I really enjoyed this place. Due to location, we chose to eat here. We stayed at the attached hotel. We ordered breakfast food. Portions were quite small for the pricepoint. It is Hollywood so we were prepared for the price. Just wish we got more for the pricetag. Loved the ambience. Our server was attentive and quite quick with our order. Not sure we would dine here unless we stayed at this hotel again. For the price of one meal, I could buy a normal coffee and meal somewhere else. If you are looking for a luxury breakfast, this may be the place for you.

Stopped in before a show for a late breakfast early lunch. Ambiance is bright and airy, restaurant was on the smaller side. Prices were high, but it is comprobable to the area and given that this spot caters most to tourists staying at the hotel. Service was good and food was also tasty.

The Pizzas are quite good. They don't skimp on the toppings. They are made fresh in their pizza oven. Really liked the Peppe pizza with wild mushrooms. The light drizzle of honey really elevated the flavors. Service was friendly and fast.

We had a phenomenal experience at Jane Q! Made a reservation for a Monday evening (yes, they're actually open Monday evenings despite the hours on Google/Yelp)! Call them! Great for large groups. We had the place all to ourselves at this time and the staff went above and beyond to serve us! They were very friendly and helpful. We ordered a rosé and a white wine, both very good. My favorite was the wine of the month from OPP by sommelier André Mack. Then we split several entrees: Pepp Pizza, Heirloom Garden Pizza, Cacio e Pepe Gnocchi, Bucatini All' Carbonara, Mixed Greens Salad, Caesar Salad, and my favorite - the Stracciatella!! Despite being a steep price for bread ($19), the Stracciatella is a dish I will crave for years to come!!! It is a fluffy soft and buttery bread with a perfectly salty mozzarella dip. I could've just ordered this and been more than content!! The pastas were also really good - perfectly al dente. The Carbonara was my favorite with cheesy thick cut noodles and chunks of pecorino. I only got to try one of the pizzas and it was fresh with a good flavor and a crispy crust, but if I had to pick I would go with pasta over pizza here. The mixed green salad was delicious with a sour kick from the vinaigrette. The Caesar was pretty standard but with freshly toasted bread instead of normal croutons. Every part of the meal felt like it was made with care and we had a great time!! Upstairs there is another bar with a lot of lounge seating and pool tables as well as restrooms. We parked in a nearby parking garage which was convenient. Try Jane Q the next time you're in Hollywood!!! Would be a fun event venue as well. Thank you all!

We had a limited amount of time (little over an hour) to get something to eat before a pantages show. This place was conveniently located within a 5 min walk to the theater and their menu looked enticing. It's quite large, probably due to its attachment to the hotel. But seemed like there was a second floor seating. Walking in from the street (argyle), it felt awkward since there wasn't a clearly designated area to check in. We waited by the end of a counter where a menu was located. After a few minutes, a waiter noticed us and asked if we were ordering to go. So even now, I'm not sure if we walked in through the right door but he was able to sit us at a table. It was pretty empty in this hotel restaurant. The menu we had been looking at earlier was for breakfast/lunch. Honestly, it looked more appealing to me then the dinner options. The staff was friendly and even the chef checked in on us. I appreciated when they acknowledged that our meals were taking a while to come out. I thought the prices were a bit up there. For example, the one rosè wine glass was $19. The pizza was hand-made and my partner enjoyed the charred flavor. My shrimp pasta was good but $29 seemed a bit steep. I personally would have preferred less pepper and more sauce. I'll probably come back to try the brunch menu- the Benedictine shrimp & grits caught my eye.

Wow! Love the Kimpton Everly as our "go-to" for concert trips to L.A. and YES the breakfast at the hotel makes it SO worth staying put for your morning meal. Charming decor, open and bright space. Service was amazing - Gina was on the spot with wonderful attention to the details and thoughtful recommendations outshone only by her smile. Haniq was a wonderful support whenever we needed the littlest thing and Gina was working hard for the busy crowd. Props too for true manager who welcomed us - demonstrating solid multi-tasking talent! To paraphrase General MacArthur - WE WILL BE BACK!

I have been a Jane Q customer since their opening and I hadn't been into eat there in quite sometime. Over the years and through the pandemic with the change over I think the restaurant lost their way but Wow! I went in tonight just for convenience and had their shrimp bucatini....Jane Q is back!! The chefs are nailing it. As soon as the server set the dish in front of me I knew - this is going to taste delicious. Glad to have them back!

