    Cod fish and chips

The service here from the staff is absolutely unmatched by anywhere else we've eaten on the coast so far. The woman working the counter was so personable and kind. Not only did she bring out a crab melt cut up into chunks to give people samples while we waited in line, but she also gave us a free sample of the clam chowder when we said we'd never tried it before. On top of the amazing service, the portion sizes you get here are also the best we've run into. I got the cod fish and chips and was served 6 pieces of fish for the same price as other establishments that only give you 2 pieces. We also got the popcorn shrimp and chips and were amazed by the quantity of food we were served. The quality is similar to other fish and chips in the coast (good), but the service and the value of this establishment makes it a must stop for anyone going through Rockaway Beach.

I have heard nonstop raving about this fresh caught restaurant, so I had to go give it a try! The first thing I noticed, was the pricing... it was quite up there. My boyfriend ordered the halibut fish and chips which was $35 and I ordered the chicken and chips and clam chowder which was $29 plus tip. I was a bit nervous for the seating since they all looked filled, but there is a quick turn around on tables. The food arrived quickly after ordering and sitting down, the food was piping hot. The halibut tasted super fresh, but the crust was lacking a lot of flavor. My chicken was tender and more flavorful than the fish. They give you a lot of food though, so you should be able to split everything! The clam chowder was super thick and tasty, with a great amount of clams. Although the food was fresh, I can't say we will come here again just because of the price. It was more of a one and done situation. But I do urge everyone to try it once!

Stopped by after our visit to the factory across the road. Got the basket of popcorn shrimp with fries. Our order came out pretty quickly. The fries tasted fresh and the shrimp was crispy.

As most reviews will state, this place is an absolute hole in the wall but across the street from the most famous tourist attraction. I think because there's not much to do in Tillamook they get away with it looking so incredibly ghetto inside and out. However, I still recommend coming here. We had AMAZING smoked salmon (Garlic & pepper), fries with fry sauce, clam chowder, and an incredible crab melt. The food was amazing, seriously I had to take a nap after. Again, it's a ghetto looking place for sure... they should consider upgrading the building so it doesn't look like a school portable... it's weird but the food makes it worth it. The dudes were super friendly too and listening to damn good music. The only stars being taken away are because yall need to make that place look more attractive.

Right across from the Tillamook creamery. We loved the patio and just car watching. Food was delicious and definitely hit the spot after the drive from Portland. The crab melt was sooooo good.

We love their clam chowder and their service. Gluten free clam chowder and fish and chips- a must stop in Tillamook. Much better than mo's.

The people at the information booth were friendly and personable. And now for what needs improvement! Customer service at the cafe was not friendly. And on two separate days we were there and still couldn't figure out how things work. They give you a buzzer but then you also see people delivering food to tables. The first day, our buzzer went off several times but nobody brought us anything. I finally approached the person who was delivering food and he said we needed to go up to the register to get our order. What? Back to the registers where there is a huge line? If that's the case, have a designated pick up area. And why do some orders get delivered and others don't? Make it make sense. And be clear about it when hand the buzzer to guests. The second time we stopped in, we ordered a breakfast sandwich and a coffee for my husband. The girl at the register asked if we wanted anything else and as I was looking for other drink options, she finalized our order, said the total and walked away. I found that rather rude. Guess I didn't get a drink. Later we saw her just standing at the register with her arms crossed. If she's that miserable less than an hour after opening, perhaps a customer facing job isn't for her. The patio door in the cafe also needs to be fixed so it's not banging every single time someone goes thru it. I would suggest anyone visiting enjoy the self-guided tour, maybe grab some ice cream, but go get food elsewhere. Oh, and as to how the food was - it was just ok. Nothing outstanding and overpriced IMO.

Ice cream is my favorite food - I would be in trouble if I lived close to here!…read more I went with a group of 11 people, 4 adults, 7 kids. We all really enjoyed ourselves. We liked watching the process of making and packaging the cheese ( there really should be some kind of line -start at station 1 and then move along - I know it's designed to do this but there were people just jumping back and forth which because frustrating) The ice cream is delicious - I had to get a flight - my eyes were bigger than my stomach but it was worth it! I do wish the ice cream shop was open later or they had a separate one in town - we stayed in Tillamook for two nights and would have gotten ice cream after dinner every night if it was open!

Blue Heron French Cheese Company was a bit of an impromptu and unexpected stop for us. We wanted to…read moredo something in the area that wasn't the Tillamook cheese factory and Yelp directed us here. I'm so glad it did. They have a shop with cheese, wine, ice cream, snack options and lots of other items. There is also an area outside where you can sit and enjoy your food. They have animals on the property and we purchased some feed for them inside the shop. It's only $1 a bag so we bought lots and headed out to meet them. I loved spending time with the animals but they were not at all interested in the feed. We happened to be eating a sandwich and they were much more interested in that. They have a wide range of animals, from sheep to alpacas and donkeys and ducks and chickens and even peacocks. There's lots to see. That said, I can't really give them five stars because like a lot of the reviews mention, the state of some of the animals is concerning. As much as I enjoyed interacting with them, there were things about their care and surroundings that made me feel really sad. Something I did really appreciate though is that this location allows you to camp overnight in your RV or van for free. This is a huge perk when you're traveling through the area. Because we got here late in the afternoon. We did end up staying the night, but if you decide to take advantage of that be prepared for the bugs. There were so many bugs. There is plenty to see and do here and this place definitely has a lot going for it. If you're road tripping this is a good place to stop. You can get supplies, spend some time with the animals and have a safe place to spend the night.
