This is the first time visiting Jamaican Summers Eatery with my roommate. Jamaican Summers is a Tiny restaurant in Burlington. You order your food at the counter and the lady is nice and friendly. All the food comes out in takeout containers. I ordered spicy curry chicken and beef patty and my roommate ordered curry goat and beef patty. No soda machine. Can soda and water bottle. It is little bit expensive but large portion of food. We decided to seat inside the tiny restaurant at one of three tables in the restaurant. I believe there are outdoor tables for sitting. My spicy curry chicken was very spicy and good. My roommate enjoyed his curry goat too.

Moved to Burleson about a year ago and saw this Jamaican restaurant and have wanted to try it since! As a child growing up in Louisiana my parents were friends with a husband and wife who owned a Jamaican restaurant with the BEST meat pies! Let me tell you the meat pies were amazing! Me and my partner also had the Ox tail and Jerk Chicken. The Ox tail was absolutely amazing & very tender. The Jerk Chicken was very tasty as well. We will definitely be back. Only con was the food is very expensive, but I guess that's just the times we live in.

I got some of these curry chicken and it is really good with the meat pot

Great authentic tasting Jamaican food. We had the curried goat, oxtails and jerk chicken. All was extremely tasteful.

Great food but very expensive. I would recommend if you are okay with the cost. Love Jamaican food.

My daughter has to get a patty every time we visit, and I never leave without one of their homemade juices. The owner is always friendly and welcoming whenever I see him, which keeps me coming back. The food is consistently worth the wait and worth every penny. Speaking of waits, service can be a little slow at times, so I recommend calling ahead or visiting when you're not in a rush. It makes the experience much more enjoyable. The only reason I'm giving a strong 4 stars instead of 5 is the customer service from some of the staff. While not everyone falls into this category, many of the employees can come across as a bit reserved. Once you engage with them, they're usually pleasant, but a few more smiles and a warmer atmosphere would really elevate the experience. I'd love to walk in one day and feel the vibrant, welcoming island energy reflected throughout the restaurant. That said, I'll definitely keep coming back for those wings!

Why ain't nobody tell me that the Trinis had the oxtail game on lock?…read more I've never had oxtail this tender in my life. It fell off the bone. You literally didn't even need teeth to eat these oxtails. The plate came with a lot of food too: A generous portion of oxtails of all different sizes: big ones, little ones, medium size.... But all of them were meaty and incredibly flavorful. It came with my choice of spinach or cabbage. I chose the cabbage, and it was delicious. It also came with rice and peas, two pieces of plantain, and macaroni and cheese. This was a big plate, full of food! But this is Texas, so I'm not surprised. I also wanted a little cocktail, so I asked the lady at the counter if the rum punch was strong. She gave me a slow nod and that should have prepared me, but ya girl was not ready. I got the blue rum punch, I think it was Caribbean breeze flavor. It tasted like it had coconut milk in it, but I couldn't make out the other ingredients. What I could make out was that rum. That rum was loud! And pronounced! I wanted a strong drink and I damn sure got it! How strong was it? Well...I'm not a lightweight but I barely got through a third of the cup. I was feeling it after the first few sips. If I drank that whole thing I knew I was either going to be swinging from the chandeliers or asleep in the middle of a crosswalk somewhere. That rum punch will creep up on you. Y'all better take it from me and sip slow. This is definitely one of the best meals I've had in Texas and, hands down, the best order of oxtails I have ever had.l!
