We just had a spa party for my daughter's birthday hosted by Genie in the salon. It was an easy and very straightforward process, Genie was very kind and very accommodating! Loved working with her! The girls had a really great time and learned so much while also having fun. All the girls and parents kept telling us how much fun they had afterward. Would highly recommend, E2beauty is an awesome business to support and I will continue to support and highly recommend! As a side note I go to Sarah for hair cut and style and she's amazing! She always delivers and always has good advice and teaches me something new every time. I've also done hair spa as an add on treatment and it has always been lovely and relaxing. I had a haircut appt with Genie, the owner, a few months ago, and it was awesome! She listened to my concerns about some previous bad haircuts, and she really caters to what you want which is much appreciated! The salon also smells super nice. I'm sensitive to fragrances, but nothing is too strong smelling and just really pleasant. Today, I took my husband to do the head spa 90 minute service, and it was amazing. We had the appts with Yuko and Pa Kou, and it was super relaxing and calming. It includes 15 steps of scalp and hair care on a fancy reclining chair/bed - the Takara Belmont Yume Suite bed and Head Bath. The before and after scalp images were night and day. I felt so squeaky clean and light after! Some details about this treatment: it focuses on massage to promote better circulation and relieves tension, headaches. The perfect self- care treatment to melt away stress. It includes various scalp tools, micromist cap, red & blue light therapy with cupping, root dry with roller set, arm massage, shoulder massage, and complimentary beverage) It's so nice to have a salon care about quality over quantity. A huge difference compared to many other head spa spots that are just following the trend and trying to make money by appealing to the masses. This is very close to what you'd get in Korea or Japan. I appreciate the attention to detail and quality!! Note: If you're sensitive to noise, the head spa room isn't soundproof, but they play nice, calming spa music. I'm sensitive to noise, and it wasn't bad for me. Not only do they provide many services and have a private room available for renting for events like bridal party hair & makeup, but there's a ton of awesome beauty, hair, and makeup products in the front section. I've finally found my hair stylist! Genie does hair magic with my super dense and hard to lift hair. She really knows what she's doing and ensures that you're happy before you leave. You will not regret a hair cut/color from Genie or Sarah. They are both amazing and so easy to talk to. I was getting tired of my all-black hair and was in search for a good hair salon when I sought ought my co-worker's recommendation since I saw how nice her hair color and cut was. That's how I found e2beauty. That was 2 years ago now and I've never gone to another salon since. When i first got to the place, i instantly noticed how aesthetically pleasing the interior is. It's minimalist and chic - and the place was very bright and airy. I instantly felt comfortable in the space. It's also walking distance to the Hidden House Coffee so you can have a drink before or after the appointment. For my first time, Sarah did balayage to my hair and I absolutely loved it. It was just the change I needed without being so drastic since my hair was at its natural color black at the time. After that, I kept coming back for either partial highlights or double process color- so that she can touch up on my roots, lift my base and then add more highlights. She would always tone it down to ash blonde and then as time went by, it fades to beige-y blonde. She does my color so well that even though my hair's growing out for months (I go back every 4-6 months), it still looks nice because it's blended so well at the roots and the tone fades gradually. I always get compliments weeks or months after the day I got it done. Sarah always does my curtain bangs the way i like it too. I love how she is so easy to talk to and always listens to what I like for my hair while also letting me know what works. She also gives me a lot of tips to maintain my hair - from using wet brush to blue shampoo to styling tips. Overall, very happy with how nice the staff is, the quality of their service and the ambiance of the place. It's understandable how hard it is to schedule with them - so my tip is to plan ahead and book in advance. If you're booking for multiple services, choose the service that takes longer since that's what they use to allot time in their schedule. Bridal hair with Sarah and bridal makeup with Dorothy! I've never had my hair or makeup done professionally, so I was nervous, but everyone was super nice, helpful and so talented! The hair and makeup trial was worth the money! Sarah was very fun to work with and made suggestions for hair extensions. She did a beautiful job with glam waves and with helping with my comb and veil. Dorothy was so sweet and helped put together a perfect look for me that looked natural and so pretty! She took the time to get to know my face and skin concerns to tailor everything to me - the lashes she chose for me were perfect. I made an appt with Linda for lash extensions. But I caught the worse stomach flu and she graciously accommodated my time at last minute cancellation and rescheduled for me. So I got there with two corsages in hand