I would absolutely recommend Jamie's transmission service. The quality of their work is very high. I felt like was listening to and received quality information as a pertain to my Dodge ram. The value of their service along with the needs of my vehicle and my pocketbook were excellent. As a matter of fact, I went in there to take a look at something on my truck and I was not charged for that. This doesn't mean that this will happen with everybody. I had an appt months ago to have a transmission service done . Replacing all fluid with Amsoil Signature Series and replace filter with one I would provide . The price I was given was $450.00 for my 2020 Toyota Camry LE , 8 speed . It seemed to be too high to me . So I contacted Z Sport Automotive in Everett and for the same service they said $275.00 ! read more

I am totally upset. I had a rebuilt transmission pudt in that was goung to cost $5500.00 bur it ended up being $6060.00 and only a 12000 mile warranty or one year. I was not given a written diagnostic, There was no paper work saying they gave it a pressure test or electric diagnostic. The next day the truck would not start. The lights flashed transmission. It took me about two hours to get the truck started. I took it back and they fixed it in about 4 hours. All of this indicates to me that their not good at their work but sure can figure out how to make money and not stand behind their work. Looking at the paper work ti looks like they rebuilt my transmission and didn't really give me a rebuilt from their shelf. I'm not sure what i have or if it's any good. read more

I have to say, I thought I had some idea about what goes on with a transmission but I admit, I don't have a clue. I took a 08 Pontiac G6 in to get it serviced thinking that it could be adjusted and serviced to stop the slipping. Thanks to Jamie's taking the time to explain to me that there is no adjustment on this particular transmission. You have to pull the tranny to get to the valve body. I rarely give five stars, but I don't know how my service could have been better, and I feel an obligation to balance the only other review. It was very cold out yesterday morning, so I went to warm up my wife's van for her. Luckily, I noticed a pool of transmission fluid was forming quite quickly. If I had not caught it, the transmission would have been shot before she reached her destination. I drove it to Jamie's because it was close by. I had an odd vibration in my truck and after head scratching and troubleshooting the suspension, tires and wheels - thought it might be the torque converter going out. Took it to Jamie's who drove it for the day - Jayden concluded it was an engine misfire that was causing the torque converter to not engage correctly. Sure enough, found an ignition system problem and the vibration went away. It was refreshing to have a local shop take the time to help me figure out what was wrong - or not wrong in case - and did it for no charge. I'm impressed and very appreciative. read more

