Sidewalks ruined in the name of marketing. Shame. Wilshire and Yale in Santa Monica.

I really like the product, especially the matcha blast, and the service has been really awesome, too - but I'm shocked their marketing department would allow graffiti on our Santa Monica sidewalks. As if we don't have enough litter and homeless waste to deal with - now we have ugly graffiti as a marketing ploy? No way. I will not be supporting this business any longer.

Great place to cool off grab ice cold smoothie and other. Frozen treats like an igloo full of zombie Eskimos from the 3rd kind, kinda place or cyber Eskimos of the virtual kind.

Couldn't get a refund at all

I usually go here , today worst experience, smoothie was very watery and wasn't notified that pineapples were missing etc. Poor attention to detail , I couldn't receive a refund and will be contacting customer service/management .

Customer service here has never been top notch but the smoothies get made. Today I was greeted by a completely empty unlocked store. Not sure how long the shop has been sitting there falsely locked without staff. After waiting for a little, what I assume was the manager arrived. He welcomed me with a poor attitude about me being early after he left everything unlocked and unattended. Business wise - it doesn't seem super smart to have different Friday hours from the rest of the work week. Especially when you're the only one in town.

Jamba Juice now has part of their menu labeled as plant-based (all vegan smoothies!) even though every smoothie can technically be made vegan They also have the impossible handwich which is the impossible sausage with sprouted grain bun and white cheddar (take out the cheese to make it vegan) Place has a bathroom accessible with the key Only one (two seats) table Thanks Jamba!

The smoothie I got was really good I couldn't stop drinking it. If you're looking for a quick smoothie to get you going this is the place.

It's good -- and at that price point, with all that collagen and "good stuff," I'm hoping I walk out glowing. It tastes like a strawberry milkshake disguised as a wellness drink, and honestly, I get the hype. If it makes me look snatched, even better. Now, the store itself... this place is packed. The parking lot is chaotic with tiny spaces and valet -- very LA energy. Inside, the grocery store is small, compact, and filled with people. No dogs allowed inside but they are allowed on the outdoor patio. They have a clean bathroom in the back for customers. The smoothie/café line was long, but they text you when your drink is ready, which helps. While waiting, I wandered to the hot bar -- also overpriced, but honestly delicious with tons of options. Way better than any Barons, Whole Foods, or Lazy Acres hot bar I've tried. The store carries lots of unique brands and has a huge beauty/skincare/supplement section. There's even someone at the front greeting people and offering samples. Outside, there's a patio for eating. Overall, it's a cool experience -- definitely overpriced, but fun to check out at least once. And it's in a lovely area, which makes the stop even better.

I really enjoyed the beef kabob plate. The salad and tomatoes were super fresh and the meat was cooked and seasoned well. I was expecting to miss having rice, and I somewhat did, but it was still good. The half bowl of fruit was fantastic too, with a good selection and quantity. They tasted fresh and flavorful. Service was good, no complaints and attentive. The only complaint here is the price -- it's just a little much, but that probably is due to the area it is in. Enjoyed it, and would go back, but make sure I'm ready for the bill.

Server seemed put out when it was sent back. Hot matcha (delicious) took longer. Then waited a full 40 minutes for our food, while tables seated after us were getting theirs. Finally, eggs were put on the table cold. Sent them back. Server seemed even more put out. Took at least 10 more minutes for them to be set in front of me again. They were warm. The beans tossed on top of them were not. Bread and salad were boring. The soup was hot and tasty, though. That was the last we saw the server until we requested the check. That took another 10 minutes or so. We had parked right across the street. Coffee, soup and one plate of meh eggs later, we had 16 minutes left on the two-hour meter. Do the math on that quick lunch. A shame because the drinks can be amazing.

