A wonderful front store customer service lady at the Lakeridge location deserves a special mention…read moretoday. Cassandra took a bad start situation that my husband and I had in another department and she turned it all the way around, giving us reassurance and confidence that the problem will be resolved. With that, she supplied great care, patience and made us feel much better about things when we left. Thank you Cassandra for being a bright smile during a frustrating time and for going above and beyond! Home Depot is blessed to have you!

This particular Home Depot, which I visited today is absolutely horrible. There is no one to help…read moreyou, and when you ask for someone they send you someone from another department that knows nothing about the department that you're in. You waste a lot of time while they fiddle with their electronics just to tell you that they really don't know and that this is not their department. Went to customer service spoke to several other individuals. They got on the intercom twice. Still couldn't get anyone to help with something as simple as some outdoor floodlights. While everyone was talking after 20 minutes and trying to figure out who they could ask, I just walked out to go to another store to get the things that I needed. One gentleman in an orange apron told me who I needed to speak to, but said he couldn't call him to come over. I would have to go and try to find him. I don't know how this makes sense. I don't know how these stores survive. No one seems to know what they're doing and everyone's just standing around punching a clock for a paycheck.

So is it perfect? No, but it's reasonably priced alternatives. I like my new rug, and that's what matters. It was a bit redundant for the guy to encourage me to get a value card, but I guess if someone goes in once, there's a possibility they'll come back

This place is an absolute spectacle. There are a lot of great finds to be had at low prices, but…read morethe way the store is organized it's often like rummaging through a massive yard sale where everything is technically still new. I'd sum up Ollie's by saying this is a "last-chance-VERY-last-chance-we're-not-kidding-absolutely-NO-chance-after-THIS-chance" store. Some aisles are totally normal with everything arranged logically on shelves, other times it's just boxes shipped directly from a business, full of their clearance items and a piece of paper taped to the shelving to guide you through the pricing. Home goods are priced in perplexing ways that seem to be left to the whim of whoever happens to be on shift the day the shipment comes in. Kind of like Goodwill. You will definitely find something here you can use. Of that, there is no doubt. (nail clippers, toilet seat, baking pans, towels, a fan, an alarm clock, pet bowls, holiday decorations), but will you find THE thing you came in for? That's a different question altogether.