Jamie's Transmission did a rebuild on a Dodge Ram 1500. One week out of warranty the transmission made a banging sound followed by horrible grinding noises. We were on Interstate 5 when this happened and the jolt shook the truck! While we were over the 12 months by one week, we were under the 12K miles by about 3K miles. The truck was only used to running errands and getting groceries. It has never towed anything. We took the truck back to Jamie's. They did diagnostic and determined that the transmission needed to be rebuilt. This was disappointing as the first transmission had lasted over 15 years. We were offered free labor which put the new rebuild at just over $3000. This didn't seem right so we continued contact with Jamie's Transmission. It turned out that when we initially took the truck in Jamie was on vacation. When he came back and heard our story he agreed that the transmission had not been heavily used. He contacted the company that provided the gear package and they promised to provide a new one under warranty. Jamie took the time to listen to our concerns and he dealt with us fairly. It took extra time on his part but resulted in happy customers. I'm glad we took the time to pursue the issue because the extra two weeks saved us a lot of money! We recently took the truck back for routine service on the transmission. Service was quick and friendly! Took my 92 Cadillac Allante in for a transmission fluid change. I mentioned it shifted hard from 2nd to first gear. Jayden called and recommended I authorize an additional hour of work so they could check the vacuum lines. He found a problem, fixed it and it works like new. Very happy with their service and work. My stepson took his 2010 F350 into Jamie's because it felt like it was missing a gear. He got it back and still felt like something was wrong. We had a planned camping trip and 200 miles after picking the truck up the transmission blew and left my son's stranded on the highway. We towed the truck back to Jamie's a week after they rebuilt the transmission. Turns out torque converter blew up and destroyed the fly wheel and now they are trying to bill my step son another $1865.61 after the $4450 rebuild he just paid for and is still under warranty! Absolutely the best place to go! I started having transmission issues in December. I was 99% sure I needed a rebuild or replacement. So, I sat on my Jeep for few weeks while trying to figure out what to do. I contacted a few different shops, although as soon as i started having issues I was told "Jamie's". I was very happy with the fact Kattie from Jamie's contacted me when they got into the shop. I knew there would be a delay as i had contacted them on the Saturday before Christmas, but first thing Tuesday morning (the day after Christmas) Kattie contacted me and answered all my questions. She gave me an estimate over the phone and assured me that they would find out exactly what was wrong with my car before fixing the transmission. In the meantime I reached out to one other shop btw, only Jamie's and one other shop reached back out to my inquiries..... the other shop wanted 220.00 just to give me an estimate, yeah right. So I dropped my car off a week later, which I'm the way to drop my car off it totally crapped out on me, so I was positive that it was in fact my transmission. Later that day they called to let me know they took my car out and almost didn't make it back , yep, I feel your pain, guys! They confirmed it was the transmission. . Originally I had been told 3 days for the repairs, but it ended up being a week and 2 days (really 4 extra business days) before i could pick my car up because they were backed up. Oh well. I was just happy I found someone to fix my car that wasn't trying to squeeze extra money out of me. I paid my bill over the phone and Got my mom to pick up my keys early because they close at 5 PM on Friday and I didn't want to wait until Monday to pick up my car. I had a 99' F250SD 4R100 tranny rebuilt by them in Jun 2015. From the first time I talked to them , to the latest checkup, they are extremely professional, knowledgable and polite. Prior to selecting them for my work, I talked to them about the issues my truck was experiencing. They immediately were able to tell me about common problems, repairs and improvements that they typically found in tranny's like mine, with similar use and mileage. Their estimates were very fair. And to be honest they came in below estimated cost on both quotes I was given. The work was completed on time and rather quickly. 5 day turn on my tranny, including ordering unexpected parts. Once they are done rebuilding your tranny they will inspect in 1 week later to verify their quality work, free of charge and schedule followup services as necessary. I can't say enough about their customer service, integrity or communication with their customers. A very clean and well organized shop, that sets the trend for the quality of their work. I"Dropped off daughters 2000 Durango as was shifting rough . Less than an hour received a call that tranny was shot no 4th gear. Repair cost estimate $2500.00. Went and picked up with trailer as she could not afford the repair. Decided to take to another tranny shop for a second opinion. The other shop looked at in on the spot. Found out that it was way low in tranny fluid. Also recommended replacement of speed sensor. Dad bought part for $23.00 dollars and replaced. Durango runs fine now. So is Jamie's misdiagnosis a mistake or dishonesty? No matter they will not receive any future business from us! BEWARE! read more

Consumer beware! Jamie's Transmission has been around for many years but don't let that be a determination of the quality or integrity of the shop. I have experienced poor workmanship as well as heard first-hand from a few others of their disappointment. I would caution any vehicle owner when any transmission shop automatically assumes that your transmission "needs to be rebuilt". I experienced this several years ago. Having worked on the transmission myself and having had the pan off multiple times, the first red flag was when I was called and informed that there was "metal shavings" in my pan. I informed the individual that I had just had the pan off and there was no sign of shavings, mechanical failure, and it was fresh trans oil. Then I was told that one of the techs "diagnosed" that there was a bad bearing internally. Well, long story short, I told the person that if they guaranteed that the problem I was experiencing would be fixed that I was willing to pay the few thousand dollars for a rebuild ($3500 if I remember correctly). One year later, I picked up my vehicle and the original problem wasn't fixed. Yes, the vehicle sat there for a year while they struggled to fix it. See, the problem was never mechanical, it was electrical. It had a problem shifting which is all controlled electronically. They confirmed this with their specialty tool called a "Shaeffer Shifter". Then they had the audacity to tell me that I should have had them repair the transmission in my other vehicle after I shared that it too had a problem. This was told to me during one of my many visits to check on the status of the one they were already struggling with! There ARE reputable shops out there...but you need to do your research. I've done business with a different transmission shop that actually repaired the part or parts that are broken. Unfortunately, they've closed down due to health reasons with one of the owners. I've heard the echo of "your transmission needs to be rebuilt" from a few other friends after taking it to Jamie's. They were unhappy. So, is Jamie's a good shop? Maybe to some. But I would never take my vehicles there again knowing that there are other more reputable and honest shops out there. Who am I you wonder? I'm a certified technician and instructor so I had a fair amount of knowledge. Although, transmissions are not my specialty which is why I took it to a shop who was supposedly the transmission professionals. Lesson learned. Do your research and ask others where they took their vehicle! The vehicle that had low mileage and was worth around $4,000 ended up being worthless because it was never fixed. Its been quite some time since I had Jamies repair the front diffential in my 07 Tahoe. This repair was due to a hose poorly located by GM allowing water inside the differental. Although GM had a service bulletin out on the problem they would not cover the cost of the repair and based on previous experience I really didn't want the dealer to fix it. The repair was expensive but I have not had an issue with it since. I read some negative reviews about Jamies but I can only tell you they diagnosed and repaired my vehicle and I have not had further issues. read more

