Donna (I think that's her name) came out and got me right away, took me back, did an X-ray and shortly after Dr. Polley came in, numbed me up, cleaned the existing area and re-secured my crown. With this being my first time having cosmetic dental work, they all made me feel at ease from start to finish, especially Charlotte who got me set up in the room. I am an 85-year-old female and a proud patient of James P. Polley DDS. I was just completing my Invisalign system program. The next step was to replace all my fillings plus nine crowns as all my dental work was forty-five years old and was leaking. There is a small refrigerator filled with waters and bottled drinks, snacks, etc. I loved the open space concept of the treatment rooms, no doors, allowing the staff to enter with an open and airy feeling. Dr. Polley has his own lab where he creates magnificent work with great perfection. Dr. Polley and his staff are so awesome, the comradery and interaction with his entire staff is spectacular and so professional; all in their uniforms with their names embroidered thereon. Their website verbiage is BS! They talk about how much they care about their patients (new/existing) and how personable they are, yet the front office staff is rude/abrupt AND they will NOT work with you, if you're paying in cash. No discounts or anything if paying in cash! I don't understand why a dental office wouldn't work with a cash patient! This is the ONLY dental office I've called that doesn't work with cash patients. I asked what the reason was and the receptionist had no specific reason. Her only answer to me was: "He just doesn't work with cash patients, sorry." I guess Dr. Polley can afford to turn business away, which makes no sense. Very pompous office!! FYI: $400 just for an exam/X-rays!! That is the highest price in Vegas! This office is absolutely beautiful and it's like no other office I have been in. Let me start off by saying when u walk in u feel like u r in your own home. Sarah will come out and greet u right away and she makes u feel like u are part of their family. You take a seat maybe wait 5 mins. and Mike the hygienist will be out to get u and take u back. He makes u feel very comfortable, as well as in the chair. He is gentle and takes his time with his patients. If u r looking for an office that treat u like family and does not rush u out of the office this is the office for u. Let me summarize by saying that I'm beyond impressed with my experience with this dental office. I found Dr. Polley via Google. I was having severe pain due to an infected molar. When I called to request help, the first impressions established by Laura, Sara and Emily were of competence, professionalism, empathy, kindness and good humor. When I called Wednesday morning requesting that we accelerate to that day rather than Thursday because I didn't think I could handle 24 more hours of the escalating pain, Sara put me on hold for the shortest imaginable interval and returned with the good news that they'd find a way to work me in Wednesday. I appreciated being able to fill out forms online prior to coming to the office. The office suite is beautiful, and intelligently laid out. It's infinitely preferable to have a private, comfortable place to fill out forms and discuss your case rather than trying to do so in a lobby with a clipboard on your lap and curious eyes surrounding you. Dr. Polley's conversation with me about my situation and options was professional, neutral, empathetic and thorough. Throughout my time there, I never felt like a number on a production line, and I never felt like you were fitting me in. (I had brought a Kindle in preparation for what I thought would be justifiably long waiting periods, but didn't have to use it much at all.) Allowing my fiancee to remain throughout the procedure is a gracious touch, as is providing a comfortable chair for the purpose. I have been going to dentists since I was 3 years old after dealing with all childhood illnesses that came with lots of antibiotic and eventually damaged baby teeth and made adult teeth very soft. Over the years I've gone to several dental establishments to have my teeth cared for. Everything from cavities, root canals, crowns, bridges and implants have needed to be done. When I arrived in Las Vegas several years ago, I knew that finding a dentist who could handle my continual dental problems might be difficult to find. I asked friends but none of the dentists they recommended made me feel comfortable with what they wanted to do or the method in which they wanted to do it. So I continued to search for that one dentist I could trust and felt confident in. Just by accident, I came across Dr. Polley and his excellent, very personable awesome girls in the office and Dental Assistant which made me feel at ease. They sat down with me and laid out an entire course of treatment which Dr. Polley feels could correct the problems I have. He was friendly and gave me the show of confidence I needed to try his treatment. I have extreme anxiety and they are just very patient and outstanding. I have been under his dental care for several months now and I could not be happier with the treatment and results that have taken place to date. Not only is he a competent and thorough dentist, he is kind, friendly and compassionate in dealing with his patients. He makes absolutely sure that at no time during any procedure there is the least hint of pain or discomfort. He makes post treatment calls to check to make sure that everything is going ok.
