Sometimes you just don't take other people's reviews to heart and go find out yourself. That's exactly what I did in this case. I called and spoke to a very nice young lady that let me know curry goat was available. I dropped by shortly after with my friend and we split an entree. I was happy to have the pigeon (gungoo) pea rice and peas. The usual side of cabbage every Jamaican establishment serves though we culturally eat way more than just cabbage. There are a host of D&G drinks in stock, even the more rare pink grapefruit. Fried plantains were generous for the order and done just right. And my friend also tried a coco bread to help with the spice level. I was more than pleased with the serving size and flavor. It's not my mom's goat but I still had no complaints. I will definitely be suppottive of this business when I'm in town again. There's more than enough outdoor space to enjoy your meal and they are super nice in everything they do from taking your order to bringing it out after a short wait. read more

In a small town not known for its culinary delights, this place may change that perception of this town. This was truly, in every sense of the word, a culinary DELIGHT! I have eaten a lot of Jamaican food (including in Jamaica), and this is about as good as it gets - stateside or in Jamaica. The food is authentic in its flavor and exceeded all expectations of spice blends and seasonings. The jerked chicken was spicy and full of flavor - juicy and fall off the bone good! The rice and gravy was equally as good, as were the Jamaican meat pies. All were made with obvious love and pride of country and for a moment, I was back in Jamaica (minus the cold Red Stripe in hand). The goat was also so tender and juicy and seasoned perfectly. This place was fantastic! Three of us came here for lunch on our way from Austin to Tulsa and it was the best stop on our trip. The jerk chicken was super flavorful and fall off the bone tender. The rice and cabbage that came with it was also so so good. We also got the plantains as a side and they were delicious, lightly salted, tender, and piping hot. I also recommend you try the sorrel drink if you have the opportunity, very tasty and refreshing. The kind gentleman working the front desk also waited on us and answered all of our questions and made us feel very welcome! It's a refreshing experience in comparison to most Jamaican restaurants being known for their rudeness. I drove 30 minutes to get here and it was well worth it! My mouth was watering the moment i stepped inside. My food was given to me piping hot and freshly made! I ordered the jerk chicken and goat curry. When i got home the jerk chicken was falling off its bones. Yum! The goat curry was to die for! Don't forget to try their Sorrel home made drink. The kicker is their plantains are perfection. Very small place and thelook of it is super outdated. I think they were going for a resort feel but even resorts don't look like that anymore. Prices are a bit high for the amount of food you get. I have been wanting to try this place for a while now and finally got a chance to go today. I called ahead to make sure they were opened, and the young lady offered to take my order so I placed my order and it was ready when we arrived. I got the ox tails and they were tender but the Jamaican flavor I was expecting (hoping for) was missing! The gravy was chalky and and tasted like chili or like it had lots of chili powder. The most authentic Jamaican cuisine I've ever had in Texas! If you have ever been to Jamaica or been to dinner at a Jamaican's home and loved it, you will absolutely love this place. The environment made me feel like I was back on the island, just missing the ocean breeze.