It's one of their popular items, I was looking forward to the mint, but wasn't what I expected. The chocolate one was okay. Had peanut butter, definitely overwhelming with the cinnamon. Unsure If it's worth the price. Parking was not the best and be mindful Santa Monica has parking police working 24/7. Saw a parking police roll around the block while I was waiting the whole 40 mins I was there! There's a small parking lot right next to the restaurant right down the driveway but only 2 spots!!! Definitely took longer than I thought. Small restaurant, a lot of people were waiting, felt a little squished. Only 3 workers and I can say about over 30 people came within the 40 mins I was there. So a lot of smoothies with only 3 people. I have a fear of bees, and they left the door open and honestly I saw 3 bees fly into the restaurant. Maybe it's normal with organic smoothies places and such, but still a little frightening to see those bees land on the mixers and tables they were using. Cute place, hard working employees, but the taste of the smoothies were just not up my alley. It only gets a 4 because it's not horrible. The employees are doing their best and the smoothies are okay, they're just not my type of smoothie. They need to hire more people because the wait is definitely not worth it!

When I finally got mine, it tasted almost entirely like almond butter, completely overpowering the other ingredients. I also have a food allergy, and instead of taking it seriously, the staff acted like my request was an inconvenience. That was frustrating and made me feel uncomfortable ordering, especially when allergies should always be handled with care. What was even more concerning was the cleanliness. There were bees everywhere--flying around the kitchen, landing on food, and even on the staff while they were preparing orders. It made the entire experience feel unsanitary, and after seeing that, it's not surprising their health inspection grade is a B. Between the excessive wait, overpriced smoothies, poor quality, the dismissive attitude toward food allergies, and the concerning sanitation issues, I won't be returning or recommending this place.

But everything is super fresh and they have every salad bar option you could ever possibly imagine plus some you might not -- like their special already made salads. My lessons learned after a few visits to the salad bar -- choose the smallest container possible (it will still cost LOL), don't come unless you want to wait in a line of hungry corporate business folks between 12-1 (I have seen the line go out the door) -- actually my advice is go early because later on everything is picked over (although the staff are really good about filing the salad bar items). Also everyone who works there is super friendly and super busy! It is kind of hard to find the location -- it is across the street from the Colorado Center tucked in the middle of another corporate park but I didn't catch the name of the corporate park. So ... This used to be my favorite spot for arepas, but after today's experience, I won't be coming back…read more I called ahead and clearly explained my order: three arepa orders, with one having the masa scooped out. I also specifically asked about the price and was told it would be $13 per order, consistent with what's listed online. However, when I arrived, I was told the orders would be charged separately, and the employee became visibly frustrated when I asked for clarification and requested that everything be grouped as discussed. What made the situation worse was the pricing. I was charged $15 per order, which didn't match what I was told over the phone, nor what's listed online or even on Yelp (where it shows around $10). When I politely questioned the discrepancy, the employee became argumentative and made the interaction uncomfortable. I paid, because that's not the issue--but being treated dismissively and feeling misled is. Pricing should be consistent and clearly communicated, and customers shouldn't feel like they're being taken advantage of for asking reasonable questions. Really disappointing experience from a place I used to enjoy.

Cafe Bolívar (est 2001) is a cute corner South American coffee shop on Ocean Avenue in Santa Monica. They have good selection of coffee & tea drinks, selective pastries, salads, breakfast, and special arepas. This cafe has a calming atmosphere with background music that's not too loud, and the staff are skilled. I came on a sunny warm afternoon to grab a cold drink/light lunch. I had a Cold Brew and Chicken Arepas. I enjoyed their refreshing cold brew coffee drink but so much on the pollo arepas. Its chicken was dry; arepas outside was crispy and crunchy but the inside was not moist. Moreover, their size was bloody small. Cafe's interior was naturally bright and aesthetically decorated. Indoor/outdoor seats were comfortable. Prices of the drinks were fair, however, arepas seem expensive. Service was on point. Staff were cordial. Free wifi. Plenty of street parking. Overall, it's a nice coffee shop.