and she offered to put in her refrigerator for me. And she had the place set up comfortable for me. I still had a lingering cough and she offered me water and cough drops. She did my lashes perfect and made sure it was even on both sides. I had no irritation or any discomfort. Linda made me feel so special for my wedding day and went the extra mile. She is so caring and super sweet and fun to talk to. My cousins and friends complimented me on my lashes. After a decade of going to my cousin to get my haircut down in Little Saigon, I decided it was time for a change. I knew I wanted to support a local business that catered to my Asian hair and I stumbled across multiple reviews of E2Beauty. I have a bad habit of really only getting my hair done once in a blue moon, but both Genie and now Sarah have become my hair saviors. I book all of my reservations online and I try to book on a weekday to guarantee parking in the back parking lot - weekends can get rough and with Santa Ana street construction, the other option is to park near Hidden House. You can't go wrong with any stylist at E2Beauty and their services go far beyond what I usually go to them for. I recently visited E2 beauty salon & headspa and had the most amazing experience with Genie! I received the 60 minute headspa treatment and it was incredible! My scalp was evaluated to start the service off and see if there were any concerns or problem areas. I changed into a comfy robe and went into the head spa area where I got to relax in a plushy chair and enjoy an hour of scalp treatment bliss! My scalp has never felt better or more clean! At the end of the service, genie gave me some helpful tips on how to keep my scalp healthy. Overall it was the best first experience with a headspa treatment! First of all, I didn't receive any services from them. I tried contacting them to try and see if they were available to book for an October 2021 wedding. They were very slow with their responses. Would wait days before they would email be back. Other places emailed me responses within 24 hours. By the time they got back to me, I already booked a place for hair and makeup. Anna did a fantastic job with my makeup, keeping the natural look I was going for while elevating my appearance. Multiple people commented on how my skin was glowing and soft the whole night, and I couldn't agree more! Daisy worked her magic with my hair. Initially, I wasn't sure how i wanted my hair to be, but with a few ideas to point her in a direction and some key follow up questions, Daisy created a stunning hairstyle that matched both myself and my LOTR theme so well. The curls held the whole night, and she worked my flowers and tiara into my hair beautifully and securely in a way that was comfortable. I can't give E2 enough stars! Ive been going to E2 beauty for probably the last 5 years! Ive mainly worked with Sarah and she is amazing! If you want ash blonde balayage, she will achieve it. If you want a pretty auburn violet, check. Have green hair from an at home dye mistake? She can fix it. Most recently, I told Sarah I wanted a golden brownie balayage! A honey hue with enough blonde but not ash the way I had it before. What happened? The most beautiful Golden brownie balayage!!! I couldn't ask for anything better. Most recently, I went to Sarah for this golden brownie balayage and Mindy styled my hair for my friend's wedding and Dorothy did my makeup. I LOVED everything!!! Sarah's awesome balayage really showed through in my style, Mindy kicked butt with a pinterest IG like style that I thought could never be achieved for me (cause I have thin hair), and I was glowing and happy with my glam makeup from Dorothy! Trifecta!! It doesn't make sense that people who don't receive their services provide a rating because they didn't receive the service! Plain and simple. I've been going to Genie for all my hair and makeup needs but I'm so excited that she opened up her head spa. I tried it for the first time and it's the next best thing to a facial! They take the time to look at your scalp under a microscope and see what your unique needs are and tailor the treatment to you. It was one of the most relaxing experiences I've had and it felt SO good. You can see immediate results after and I see why I'd need to do this regularly!! Turns out October is one of the most popular months for weddings in Socal, so I'm really glad I booked an appointment at E2 as quickly as I did. It was very easy to book an appointment and Hana was great at responding to my questions in a timely manner. I had both my trial and wedding makeup done at the salon, and the only thing I would say to be mindful of is the parking situation. Parking can be difficult in the area, so make sure you account for the amount of time it takes to find parking (or get dropped off). I was lucky both times to get a spot in their parking lot, but that's not something you'd want to depend on if you're worried about being on time. Dorothy did my makeup and Rofyah did my hair - both were absolutely amazing! My hair and makeup lasted all day, no touch ups needed (and I got plenty of compliments on both)! During my trial they gave me tips on how to better prep my hair & skin for my wedding, and that made a big difference. They're both super nice and I really felt pampered by them. read more

