I can't believe that I have never written a review for Jamie! I originally found Jamie through WeddingWire when I got engaged in August of 2013. We met in October of 2013 to do a makeup trial and we ended up just totally hitting it off! I signed up for the bridal package that she was offering at the time, which included wedding day makeup + 3 facials before the wedding. During that time, I started noticing a huge change in my skin. I switched from the drug store Neurtrogena products that I had always used to the Epicuren line that she recommended and over 5 years later, I've never looked back! I continue to see Jamie every 3-4 months for regular facials and my skin always looks amazing. She's so knowledgeable, friendly, and always willing to answer questions. Her studio is small and cute, very clean and relaxing. I have recommended literally every person I know to go to her and they all have gone to her then become clients! This was honestly my first facial ever. And as a man who's barely getting into skin care and learning how to properly treat and maintain healthy skin, Jamie was very informative, professional, and overall made the experience wonderful. She has been doing this for about 10 years. She asks about your skin history and does a close examination of what type of skin and issues you may have. Afterwards, she works her magic on treating your face. She does a phenomenal job at explaining each product to you and a little history of the product and how the formulas for each one have evolved over time. I find that really useful and appreciate it a lot. She's not rough at all and applies the right amount of pressure to execute extractions and apply products. At the end, she recommends products for you to use at home and actually sells the products to you right there. Overall, it was a wonderful experience for me. I went for a facial last week, and I did not realize how badly I needed one until during the session when I touched my face and it felt amazing. I have since followed her guidance on how to take care of my skin daily, and I still feel the difference. I can see the difference not only in the mirror, but in pictures, too. This is only after one facial. I'm excited to go back to just keep on top of a good skin care routine. Also, the products she used and put on my face smelled sooo good. I purchased a product from her that I cannot get enough of. I get excited to put it on my face after cleansing. Most importantly though, I really trust Jamie and her work. I get worried a bit when I am putting my body in another's care, even for just beauty-type appointments, especially with dealing with your face. I really am not concerned about this with Jamie though. I trust her work and knowledge. I've been a client of Jamie's for about 3 years now. After every facial I feel refreshed and excited about my skin. For example, my most recent facial she examined my skin closely and asked if my skin felt dry lately and as soon as I mentioned I was on antibiotics she said that had to be the reason. She also recommend probiotics since I was on medicine and went into the importance of balancing our bodies. She's not only knowledgeable when it comes to skin care but also to staying healthy and how that affects our skin. She then catered the facial to cleansing my skin but to also rehydrate and not using anything too harsh so it wouldn't dry out more. The whole experience is extremely relaxing. I recently emailed and consulted Jaime in regard to her make up and hair services and was blown away by her lack of interest in our conversation from the very start. I can't personally attest to her services in make up and hair but all I can say is that Jaime really did not care to earn your services with her careless demeanor and lack of communication when I was emailing her in regards to her services. She was mostly interested "4 individual minimum" in which I qualified for. And even after then, there were one word answers, answers one week later. In short, it just felt she was too good for us. When I'm the one trying to be more proactive and learn more about your services, something is wrong. In addition, when I felt like I was no longer a good candidate in being her customer, she dropped communication altogether. Her attitude altogether made it seem as if she was too good for us and that was just a turn off altogether. Maybe you were just having a bad day or maybe it was a busy or frustrating week? Nevertheless, that's not how you treat your potential customers when they're interested in your services. I needed a makeup artist that was based in OC for my wedding in October. I wanted a good MUA because I had a couple of bridesmaids and mothers who were very particular with their makeup. I am so glad that I found Jamie!! I stumbled across her page on Yelp and I figured she was worth reaching out to since she had such high reviews. The day I emailed her she instantly called me personally just to say hi and to tell me that she received my email. She sounded so genuine and was super friendly. I just knew that I was going to like her after that conversation. Going into my trial, she was very accommodating with my schedule. She really took the time to get to know me as a person and she really cared about the look that I was going for. I wanted something dramatic enough to photograph well but not too drastic that would lose my facial features (my husband likes the more natural look). She nailed it on the trial and made it even better on the wedding day! She takes longer than the usual MUA I had trials with, but she does so because she's such a perfectionist. Who doesn't want to look perfect for their big day?? As the day wore on, I noticed that my makeup stayed put the entire day. Even through the heat, tears, and sweat my makeup looked flawless!! I used Jamie to do my pre-wedding facials and it is one of the closest things to heaven. I personally didn't think that I would "waste" money to do something like that but when you're planning a big wedding like I did everything helps to make you look fresh and less stress.