I had Jamie's rebuild the auto tranny on my 2004 Isuzu Trooper with 165,000 miles on it. It ran fine locally until we spun a flywheel 6 months later and had that fixed next door to Jamie's. SUV ran fine locally for the next 6 months but the tranny got fried on a trip to Yakima with less than 5k on the rebuild. Took it back to Jamie's who rebuilt it for the cost of parts only since it had been barely a year from original rebuild, (kudo's to them). A few months later we spun another flywheel and took it back next door for repair which they fixed for nothing after a heated exchange. After researching the web spinning flywheels were mainly associated with transmission repair. So someone was missing something. Weather it was Jamie's or the shop next door I wouldn't recommend either shop for anything. read more

I have brought multiple cars to Jamie's for different reasons... my Cadillac DTS started slipping intermittently between gear shifts and sometimes randomly on freeway causing the car to go into safe mode (very frustrating). So, I brought my car straight to Jamie's Transmission, drove around back and I was immediately greeted with "how can I help"? They hooked up my car and ran a diagnostics check and informed me that I had a bad speed sensor. Jamie's ordered the part that day and within a day or two, the part arrived. I receive a call that the part was there and I could bring the car in. I drove there at lunch, they guided me straight onto the lift and within an hour the car was ready and I was on my way. I thought to myself WOW, that couldn't have gone any better. A couple years ago I tried replacing a wheel bearing on my Volvo XC90 that was nearly seized to the axle. After many failed attempts I finally gave up. I called around to a few different places (at least 3 to get a good bid) but I couldn't find a place that would take over this job that I started, especially after I already bought the bearing hub and axle.... Except Jamie's Transmission! When I called they said, "If you can get it down here, we'll fix it for you, if not we can help you get it here". What a relief.... This job was looking like it was going to cost me double, if not more, elsewhere ("IF" they would). I pieced the car back together and remember putting the brake assembly (including the emergency brake) for that wheel in box in the back and CAREFULLY driving it to Jamie's. I told them to take their time as I was thankful they were willing to take on this job that I started. I'm not only thankful that they specialize in transmissions but also specialize in the complete drivetrain... Including axles and brakes! Their prices are very competitive but what I like the most is that every member of their team are courteous, well trained and are professionals at what they do. It gives me a piece of mind that I know the job was done right, the first time, and my family is safe. I would highly recommend Jamie's Transmission Service to anyone. read more

This is my experience , and mine only, yet it seems to mirror a few others here. Took my F150 in cuz tranny was acting erratic and shifting hard. I was told I needed to "rebuild" ($2700+)I said ugh, I can't afford, what's the other option? I was told they could replace torque converter ($1200+) and see. So I picked up the truck and took to Snohomish transmission for second opinion, turns out it was a wheel bearing sensor telling the electronic transmission it needed more pressure, which confused it and made it act as it was. Less than a $500 fix, no joke. The saddest part of this story is we took our sons blazer there a year ago and we were told the same thing "Rebuild" ($3500+) and we did it!!! I really regret not getting a second opinion on that blazer, and will never take another vehicle to Jamie's again. What a scam in my experience. If you do go there, I would also get a second opinion for an accurate assessment. Good luck. read more
