I stopped by Friday, May 21st to drop off my charm bracelet, I needed them to add 3 charms I received for my birthday. The cashier was super friendly and said it would be ready the next day after 1 pm. I never received a phone call or email that my bracelet was ready but since I was already out & about I decided to stop by sometime around 3-4 pm. They were fairly busy, the line was really long. They damaged my bracelet ! I took it in to get my new charms out on and they gave it back to me damaged and did not mention anything to me I guess Hoping I would not notice. My bracelet is doubled linked and one of the links is missing and some of them are broken apart and all tangled up. I spent hundreds on this bracelet and they literally just ruined it. James Avery is one of those stores where you can spend a lot of money and very quickly. Their selections are great and the designs are just beautiful. What I love are how attentive all their sales people are. All of them, and yes all, are polite and just make sure you get what you're looking for. My sales lady even made a recommendation for a gift and it was perfect. The store is very rustic looking, bright to see their merchandise, and overalls laid out well. The jewelry always gets a 5 star rating. Ive been wearing it for the longest time and nothing compares. This location is somewhat different than others that I have been to. There is no wait ticket. 1960/Champions, you pull your ticket, pick your items and wait for your # to be called. I went here yesterday, knew the lines would be long because it is the day before Mothers Day. The line was wrapped around the inside of the store, took approx 1 hour to get to the register. Finally it was our turn. I felt very rushed through the purchase. We picked out 12 charms. We had to pin the charms on each bracelet, had an assortment of bracelets and necklaces to pick with their MD promotion. We had one necklace to leave for a cleaning. I am sure we were at the register for awhile, but we were spending quite a bit of money and both me and my mom were making separate purchases. The woman checking us out was extremely impatient, looked and acted annoyed, could hear little puffs of breath every time we asked to see something else, her body language and facial expressions matched. It was uncomfortable for us and rude. I have never had that experience at a James Avery. I understand the mothers day rush, but the staff does not work off of commission. My suggestion....if you take a job in retail, be prepared to spend time with your customers and don't be rude. Obviously i will return. I do not want to drive 30 mins away to another location. But I will ask to speak to the manager the next time an employee acts this way. Its poor customer service and I shouldn't have to leave a store, after spending $500, feeling like i was the problem they couldn't wait to get rid of. read more

I checked to make sure this location was open prior to driving here. I arrived and the sign showed that they were open as I had confirmed prior to driving here. I got to the door and it was locked so I waved to the worker inside and she said they closed! I pointed to the sign and she said, frankly and sarcastically, she was about to change it and would not let me in. There were several customers in the store and good customer service would have been to let me in since the sign showed open and I was advised that they would be open before I drove here. I understand the difficult times but good customer service should be all the time. Very disappointed and disenchanted with this location - and James Avery. read more

Waited in line behind 4 customers because a clerk was so busy talking about pedigree dogs with a customer for what seemed like 20 minutes. The service was amazing once I was served and noticed most of the sales clerks tend to go on and on with the customers which is nice, but not when your in a hurry and had to wait forever to get to a clerk. read more

Can't understand why the holiday staffing did not equip the store for success. 8 registers, 4-6 people on registers (sometimes less) and 5 people greeting in the lobby. (Smh) Seemingly there could be an even spread especially when it comes to paying. So many employees and the wait was extensive. 30 minutes or more. I expected a smoother transition. Went back two days in a row after Christmas and the line was even worse. Less people working too. read more
