    6/$18 oysters
    Kathy V.

Food was overall okay. Would not recommend the clam chowder as it tasted very bland and thick, almost as if there was too much flour in the base. We got the half shell oysters (6/$18), which tasted very fresh and clean! My partner and I shared the trio sampler and two tacos on the side. Tacos were okay, not very flavorful. Its main taste came from the sauce and there was not much of it... The sampler plate tasted good overall, but we did feel heavy as everything was fried (our mistake). Service was okay, very minimal. They do have one restroom and a few porta potties if needed! They also have a garden area outside which is very nice if you're willing to dine out there (highly recommend). Overall a good place to stop by if you're craving oysters and a beer.

The oysters are worth the short drive to "the country" just outside of Tillamook. I got a few oyster on the half shell in a combo with prawns, cocktail sauce, and oyster shooters. The clam chowder is creamy with big succulent oyster chunks (just the way I like it). I'll be back!

This is a must stop on the coast if you are a seafood lover. Beautiful location, friendly staff. The clam chowder is the best clam chowder I have ever had, creamy, smooth and fresh local clams.

Half dozen oysters on the half shell...sooooo fresh and delicious!

I consider Jandy Oyster a destination restaurant and make a special trip to the coast just to eat there. Their oysters are the freshest and most flavorful available on the Oregon coast, from clean, clear waters. In addition to a half dozen on the half shell (my companion does not like raw oysters...imagine that!), we had wonderful clam chowder and excellent excellent fish tacos. On previous visits we have had fried oysters (the best, with tasty dipping sauces and coleslaw), shrimp cocktail, and fried shrimp. Everything is mouthwatering and satisfying. The servers are friendly, attentive, and non-obtrusive. The atmosphere is open and friendly, never rushed. On my last visit, there were four people sitting at a table nearby playing Mahjong. There is also a greenhouse and a nice selection of plants available for sale. We were there on a cold wet day so stayed indoors but there are lots of outdoor tables, set far apart, in a pleasant garden setting. Thank you Jandy Oysters for fulfilling my cravings!

Fantastic food. Fantastic service. Great ambiance. Huge portions (especially the Seafood Trio and the chicken baskets). Party of six (including two kids) and everyone had a great time. Came after visiting a nearby oyster hatchery while on vacation. Our party had a variety of dishes including clams, oysters, chicken, fish, fish tacos, shrimp, and chowder. Everyone was satisfied (if you bring kids who only want chicken strips, the "Chicken Strip Basket" is huge and enough for two).

Fresh oysters with a touch of JAndy sauce I put on. Incredible!

Absolutely the best , most succulent, and freshest oysters I've eaten. That is saying a lot since I eat fresh oysters frequently. The special Crabby Jacob (quickly grilled with bacon garlic green onion butter, touch of hot sauce, crab meat and bay shrimp topped with havarti cheese) was excellent. Fried oysters with light tempura which only enhanced the oysters natural flavor and oysters on the half shell- Small, sweet and salty- out of this world perfection. Staff is knowledgeable, attentive, and friendly. Sitting at the bar is fun to watch the artistry of the oyster shucking but the only small complaint I have is that the bar stools are too low for the height of the bar and I felt like a little kid with my chin on the bar drinking my tasty beer. This a must go to place!

Awesome little place with great ambience, definitely coming back for oysters, I didn't bring a cooler this time bring home some fresh oysters next time I will. We tried fish tacos & shooters fresh oysters for sure! Two thumbs up on the oysters, they didn't have Tabasco sauce only chipotle & Cayenne sauce but one of the staff members was kind & shared her personal batch of tapatío definitely bring your own sauce. I paired my shooters with habanero Jacobson salt we had just recently purchased, this salt made it taste righteous! With a dab of Tapatío. I will comment on the tacos, not really sure this were rock fish since I cook lots of rock fish tortillas wasn't crispy or hot just lukewarm. Definitely recommend the oysters & great service.

