My husband would give this place 5 stars, and I give it about 3... So average=4. I'm not one for supporting the big chains a lot (neither is he, generally), but he LOVES their acai super antioxidant smoothie with whey protein and immunity boost. In fact, I ordered him that exact smoothie today! He never gets anything but that. I have used their coldbuster smoothie a few times during illness, and while I'm not sure it helps a ton, it does taste pretty good :). Staff are friendly, but sometimes the up-selling gets annoying (they always try to get you to buy a sandwich or something w/ your smoothie). Anyway, we'll be back over & over for his smoothie! Honestly, you really can't go wrong with most places in the Carmel Mountain area, and this Jamba Juice location is no different. You may have to wait a bit in line but they are very quick for the most part. My only grip is when I asked for the ingredients on one of their boosts, the cashier helping me one time yelled across the store to ask another associate when a ton of customers were waiting in line behind me. Pretty standard Jamba Juice, the layout, menu is the same, and the place is virtually spotless. The size of and some items on the menu have changed; but they've been replaced with just as yummy options: such as more food items, Fruit & Veggie smoothies and chia seeds! There's a crowd, and a little bit of a wait every now and then, but nothing too extreme or worth writing a scathing 1 star review, lol. I've been to many smoothie shops back when they were starting to become a trend. Im real glad that jamba juice didn't close down when the others did. Til this day I am still a fan of this place. They allow you to modify your smoothie at your request. I like trying new combinations so it works well for me. Service here has been pretty slow which finally compelled me to write a review. Also, I'm annoyed that they didn't honor their own promotion. Got a text saying $2 for any whole food smoothie....clicked the link to get the coupon and it was advertised as only their new green one. Asked the cashier, he said it was only the new one, and the system wouldn't allow him to do it, even though the text advertised it that way, so I ordered my regular whole food PB Chocolate Love at regular price. Two times I have ordered via mobile app in the last 3 months. Both times, I have entered the store after the recommended time frame and found that my (2) drinks were not ready. Not only this, but both times the workers ask each other if they know where my order is and, after realizing they weren't made, start making the order without saying a word to me. Both experiences were 25+ minutes to make two smoothies.... what's the point of ordering ahead?? Do better Natomas Jamba Juice. Every Jamba Juice is about the same. Layout, products and cleanliness. What makes this store stand out is their employees. I wanted to order a less sweet veggie/fruit smoothie. Alyssa was very good at helping me select one that even a 4 year old would drink. She was right about how the mangoes and passionfruit covered up the tastes of the veggies in the tropical smoothie. I wanted to split the smoothie into two cups to share. She was very understanding and did it with a smile on her face. Last night I went for a meal at a place which I had previously reviewed. Today I was super dehydrated and not from drinking alcohol. In fact I hadnt touched alcohol so I know they must have had too much salt in their food. Do I amend that review? Still to be decided... Anyway. I met a friend for coffee, except neither one of us drinks coffee so we ventured to Jamba Juice. The store was clean, the staff were super friendly and the service was speedy. I had a banana berry smoothy and also had a Parmesan sour dough pretzel. Both were fantastic and I felt right as rain after. Must have needed that fruit burst. Either I haven't gone to jamba in awhile or this store has jacked up their prices. The jamba in Mira Mesa the price for a sixteen is at 3.95. Hmmm...demographic inflation? I must investigate. But this jamba is very accommodating. Though their fruit coconut splashes are no longer on the menu, I asked if they still served it and they do! I was happy to have my watermelon coconut splash in my hand while everyone else has the menu smoothies. This place was quite busy they ran out of blueberries, but instead of telling customers they couldn't order any smoothie with blueberries in it, they personally asked the customer what fruit they would like to replace the blueberries with. Had not been to jamba in a while. I'm glad I stopped in! I was surprised that they have added green smoothies to their menu. Way reasonably priced (compared to my usual whole foods smoothies). They are open until 10, according to the hours on the door. Service was great! There was two friendly girls who were very patient and helpful. They were smiling and happy throughout, even though I made a lot of substitutions to my smoothie and pretty much created my own. It was post workout and I wanted to limit the sugar! I usually get my Jamba Juice in Mira Mesa or Mission Valley, but I was going shopping in the Carmel Mountain Center that day. I had bought 7 smoothies in the past and I could now get one free. I ordered a Aloha Pineapple. The service was quick. I sipped it, then let my mom try it. She said it tasted a bit off, like they used rotten fruit. I shrugged and we drove to the Michael's. I almost finished my smoothie when I sucked up a piece of who-knows-what that had the texture of mucus. O.o We drove back to Jamba Juice and had them make us a new one. It tasted totally different. This is my favorite Jamba location. I end up here 2 or 3 times a week. It's so addicting. I always get the Strawberry Surfrider, it's always pretty consistent. The sourdough parmesan pretzel is the BEST. It's so delicious heated up. $5 for most medium smoothies and $1.99 for most baked goods. Good customer service at this store. Worst treatment of customers by a local business. Terrible customer service, super rude people taking orders. Older woman and younger woman treated all of us like we were worthless individuals. When they made a mistake on our order ( and knew it was their error) they accused us of ordering the wrong thing! They wouldn't fix it unless we paid for a new one. Made us feel like we were liars. This location is pretty awesome! I stop by here quite often before work &the employees are ALWAYS friendly! When I say ALWAYS I really mean ALWAYS! Have been here 4 times now. I've seen it early morning, not crowded at all and lunchtime packed. I've come by myself and with a group of 5 people all ordering together. Anytime and any crowd, the staff here is friendly, fun and gets the job done quickly. Even at the most crowded times, I have been pleasantly surprised at how quickly they have my order ready. They are also always nice to point out the daily specials that may save you money on the same order in another size and/or an add on for a daily special price.
