Such a great spot! My partner and I were visiting Tillamook and decided to go down to Jandy for a quick bite before our drive back to Portland. We got seated immediately after another party left. The staff sanitized everything of course. Everyone was friendly and attentive. We ordered 2 dozen oysters for just us two! Oysters were so fresh and the chipotle hot sauce was soooo good on them! We took a bottle home and I definitely added the sauce to eggs this morning. We also tried to order the steamed Manila clams, but they had just sold out. What a delightful surprise on our day trip to Tillamook. I had the fish and chips which were the best that I can recall eating. They used panko for the fish which and were also the least greasy fried fish I've experienced. They also make their tartar sauce which was super yummy as well as offering hand cut French fries. Best smoked oysters I've ever had!! All of the food is great:) The service is usually friendly, only had one time that it was off, but everyone has a bad day and it certainly wasn't bad enough to discourage anyone to come to this establishment!! What a gem! The bar area is basically in their operations warehouse. In a semi-residential neighborhood so we almost missed it. Very clean facilities, everyone was wearing a mask. Oysters were so fresh and reasonably priced. We had a dozen shucked there with a beer. They were so perfectly briny and smooth, tucked in a little "bathtub" for slurping. On a joy ride to the coast and found this place. Initially came because we saw they had grilled oysters. However that's only on Saturday. We had fish and chips and clam chowder. Delish! The fish was fresh halibut and chips were lightly coasted fries. The chowder was excellent. They are kind of off the beaten path, but would recommend you checking them out. We visited Jandy Oyster on our quick day trip to Tillamook. The restaurant is just outside of town, and in a very cute old building with a nice open interior and a patio out back. We arrived around 2 p.m. and had no wait for a table. The food comes out fast, and it's good. We particularly enjoyed the oysters, which were super fresh and briney, and just lovely with a squeeze of lime juice. The shrimp cocktail was more ceviche-style than a standard cocktail, but it was tasty. And the tacos were solid, with a nice dill tartar sauce. Over a period of two weeks, we dined at Jandy twice. There is limited picnic table seating outside, and we were lucky to get there the first time, but had to eat indoors the second time due to no outside tables being free. First meal, I had the Po Boy Oyster sandwich, which was delightful. Great oysters on a bun, creamy sauce and coleslaw, and a bag of Kettle chips. Truly remarkable "mouth-feel", impressive. The second visit, the same sandwich was drippy, not creamy, and generally a more sloppy presentation. Disappointing. Our clam chowder was simply a waste of money! Basically potato soup with butter and very few slivers of clams. At $12 for 24 oz. roughly, we felt a bit exploited! Verdict overall: inconsistent. Very friendly staff, but you do expect more from the prices. read more

Best ever fresh fish tacos!! Seriously! They are a served with fresh chunks of avocado, a perfect sauce, and a side amazing rice. My husband loves the Jacob. It's a dozen oysters topped with havarti cheese, garlic, butter, bacon, hot sauce and fresh crab-barbecued in a special cast iron pan! Total show-stopper! Not to mention, they have the friendliest staff around! And, after we eat we love taking a stroll through the beautiful grounds, and usually end up with a couple plants or even trees to take home.
