I've been to this location a few times, every time the coffee is consistent and smooth, not too strong. The menu is straight forward with coffee, hot chocolate, and specialty coffee items. They also have a few pastry items for purchase. The place has a bit of a living room in a cabin feel with all the brick. Staff is friendly and always has a recommendation. There is plenty of indoor seating. Good for individual and small groups. I see a lot of people with laptops here too. It doesn't get too loud so I do think it's good for working or just meeting up with someone. Parking can be an issue depending on the time of day but usually there's street parking.

I came on a Saturday morning and thankfully there was parking near the coffee shop. I was able to park my car and walk for 2-3 minutes to the shop. There were not that many people and there were still some spots available to sit down. I was really indecisive about what latte to get and the barista gave me a good suggestion. I also ordered a croissant as well. I didn't have to wait too long for my latte and croissant. The latte tasted really good and not too sweet which I liked. I would definitely come back to try the latte again.

I can't believe this place has been here since 2006. How did I miss it? Walked in to a fragrant room of coffee. Love the layout with the roasters on the floor, the brick wall, the antique grinders, quick service, great quality of non coffee merch. My iced vanilla latte was delicious, I'll be back!

This was my third time visiting Jameson Brown, and I finally decided to switch things up andtry the Vienna Latte. If you're into super bold, punchy espresso, this might feel a little light for you. The coffee flavor is definitely on the milder side. However, the texture totally made up for it. It was surprisingly creamy and had a really nice, smooth finish that didn't leave any bitter aftertaste. As always, Jameson is a great place for coffee as it is always busy. It has a cosy and spacious atmosphere but seating can be hard to find on weekend mornings.

Meh... after second day of trying to find a parking spot even remotely close to.. plan on a a walk... Didn't get the friendly vibe.. couldn't heat up my vegan muffin.. lavender vanilla latte was warm at best.. Service not very welcoming... I think this roasting factory is selling coffee/pastries as a secondary venture..

Still the best coffee roaster in town. Lots of seating, limited but delicious pastries, knowledgable staff. Get the El Salvador if it's in!

Despite the tricky mayhem parking options, there's a lot of rugged appeal here from the open space and atmosphere filled with texture and character. I wanted that seasonal horchatta but had to stick with the February drinks. We did chai, raspberry mocha, and cardamum. First two excellent and matched expectations set by my friends parents but my cardamum was dull and lifeless. At least their pastry sandwich things are fantastic!

Stopped here on my way to Bakersfield for a quick coffee and breakfast. It's super close to the freeway so i didn't have to divert like crazy. The parking is honestly dogshiz, but it's a lot street lol idk if there is any on the side, maybe go on google earth and research. The inside is super cool, it's def a roaster lol They have all the machines and huge containers filled with all sort of coffee beans. The location is spacious and it seems like a lot of people like to come here for coffee and work-time. Every college students dream lol The workers all look edgy af so you know their coffee is good! The serious is great and fast and they're very kind if you have any questions or want alternatives. Their bagels are so good too! I got their lavender coffee (decaf i can't handle caffeine well unfortunately ) and got my husband the honey one and they were both great. Honestly super excited to come back and just come in and chat with friends. Def worth the drive !

How did I NOT know this what here in PASADENA this whole time? Also, had to find out the hard way but they are closed on SUNDAYS lol. First off, lots of street parking. You'll find a spot. Came on a Saturday with my best friend right before we hit the road to head off to the beach. I was also able to get my trusty Pasadena Passport stamped as well. I initially wanted to order the Horchata Latte but they were out so I ordered the Iced Amaro Latte & the Spinach Mushroom and Feta. The drink was a nice earthy taste on a hot summer day. The Spinach Cheese was very delicious, but I will say that it was a lot of spinach. They get busy and a long line starts to form, and I can see why. But their service here is top notch and the line goes down fairly quickly.

Never knew this place existed. I had the seasonal orange blossom latte and it wasn't too sweet. The Vienna latte was also very good- honey and cinnamon. They are the brewery of coffee of that makes any sense. They look legit and it shows on the coffee. They have an extensive menu of drinks and baked goods, with plenty of seating inside I'm very interested to try more!

    Lauren C.

Very cute vibe here kinda like a brewery but for coffee which was different from anything I've seen before. However I found the coffee to be underwhelming which is such a bummer because I wanted this to be a new spot. If I'm in the area again I'd stop by and try it again just for the vibe but I wouldn't go out of my way. Parking -0/10 couldn't tell if the small area near their building was parking for them or another business, the area this place is located in is industrial and then two rows of houses and car dealerships, parking was rough! I had to circle three times to find a spot. Orange coffee latte - 7/10 it was good but watered down. It did have a hint of orange. Cafe de olla - 4/10 I was really excited for this but it didn't taste like cafe de olla to me, the cinnamon was lacking and again it tasted watered down. It also has a strange bitter taste at the end.

