I went in on a Saturday in July. I ordered the fish sandwich and a cup of clam chowder. The sandwich was a thick buttered and toasted bun with white onions , 4pickles and tomato and lettuce. $17 for the sandwich itself but their special included a cup of clam chowder for $5. The sandwich was filling and the chowder was full of clams. It was thick and perfectly seasoned. Service was good and efficient. It is in a big parking lot with other restaurants and near a dock where you can fish. It was a great visit. read more

The food is always fresh, clean and seasoned perfectly. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, with expedient orders, drinks and they always have great specials. The walls are decorated in nautical fashion and fishing gear, it always makes me feel like I'm on vacation even if it's just a quick lunch with family. Escaping the wildfires, brought us to this town. This popular local restaurant is out on the pier. There are plenty of outdoor picnic benches to dine at, And a charming boardwalk to walk along the rows of fishing boats. The Halibut Fish & Chips are so good, we hardly tried anything else on their menu. Be aware that the clam chowder is a cross between Mo's and creamy potato soup. You have to love potato soup. Probably one of the better restaurants in Garibaldi. It's never typically busy here but I could never understand why. Fishermen's Korner serves the most simple, classic but delicious fish and chips. The menu choices were a decent amount and was moderately priced. We ordered a breaded and deep-fried seafood dish with a decent amount of fish and other seafood items. It was served with fries and two dipping sauces. The seafood was very tasty and had just the right amount of breading. I'm super picky with fish and was really nervous it wouldn't be good and hit the spot, and let me tell you it did not disappoint! I ate here on Sunday. It was terrible. Even though they're right on the wharf, they don't serve fresh seafood. Everything is low quality and prepackaged. They give small portions for a HUGE price. I couldn't justify paying $20 for 3 small pieces of fish, so I ordered a cheeseburger. It was dry, had no flavor, and I had to ask for mayonnaise, mustard, and ketchup to make my own sauce. The worst part was that the Asian proprietress asked me 3 times if I wanted french fries with my burger. Of course I said yes. When the bill came, she had charged me an additional $3 for the french fries! Unbelievable!!! She then pointed to some tiny writing on the menu that stated fries were an additional $3 charge, but she never pointed that out while I was ordering! DO NOT EAT HERE! read more

Went here for a lunch/dinner ... nice place well kept... the waitress was nice ... the food selection was good... I chose the clam chowder it was good a lil runny... I also ate the halibut and prawn basket... the fish was so good and the prawns were a good size and tasty also... I definitely ate way to much but couldn't leave anything on the plate... I wish I had taken a picture of the food, but honestly as soon as I took a bite I couldn't stop it was so good. I got the 2 piece fish and chips. They served up some sea bass and being next to the harbor I am pretty sure it was fresh. That mixed with their tartar sauce and coleslaw was delicious.