Fantastic! So glad we stopped in. The great reviews are right! Excellent oyster shooters. I also had the coastal trio--every bite was delicious. The best fish and chips I've had on the coast. We had the pleasure of meeting the owners. They were gracious, generous, and attentive. Dining in the outdoor courtyard by the greenhouses was an added bonus.

The oysters are IT! Jandy Oyster is super easy to spot off the expressway, shoutout to the team for great signage. Once you're here you're pushed into a quaint, breezy, restaurant/garden/space. They have a lil shop, indoors, and outdoor back patio seating that is kid and dog-friendly. I stopped by for some oysters, and they have a half and a dozen options. They also serve local beers as well as entrees. Oysters were FRESH and beautifully prepped raw on a lil tray of ice. I wish they had more dressings like a vinegar sauce. BUT I loved their chipotle red salsa in the bottle, so that was a nice lil treat. I also learned that they host an annual oyster fest every year! Restrooms are clean and unisex. The parking is on gravel but spacious. Service was casual and fast.

Best baked oysters on grill. These were grilled with bacon, a butter, garlic, and topped with cheese. Similar to oyster Rockefeller. Came with bread, which you do need because it is Rich.

The food is as fresh as fresh can be! The owner has 97 acres in the bay that he raises tumbler oysters. He brings them here and we eat them and boy were they fabulous! The staff were super friendly schooling me on the different types of oysters. I ordered fresh on the half shell tumblers and the fried pacific oysters. The tumblers are extra briny and have that wonderful ocean flavor. The fried were light and crispy and perfect n every way. My husband had a shrimp cocktail and bowl of clam chowder. Both were good. Jandy's has a casual vibe with seating at the bar or at table. We loved it and recommend it.

We ordered 6 oyster shooters and the smoked albacore tuna sandwich. The wait was short, and everything came out all together. Seating is outdoors with tables, benches, and umbrellas. The oyster shooters were very reasonably priced and delicious. They tasted so fresh with no overly "oceany" flavor. I had 3 with their cocktail sauce and 3 with hot sauce. They brought out both Tabasco and Cholula so I could choose between them. The smoked albacore tuna sandwich was yummy and came with a side of chips. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely come back especially if you're looking for fresh and affordable oyster shooters.

The bread bowls are frozen- the claw chowder I would say was stocked: real red potatoes and lots of clams, the downside was is it wasn't super creamy... it had a strange taste, and I think it's the stock they use. The bread bowls top is made with rosemary and it's actually really good with the butter. Overall it's not something I would order again. We had canned sodas. Service- was alright. The guy who was in the kitchen was off somewhere else so another guy came up and had said he was off duty but the guy would be back soon. I'd say we waited about 10-15 minutes. Ambiance, the shop inside is decent and clean. I'm not sure that I'd recommend this place based on they didn't have half of the items we originally wanted to get.

There were plenty of parking in the lot and you walking the market store, the crabbing docks and some campsites on the walk to the outdoor restaurant part (also lots of fun photo ops too!) The menu prices were reasonable and displayed right at the ordering/cooking station. You tell them what you want and then you take the metal plaque inside to pay. We got 1 Dungeness crab (cleaned), 1 lb of clams, and 1 dozen oysters all steamed to try. Please do note all the accompaniments were sold separately such as butter, garlic, cocktail sauce, and lemons. They also had a microwave station for you to melt the butter along with all the tools you'll need for your yummy tray of fresh seafood. Eating crab is a labor of love but it was totally worth it! The crab meat was juicy and sweet, while the clams and oysters were briny and salty. If you want raw oysters you have to shuck them yourself due to cross contamination prevention. But the steamed oysters were actually so good too! Service was quick and friendly with everyone working hard cleaning, steaming, and dishing out orders. It's nice to have the hand washing stations and bathroom close to rinse off the stickiness from our seafood feast. Definitely recommend coming here to get your fresh seafood on if you are in the Rockaway Beach area!
