    Pumpkin curry soup

Visited this restaurant last fall while traveling. Seems like a very popular spot. There was about a 45 minute wait time for a table and limited seating at the entrance, so my friend and I waited in our car. The food was definitely worth the wait! I got the pumpkin curry soup--I dream about this soup. I also tried their house recipe Bloody Mary, which was a bit too chunky for my liking but the flavor was great. The interior is a bit small but super cozy, and the waitstaff is very friendly and attentive. Highly recommend!

Everyone was really nice and the food was delicious! Very earth toned and homey/antiquey environment. It is a little pricey for what you get but otherwise a good spot.

Before my 3 hour drive back home, I wanted to stop and eat some breakfast before hand. I quickly googled places open that looked good and happened upon Rustic Roots. I put my name on the waitlist and headed over there and waited in my car until it was almost time. The inside was super cute and the folks working there were all so nice! I had such a hard time deciding what I wanted and ended up getting the home fries and hollandaise with a popover because they seemed know for it. The home fries were super crispy and the hollandaise was so tasty. I want a bucket of it and still think about it now. So much food and totally worth it! It was so good! I want to bring my husband next time!

Big fan of this place! Some couple told me about it and it's the hidden gem in the area! It's cozy and food comes out super hot!! I must be back!

Absolutely high-quality breakfast/brunch spot in Shelburne! I've had positive experience both dining in and ordering takeouts from here. The eggs benedict and omelets here are well-made with the restaurant's special tweaks. I recommend ordering egg bennies with their pop-overs, interesting if you haven't tried before. My partner thinks their lunch sandwiches are quite unique and of high-quality. Be prepared to wait for tables and food a bit longer, particularly on weekends. I understand that they have staffing challenges (similar situation in many restaurants in the area).

I had a great experience having breakfast at Rustic Roots. Service was great, the food was out of this world exceptional. For anyone unsure about having the popover, I say... go for it!

Quaint little brunch place that was fun and delicious. The highlight start was coffee with maple syrup! My first experience and it was really good! Try it! Nice menu items to choose from too. It's a really quaint place with a bar too that can help start the day.

What an incredible little spot. I got the feeling this place is well known by locals as it was pretty busy on a Friday at noon. The brunch food was amazing; your normal breakfast options but always with a unique twist on the ingredients that elevated the flavors. I really appreciated the extensive drink menu, the quintessential Vermont flair in decor, and the friendliness of the staff.

The food here left us speechless in the best of ways. We each tried a savory dish- the quiche and the mushroom omelette- and then we tried the banana french toast to share. The quiche was flavorful and surprisingly airy. It also came with a dressed side salad which was crisp and fresh. The mushroom omelette was delicious and came with crispy potatoes. The banana french toast was just the right amount of sweet. The staff was so friendly and accommodating - we called beforehand to change our reservation time and they were very gracious about this change! This place is an absolute gem!

They've since moved to a new location in Charlotte, and I finally got to check out their new location today. Luckily, they haven't changed their menu much since the last time I was there! It's a simple sandwich that I always crave. I also always get their Aloha cookie with powdered sugar, shredded coconut, chocolate chips, and maybe almonds? I can't remember what else is in it. It's a delicious, simple spot with chips, cookies, sandwiches, and drinks. I love the new location, and I hope they're doing well here! There were only two people working, and service was a little slow because of that, but we came around noon when there was a bit of a lunch rush. We waited probably about 20 minutes for our sandwiches after ordering. Sandwiches are about $13 each I believe. There's a table or two inside, and a couple tables outside. We opted to take ours to go because the space was on the smaller side.

They have an art gallery and wine shop as well and the coffee shop is a pleasant place to work. Part of me likes the fact that they don't have wifi as it's kind of old fashioned but it can make it a bit hard as a place to work. I usually just get the regular black coffees and I like that they have a selection of roast levels here. Pricing isn't cheap but it's what I would expect for the area. I wish they had cold brew as the ice coffee is not the same or as good. My wife loved the maple latte and that they do half caff. She recently ordered a matcha that wasn't great but they said it was the end of the bag and gave us a free iced decaf latte instead which was very nice. The reason I'm giving a 2-star review is because there is a wood bench on the side of the building by the parking lot. I went to sit on the bench and it flipped up in the air like a teeter totter and it was scary! I could have seriously been injured but I was able to jump off right away. I also had my 10 pound dog with me when it happened. I went inside and told a gentleman behind the counter what happened. He was nice and came outside with me and explained that the bench often gets backed into by cars in the parking lot and then it gets moved out of place. I have no idea why, if this is clearly a known issue, that the bench is not stabilized for safety reasons. If this happens next time to a child or an elderly person, this could end in consequences or someone getting seriously hurt.
