My sister had a 3.5 hour layover at DFW so I picked her up & we went to this cute spot near the airport. Open & airy, we waited about 10 minutes for a table on a Sunday morning. I ordered the Berry Bliss Waffles with a side of bacon. A huge but light waffle topped with blueberries, strawberries, blackberries & mascarpone. It was good and not too sweet but my waffle wasn't hot. My sister enjoyed her Chicken Fried Steak topped with gravy which came with scrambled eggs, fruit & two biscuits. J&T was impressive. It is a small, clean place, so Saturdays expect some wait time. It was a 20-30 minute wait until we decided to sit outside. So just 20 minutes. We ordered. I have the meat omelette and wife had the meat skillet . She loved hers. I really enjoyed mine as well. The amazement was how fast the food came. It was there in about five minutes. While visiting Dallas I had to get a place that served great breakfast plus I wanted to treat myself for my birthday back in September. It is on a corner of a shopping center and full of windows so no matter where you sit you get lots of sun light and the kitchen is open for you to look in. I ordered the Tex Mex Skillet and Banana Nutella French toast. My eyes were definitely bigger than my stomach. I put some hot sauce on my skillet and I almost ate it all every bite had a little spice and was seasoned very well. Omg the French toast was so delicious I could have ate two servings lol. I remember going to Jam + Toast when it was brand new. And it was great. The owner was always there. Things were clean and vibrant. Haven't been in a few years. Went this am w the fam and while the food was good, the rest was not. Our orders came out at different times. I was finished with my breakfast before my wife got hers. I really like this restaurant. The service is great and the food is good. I went to lunch yesterday and ordered a BLT and french fries. The french fries were so crispy and a great portion size. The BLT had really good tomato and lettuce, but really skimmed on bacon. I think there were just two little pieces so I basically got a vegetable sandwich That was really good. And then they remind me that they don't salt their food. I find it strange to not salt eggs and omelettes. The salt needs to be IN the omelette not ON it... Salting an omelette after it's cooked and on a plate is just weird to me. I love the parfait bowl however, and I've enjoyed the crepes, and the French toast. The waitress/hostess asked would we like to be seated separately in order to get seated faster which we thought was a little odd but understood she was trying to get us seated to eat.The hostess/waitress was nice enough to come back and keep us updated on the status of us being seated which we appreciated. We finally got seated and our order did come out pretty quickly which was amazing because we were starving by the time we got seated. The food was good and hot. After church we wanted to try something different and saw on Yelp this place had a solid 4 star reviews. We arrived around 1235p to a packed place and didn't have to wait long at all- maybe a few mins while they cleaned a table. This time we figured since it's 10:30am that maybe we would get lucky and the wait wouldn't be long but it still took about 25 min. I was ok with that since I assumed it meant the food is really good. Our server was very sweet. The only problem was everyone around us got their food either before us or right away.
