But had we known this was the same thing we can get at The General Store or HWY 41, we probably would have skipped it. That part behind us, the shoppe is charming and the grounds are lovely. My rating is not based on our personal experience (my wife and I agree we probably would give it 3 stars), but honestly, if you're a parent with young children and you want to take them for ice cream, this would be a lovely place to do it. Also, if you come later in the season when the gardens are at full growth, there's a wi derail learning opportunity here as well. So the ice cream experience wasn't the greatest for us...but the grounds, the friendly service, and the delightful setting ultimately made the whole experience quite wonderful.

I will say that was the BEST cake I have ever eaten and I didn't even know if I liked fig!! (Loved it so much went back the next day and ordered 2 of them) His banana split he got chocolate, vanilla and they were out of strawberry so he got cherry with hot fudge and nuts and whipped cream on top!! I personally love their dirt cups and even though it's technically on the kid's menu section, they make an adult size for me. The staff are always very friendly and quick.
