RUNNNNNN Misleading information and terrible pricing - over charged once your suckered in Update now only 1 available bathroom on the facility!!! Its been like this for over 3 weeks. What are they doing w/the business revenue where they cant offer bathrooms!!! Also there are some new occupants i just noticed called cockroaches!!!! Im stuck here for now but asap ill be relocating. This is terrible Cheap, one bathroom hasnt been repaired for a year but they'll invest in renovating their front office and next closest bathroom, which is far, always smells like fish & one time there was a mattress in there for days Terrible access hours specifically evenings and weekends It is nice from the exterior but once you are in you feel like you are in the movie Texas chainsaw massacre & expecting someone whose probably living in one of the storages to kill you at any time Ace storage close by is offering great deals , they are honest & nice facility but its driveway is right off the road but they have integrity & dont just switch prices etc Im in the process of relocating from the facility & wish someone wouldve w read more

I was in dire need of a quality storage place. I couldn't find any in my area so I had to result to my an old faithful location. Which was Jamacha self point storage I had stored here exactly 5 years ago for 3 years or so. Always clean and nice service so I'm back!!!! Denise helped me get into my unit swiftly as I was in a rush and had to be at work in a certain time. She got me in helped with a promo and I received a free lock! I would recommend if you're in all of San Diego! I live in Santee and gladly passed all the nearby storage areas to come back here! That's how worth it, it is! The place for the most part is kept very tidy. My only concern is when other renters block the isle way with their boxes and pallet mover. But I would recommend to family and friends !! read more

I had 2 units with Jamacha Point for over 2 years. They give a military discount, they email your receipts, they also print out and sign a physical receipt. They always have water and candy... They are super friendly and helpful. Never had any issues. Clean, not smelly, no issues with rats or bugs. I can't remember if it was air conditioned or not, but we never had an issue with heat. The units are well lit. They have a platform truck in each elevator that you can borrow, just ask for the key in the front office.. It's super helpful! I think it could use some Wd-40 though because it squeaks. My only complaint is the hours. It would be great if Jamacha Point had longer access hours.. However, with the current hours it is safe and still manageable for most people. I can only think of 1 time (in 2+ years) that I actually needed to access my unit at 2am... Lol. Yes I would recommend. Also, check out the Mardi Gras restaurant across the street if you're in the area! read more

Oh my gosh I am so glad to be out of here! I've had multiple storage units for years, and this is my worst experience with a location Initially it seemed like a good deal (that was temporary and the price doubled a few months later), large drive-up space, and clean. They offer free bottles of water and Keurig Coffee, so that's nice (though someone needs to keep the coffee stocked and the toilet paper in the office bathroom stocked. And if free candy is a selling point, the jar shouldn't be empty like it has been for the last several times I've been in the office). But one of the major drawbacks here is that they close super early, so if you work bankers hours, like most people, there's not much time to access your unit on weekdays. Other locations stay open even after the office closes (some until 8pm, and others even 10pm. This place closes at 6pm and if you're lucky you might have until 6:30 before the employee leaves. On Sunday it closes at 4pm! FOUR!). Other locations have light fixtures with switches inside the units that either don't turn off until you turn them off, or have an hour timer. This place has a box several feet away that only keeps the lights on somewhere around 15 minutes. I had to constantly keep going back to turn the light back on. There is also no trash bin, only a bin for recycling cardboard. There is going to be trash, even if it's just what you sweep out when you exit. It's absurd not to provide a dumpster. But, Heaven help you if you're late making payments. This place is so shady. I got behind on my payments, and when I wanted to catch up, they would not allow me to pay over the phone. Cash or cashier's check in person only. When debit is basically cash, that makes zero sense. They made everything far more difficult than it needed to be. My unit at one point was so overdue that it was in danger of going to auction. They were secretive about the auction date (they actually didn't tell me my unit was up for auction. I had to look up auctions in Spring Valley to find the sale), and wouldn't work with me to resolve this (I was being paid in a couple days but they cut the lock anyway)--which makes no sense, because the auction sale was bound to be less than I owed. The fees are absurd. They charge a couple hundred to cut your lock off, then more to advertise the auction, plus even more lien fees. Then, after you've paid up, they make you buy a new lock, which you return when you check out. Way way way more fees and higher fees than elsewhere. I wish I had been able to leave a long time ago. Do yourself a favor and use Rancho San Diego Self Storage up the street on Austin. They're kind, they're understanding, and it's a much much better facility. They're also a small family business. They're honest, upfront, and just good people over there. read more