I'm always excited to try a new coffee shop :) When it's a roaster that makes it that much better because you know they are going to have great coffee from fresh beans! Jameson just reinforced my belief :) We both decided to have one of their specialty drinks, the Vienna Latte. It was soooooo good, delicious coffee flavored with Honey & Cinnamon :) Plus it was served at the perfect drinking temperature, something I really appreciate. The shop is in a freestanding brick building just a block from the 210 Fwy and only has street parking on residential streets. The interior is large with lots of seating options, a fireplace & of course a roaster. It has a relaxed, inviting vibe for you to enjoy. There are also some tables outside along the shady side of the building. In addition to a nice selection of coffee drinks they also have tea, pastries and, a wide selection of roasted coffee beans. We're looking forward to coming back and picking up some beans.

    Ally U.

Maybe I tried the wrong drink here since there is so many good reviews and they roast their own beans so I might have to stop by again. I wasn't greeted when I entered and the employees were just talking amongst themselves so after looking at the menu I felt like none of the options were too appealing to me. I got an iced oat milk white chocolate mocha latte and it was made quickly. It was way too sweet and you could barely taste the espresso or any coffee notes so it was disappointing. Maybe I got the wrong thing and I barely touched my drink before tossing it. There were lots of people inside but limited parking outside.

For the drinks itself, not sure what kind of matcha powder they are using but it doesn't seem to be grade quality. The banana latte also tasted like milk. Interior wise, plenty of tables & seating. On this weekday I came for the Jasmine Milk Tea. Last time this was under the Tea Latte section, but they menu changed and there is now a dedicated Milk Tea section. And also there is a Jasmine Latte with Espresso in it, but that is under the Espresso section. I was able to get it chilled but without ice. The lowest sweetness level was 50%, but I asked nicely and they estimated they could make a 25% for me. It turned out wonderfully, extremely floral, barely any sweetness so the Jasmine aroma and taste were the dominant ones. In the food side I selected the popcorn chicken. I can take some heat but only a small bit, so I asked for the spice powder in the side. I just looove the texture of the popcorn chicken. You can see in the picture that it's a very thin breading, almost not there, but the texture seems almost as if an invisible rice flour was tossed in the outside. Still juicy in the inside, and small pieces to make every bite pop-able. The chicken comes with a ranch sauce, though to me it's a second thought. Add a hint of spice or even have the chicken as is, no ranch is needed.

Regrettably over the last 10 or so years, it has been my perception that much of the specialty coffee industry has: 1) capitulated to the taste buds of the casual coffee drinker (or the masses) and have abandoned their desire to change hearts and minds with education about a new wave of coffee drinking experience; 2) are shops owned and operated by people who are non coffee professionals (you know who you are!) and lack pedigree & experience. I get it. It's tiring and frustrating trying to help customers understand that what they are drinking is not "weak" coffee just because they "can't taste coffee." The cappuccino may be the best I've ever had. I don't know what kind of coffee they use, but it was very smooth. That alone is worth the trip. AND, my barista did a cute milk art on top. The Kouign Amann was AMAZING. Layered and flaky I confess I ate the whole thing! I can't wait until I can try the other 2 things I've purchased. After all, the chocolate croissant was the primary reason for going. Now for the negatives: Management should figure out a way for more than one person to take orders and box them up. Even Mom & Pop donut shops often have multiple people taking orders. And Porto's has it down to a science. It would go a long way toward clearing the line faster. My second issue was the price. Quality is expensive. I get it. And I'm fortunate enough to be able to splurge for a treat like this. But with a small tip added to my total I spent just shy of $100! Not something I can do every week. But I would encourage you to save your nickels and check them out!

Republik is pretty big inside, with lots of outdoor space and seating as well. It was very busy when we arrived, and there was a line, but it moved pretty quickly and I got my order in a decent amount of time. I saw they had an Ube latte, so of course that is what I ordered, and it did not disappoint. Very flavorful and delicious. Service was good, and the baristas were all busy but took the time to greet everyone and thank them as we all picked up our orders. There is lots of free street parking in this area of Pasadena, so that was a breeze.

I saw the sign that said bakes good happy hour 50% off after 3 pm. Well that was misleading. So everything that I ordered, the cookies and cake are not part of the sale. I wish they were more clear about that. I thought it was 1/2 off which is why I ordered so many to start out with. The taste of the bake good, however, are good and not too sweet which is great. The chocolate chip cookie was meh, there are better ones in Pasadena. The pistachio cooking was good. And the green tea cake was amazing. I just wish there sign for the discount was more clear and things were so pricy.
