Janal Wholesale is one of my go-to places when looking for fresh flowers! Their prices are always very competitive and the staff is really friendly. I visited Janal yesterday because I have an Altar de Muertos at home and was looking for marigolds (which can be really hard to find during this time of year). To be honest, I first visited another nearby wholesaler but all of their Marigolds were reserved for someone else. I then decided to visit Janal Wholesale, and was surprised to find multiple flower bouquets with marigolds. The only downside about their marigolds was that the majority of them were looking pretty sad, but Day of the Dead is in just 2 days, so I didn't mind it. Janal also sells ribbons, faux flowers, and all sorts of things for any kind of DIY project. Definitely recommend them to anyone looking for beautiful fresh flowers! read more

Janal was the only flower shop in San Antonio that had what I wanted for my wedding flowers, especially the greens. My arrangements were mostly greens and that was such a hard thing to find, surprisingly. It was sort of last minute when I called Janal because I had gone EVERYWHERE I could possible go, and prices were either way too high or they simply didn't have what I was looking for. The prices here were great but they actually had exactly what I was looking for! The staff was friendly and the lady I spoke to over the phone for my order was awesome. She was very patient and explained everything perfectly. Like I said, even though it was last minute they still managed to get my order just in time for the wedding. I will forever be grateful to this little gem downtown. I have gone again a couple of times after that for mother's day and birthday bouquets and have not been disappointed. read more

I tried placing an order of 10 rose bundles over a week in advance. I left my name, number, pick up date & order. Unfortunately when I called to see what part of my order was full filled Debbie picked up with attitude. I made sure to call before pick up since they stated my order will most likely not be in stock. They have a sign on the door saying they close at 3 due to Covid. Really? Does Covid attack after 3 or something? My overall experience has been really good. The florist, Roland, is wonderful. He's kind, helpful and give you great advise. I really enjoy working with him and the rest of the staff at this store. I went in for some bulk flowers, nice selection but a little disappointed that flowers, specifically the roses were wilting on day 2 from purchase. Also most of the flowers started to turn brown in the petals. I probably will look elsewhere before going back read more

I stopped into Janal's to pick up a bunch (10) or orchids that I had ask to be held for a retirement party after speaking with George last week and to my delight they were held and the most beautiful orchids I had ever seen. George asked if I had a particular color I wanted held after informing me of the colors he had and I asked for the purple with white orchids to be held. When I arrived at the shop I asked if they minded helping me put together the arrangement and unfortunately I was it would be extra cost to do so. So I then asked may I put the arrangement together myself in the store and get the employees opinion after I finished and they stated yes. Well as I am struggling because I am terrible at anything art Travis (the designer) saw my struggle and asked if I was in a hurry that he would help me. What excellent customer service and such a sweet person who clearly was the right person for the job. Travis eye for putting together the arrangement was fantastic and he also helped me by showing me how to do one or two placements of floral and then had he do it as well while he supervised. Travis lastly helped me with making sure the arrangement was securely placed in the box I had brought to carry it back to work in and out to the car with my arrangement. So without a doubt I would recommend Janal's not only the floral quality but for the customer service as well. read more

I spent quite a bit of money here on flowers for my daughter's wedding. Wisely I ordered a large amount of roses from Sams and Costco. I ordered garden roses from Janals. They said that they would look like peonies. First of all they didn't and at first look they looked ok unfortunately the day before when I unwrapped them at the top I found out that many were so old that they were falling off at the tops of the rose. The greenery -ivy was fine. The carnations were also old and the edges were brown. When I called to let them know they said that they could not credit my account for the dead flowers but would give me a credit for future orders. Well trust you once shame on you but if I trust you twice shame on me. My advice order the flowers from Sams and Costco but definitely not here! read more

I was so disappointed in this place! I came here for my wedding flower and at my consultation the florist had me fill out the invoice which I thought was a little weird considering that the last place I had a consultation at the florist filled everything out but I did it anyways. I wrote everything out! Every little thing down to how many flowers I wanted what color of flower and what color ribbon. And I also sent pictures of what I wanted everything to look like! My wedding bouquet looked nothing like what I asked for it was even missing flowers. Then the boutonnière were wrapped in the wrong ribbon I don't understand how if I filled out a form saying exactly what I wanted and also sent pics how this happened. The owner ended up redoing everything an hr before the wedding but when got them back the roses in my Bouquet were suppose to be pink it looked yellow cause they were already dying and the white rose on my husbands boutonniere was turning drown cause it was also already dying. read more

I just left Janals and feel great about our experience wit it. Roland gave so much advice about everything and even did samples for our arrangement. We had appt with our regular florists and I didn't feel comfortable at all about it a couple of months earlier . We hope to use Roland for our wedding in May .
