself--they aren't delivering it to your table or cleaning up afterward. We provided a phone number for them to text when our order was ready. We walked the market for the fifteen minutes, and when the order was ready, it was simply sitting in a cardboard tray on the counter with our receipt attached, not packed to go. When I reminded the worker our order was to go, the tray was simply popped into a bag and handed to us. No lid for warmth, no napkins, just a bag. Chicken was tasty, and the sauce (Comeback) was meh. We tried both the mild and hot tenders and liked the seasonings used but found the chicken a little too greasy. Pickles were delicious!
