Finally a Boba Time in Venice Beach!!! Whether it's a warm day or rainy day it's THE spot to go get something delicious for the mood! Today I tried the pistachio frappe , it's so delicious!! But that shouldn't stop you from getting some of their other flavours! They surprisingly have a lot of options to choose from! Staff at this location are super friendly and fast and they were so sweet to my pup! I will definitely come back whenever I visit Venice beach for the drinks but also the beyond sweet staff!

There are a few locations in LA and I actually like this one! It's super nice to have a boba shop on the beach so perfect for the hot weather. The service was friendly and it wasn't too busy. It's counter service only so grab it drink and go. The price wasn't too crazy and got the large size for around $10. I ended up getting the Matcha Thai Tea and it was pretty good. A little bit too sweet, but after the ice melted was perfect. They didn't load it up full of ice either and was a good amount.

Staff is always kind, taking an order with a smile is so rare these days. Tea + Boba is really good, flavorful & high quality. Some of the options are too sweet for my taste, but their menu selection is huge. My favorite is the Matchata (Matcha Horchata) - which I have yet to find anywhere else. Great stop to refresh on the chaotic boardwalk. read more

Great service. Some homeless lady was harassing people trying to do business even after being told nicely by the staff to leave. The staffer then had to raise her voice but got the lady to leave. Very brave, highly recommend! read more

My wish came true! A legit Boba shop in Venice! Not only is the staff super nice and fast, they also hooked it up with a page of coupons. The drinks were delicious and I love that they have over 100 options. The prices are surprisingly super cheap especially for it being on the boardwalk. Despite appearing overwhelmed, they remained patient, professional and attentive..... and didn't make a single mistake with our orders. Their effort truly stood out and elevated the experience.

They have seating inside and outside, but usually the inside is already filled up if you get there anytime after opening. I had the pasta Bolognese and my friend had the fish and chips which we shared and we both loved each of them. The fish was so crispy and delicious and it came with gluten-free fries which were also awesome. We had two glasses of wine which we loved, and we were very impressed with our server, Cameron, who is obviously an expert on their impressively large wine collection. He is a legitimate wine connoisseur. I asked a couple of ridiculous questions, yet he answered them so politely with his highly knowledgable answer. Their Pomodoro pie (think perfectly thin and crispy crust, generous size, and tomatoes galore on top) looked out of control, so we got a slice. Add burrata cheese? Oh, yes, please do that. And they did, and we ended up with this glorious Naples / NYC slice fusion that delighted my post-dinner pizza joie de vivre. There is plenty for vegetarians at Gjelina Takeaway, including some delights from the main Gjelina menu, other slices, and more. I ordered the turkey sandwich and within 3 minutes of receiving it, the bread got soggy from the inside and half the ingredients spilled out, making a sloppy mess on my plate. It basically became a turkey salad with soggy bread mixed in. The quality was good and fresh, but I will not tolerate poor sandwich bread integrity, especially when it's $18. The more expensive the sandwich, the more irritated I get when it instantly turns into soup upon holding it for a bite. I like Gjelina for other items on the menu. Service is good. Location is nice for Venice. But I'll never order a sandwich here again until they toast the bread or use thicker slices to maintain sandwich firmness.

I recently ordered a large peanut butter smoothie at Boba Time on Venice Beach, and the experience was disappointing. When I arrived to pick up my order, I noticed the smoothie was made for a small size and instead of remaking it, the staff simply added ice, blended it briefly, and poured it into a large cup, which was still not full. When I pointed out the issue and asked for it to be remade, they dismissed my concern, handed me the smoothie, and shut the window without further acknowledgment. Poor service, lack of accountability, and I didn't get what I paid for. I would not recommend this place. read more

I recently visited the little boba spot along the Venice Beach walking trail and had a fantastic experience. The prices were reasonable, the drinks were excellent, and the service was impressively quick. The cashier even recommended some delicious drinks, making the visit even more enjoyable.