Honestly coming from someone with very little to no knowledge and capability in make up/hair, E2beauty does an amazing job in what they do. Vanessa is usually my go to for make up and Eugenia for hair. I never knew make up and hair can last that long and they make you feel so at home and comfortable as well. Parking is a little bit challenging but theres a lot of street parking (and apparently another lot across the street). Can be a little bit pricey but you get what you pay for! read more

To start off, I try to give the businesses that I review the benefit of the doubt and considering ive had two separate experiences with E2Beauty, I think this is a pretty fair review. I was a bridesmaid for my friend who made appointments for us to get our makeup done here, and after a great experience with the makeup team, I decided to use them for my own wedding makeup for 3 members of my family since I chose not to have a bridal party. When I came as part of a bridal party, we came to the studio and it was just us. The salon was quiet and clean. I appreciated how my makeup artist was familiar with doing makeup on monolid eyes! I was so impressed by the attentiveness that I asked if they did older faces bc I wanted to gift my grandmother this pampering experience as part of my own wedding. This is where the less pleasing experience comes in. The booking process itself is confusing. They have an automated link and you have to fill out what services you're interested in, but the choices are kind of vague so i filled it out, but i had to reach out to them separately via email after not hearing back for 2 weeks. That's not the bad part. I was pretty disappointed because I reached out to them in September when my wedding was in late March because I wanted to book early, and Genie told me to message back in January to book them. I did that and i paid my deposit immediately. And come to my surprise they emailed me a little under a month before my wedding notifying me that my time has changed (not asking, but telling me) since they booked two more bridal parties on the same day at the same time. She worded it as if it was out of her control, but imo overbooking/double booking is completely in their control. And when i brought up my confusion as to how that was possible because i booked as early as i could + my family circumstances that made moving up my appointment time difficult, Genie offered my deposit back. Anyone who is planned a wedding knows how stressful finding/vetting/booking a good makeup and hair team for a group esp with an older face within a reasonable location to the venue, RIGHT before the wedding, is extremely stressful. Because of this, I basically jumped through hoops on my end, to make this work with their new call time. They moved it up one hour earlier and for my family to come from LA and do a whole host of other things beforehand, just to match to their schedule, I felt my family was put on back burner because my party was not a bridal group and Genie's answer to me was either take what we're giving you or leave. On the day of, the two other bridal groups were so loud because of how crowded the space was, and my sister actually had to ask one of the guests if they could move a portion of their stuff for my grandmother to sit and to put down her own stuff. The bottom line is that the makeup and hair staff is nice, but the overbooking/scheduling issue is actually something that shouldn't be overlooked and in this case, it doesn't seem like it's a one off. This business doesnt seem to do first come first serve, which is fine, but maybe ask your guest if moving times is okay before you book two more parties instead of telling them that thats whats going to happen. And idk maybe they're trying to make up the money from covid and so they're saying yes to everyone. That i can understand. Still, call it what it is, say you overbooked, instead of making it seem that its the party's fault for booking. read more

I booked e2beauty for my wedding and they did an incredible job. I ordered bridal h&mu, MOB h&mu, and 3 bridesmaids h&mu service. We had the pleasure of working with Dorothy (make up) and Jenn (hair) and they were both amazing! 5/5 stars. I did 2.5 trials with Dorothy and she was so patient the entire time. I had no idea what I wanted and she would always pause along the process to check if I was okay with what she was doing. On the wedding day, it was so much fun getting ready with Dorothy & Jenn. We got ready at my home and both of them brought their own chairs. Jenn was able to accommodate our last minute request to add hair for my mother. They stayed on schedule. Per recommendations from my friends who have gotten married, I allocated a 30-minute cushion and it was perfect! We were able to leave for our venue on time. They were so sweet and my girls had a wonderful time chatting with them! I only knocked off 1 star because the company is a little slow at replying to their emails/my questions. Sometimes, only part of my email would be answered. There was 1 instance where I did not receive a response for 3 weeks; however, despite the slow responses, everything worked out and was amazing! All my bridesmaids loved their make up/hair. One of my bridesmaid said she liked the make up that day better than her own bridal make up on her wedding day! I've been here twice for makeup. Once for their photo ready application and another for their makeup lesson. The staff are really friendly and welcoming. Dorothy was my makeup artist for both sessions. She took her time to explain what she was doing and did an amazing job! Also, I have been lucky enough to be able to book appointments with them with only a day or two in advance. I recommend this place to all my friends, especially since there is a popular brunch place next door (which I have yet to try). The biggest con is that there is construction near the streets so parking is limited. At least their appointment through Vagaro provided instructions on how to park. I've been getting my haircut at e2beauty by genie for the past few years. She does a great job every time! She doesn't pressure me to do something different (I'm kind of boring when it comes to hair) and I have always left loving the result. Genie is such a pleasure to converse with during the appointment and always makes me feel so comfortable. At my most recent visit I asked about the possibility of having curtain bangs. She immediately asked Sarah to chime in since Sarah basically has the perfect bangs. Sarah was very honest with the maintenance curtain bangs require and what her routine was and in the end genie cut longer curtain bangs for me so that if I had time I could style them or if I didn't have time they would just blend in with the rest of my hair. It was perfect and I loved them! I also got my ears pierced at my most recent visit. Both genie and Sarah pierced them for me (they each took an ear) and it went great. It's so convenient to be able to get multiple services done at a single salon. The salon is near the freeway and parking has never been a problem for me. I love this salon and I'm so happy I found Sarah! I've been looking for a new hair stylist a while now (my former one of over 5 years switched career and became a nurse) and I was trying different ones the last 2 years... My friend referred me to Sarah because she just got her hair cut by her. So I made an appointment via online and was able to get one close to current date for hair cut. Sarah is pretty busy so you need to book her in far advance! I love the haircut she gave me. Sarah was so so fast and so precise! I've never seen someone so efficient and fast and precise! The haircut was like 30 mins and I had long hair and chopped it to get a layered bob! Then, my luck was still running because she told me she got a last in cancellation the next day so she could do my color. I made an appointment for a cut at their new location in Santa Ana and first off, the salon is adorable. I felt at ease the minute I walked in. The decor is trendy and cute and there is a cute outside patio area to hang out in, which I did after my cut because I was waiting for a friend to finish her hair. Another great thing about this salon is that it closes late, so all us 9-5ers now have a chance to get a hair appointment in during the week. Sarah cut my hair and she did a wonderful job. My frustration comes from the fact that they knew all of the details beforehand and still told me they were available. Their work is pretty and looks great. But I am disappointed that they lacked to communicate with me and ultimately got my hopes up for nothing. :( April 29th, 2018 I received a text from the team (which I have attached) As apologetic as they are, I'm still not going to adjust my rating. It doesn't change the situation. I put this on yelp so no other bride can potentially feel the disappointment I felt. I booked the E2Beauty team for my wedding and had a great experience! Vanessa did my make-up and Mindy did my hair, and they both crushed it! Juli and Pa Kou also did a great job with my bridesmaids and mother/mother in law. They took care to listen to each person's requests and tailor their services to everyone. I was able to review the artists' Pinterests to get a sense of their style before booking. Unfortunately I wasn't able to do a trial before the wedding day, but based on the reviews I felt confident in their skills! Vanessa and Mindy took care to review my inspo pictures ahead of time to understand the look I was going for. On the day of, they totally put me at ease and both my hair and make-up came out just like I wanted! All 4 ladies were flexible with our prep space (unfortunately the hotel did not provide the requested chairs until halfway through the session) and rolled with the punches. Had a long overdue cut needed. First time here, under the recommendation of my friend. Lin did my hair and was able to get it almost identical to the photos I had shown her. She was fair in pricing and made great recommendations to help me get my color to last longer to help reduce the number of salon visits needed. First time getting my hair done here. After two years of not getting my hair done I knew my hair was due for a makeover. I wanted something natural but with dimension - like that ashybrown look. I came in to e2 beauty for the first time and had Sarah as my stylist. I showed Sarah about 3 picture and she just looked at it for a couple of seconds and knew what I wanted. I thought that maybe she wouldn't be able to achieve the look I had in mind since I didn't really know exactly what i wanted either. But after she was done, my hair looked even better than I imagined it. This is honestly the best hair experience I've ever had. I love Sarah and Genie so much that I drive all the way from Highland Park to Tustin in order to get my hair done. They're not only talented, but they're also warm, friendly, and just genuinely great people. I have very stubborn Asian hair and they are the only ones I trust for my balayage and hair coloring. After two sessions, they've been able to get my hair from the typical brassy orange to a nice dark brown/grey ash color. Both photos attached are of my hair after two different visits.