A great casual place to eat before seeing a play at the Pantages. The menu for dinner had a good selection of pastas, pizza and salads. There is lots of seating and a long family-style table. We had the bianco pizza pie and pomodoro pasta ... it was excellent! We took our wine upstairs to finish in the lobby of the Kimpton Hotel. They also serve Lamill coffee. We'll definitely be back.

Jane Q who are you?! Inside the Kimpton Everly Hotel. 2 storied high ceiling with a sized matched front window made this open space a nice wake up welcoming every morning! Delicious breakfast daily ~ well thought out menu made every item interesting and curious to try. Everything tasted so good! Not just fanciful description in the menu but simple food cooked simply well. Enjoyed the morning smilely service despite drowning in the tidal wave of guests. Poised & professional. Not often see this in a hotel restaurant. This is a spotlight for the Kimpton hotel.

This is a great hang out location. It's so spacious upstairs and they have so many areas to sit. I enjoyed the atmosphere it's such a cool vibe. They have live music, some games, and a pool table for entertainment. They have good food ( a little pricey 30 dollars for Macha (not a fan of this one) , meatballs, and breadsticks) The service was fast but they didn't really clear off upstairs tables. 8.5/10

Inside the Kimpton Everly Hotel, but with a street entrance separate from the hotel entrance so if you are not staying at the hotel, you do not have to walk through the hotel to get there. We came for lunch. I got the chicken sandwich and an iced matcha. The chicken sandwich was yummy, but small, especially for the cost. The iced matcha was good. My friend got the pizza which she said was good. Cute space and well lit. We enjoyed a leisurely lunch. Not a bad spot to go before the Pantages theater if you are in the area, though it is a little bit of a walk. Prices to be expected given it's in a hotel and in Hollywood, but will likely keep me from coming back frequently. Would return though with that in mind. Worth checking out.

We had the opportunity to eat here twice since we were staying at the Kimpton. The first day we tried their lunch menu, we had the pepperoni and the margherita pizza and they were ok. My kids enjoyed them, but I wasn't very impressed, so I ended up ordering a greens salad and that was better than expected. Simple but tasty. The second day, we tried their breakfast menu, my kids had the New York bagel and I had the avocado toast and coffee, that was delicious! We had the same waiter both days and he was amazing! This is a great idea if you don't want to go any further.

I stopped there for a cup of drink before watching Hamilton in the theatre. The sunset cast a layer of beautiful golden light to the second floor. I was a bit undecided about which drink to order and then the bar tender offered to make me one. It's refreshing!

Ask the Community - Jane Q

    Is there a parking lot?

No, the only onsite parking is valet and it is not included in the room rate. There are public parking areas nearby that you can use then walk to Jane Q.

Will the restaurant be opened on Christmas Day?

    Usually is.

    Are dogs allowed?

The Kimpton allows dogs with open arms, Jane q is a restaurant; health code rules still apply, but obviously honor pups with "service" credentials:)

Everything was fine. Bartender is awesome. We sat at a booth for 2 hrs, paid our bill, then walked to Boardners at 1am. I quickly realized I had no wallet and must've left it at Power House - so walked my way back at around 1:20am. The Door Man, who had previously been a completely chill and nice dude, began screaming at a man behind me to "get the F--- out of here." I turn and see it was a very drunk patron who I recognized had been in the bar earlier. He then turned to me and screamed in my face to also "get the f--- out of here." I came to find out that patron had been kicked out and possibly had altercation with the Door Man Eric. So clearly the Door Man thought I was connected somehow to that random drunk patron. I tried to calmly explain that I did not know that patron and I was only returning because I left my ID/ credit card slim wallet somewhere in the bar. He proceeded to keep shouting that I was lying because they don't hold credit cards there, even though I was saying my entire wallet was somewhere physically in the bar. He then proceeded to say I was too drunk to come in and that I had "bad vibes" and that I was a weirdo and to get the f-- out of here. I continued to try to calmly reason with him, and he suddenly lunged at me as if to attack me - this man has a foot height on me - and I had to jump back off the curb into the street to evade him. I don't like to speculate but I suspect drug use was a factor here. At this point, I pull out my phone and continue to try reasoning - at a distance - but nothing is getting thru - so I go back to Boardners, tell my wife what happened and tell her I need her to try to go in and get my wallet. I followed far enough behind where they he wouldn't see me, but she was in there for a good five minutes, so I got worried. I called her, and then I hear this doorman shouting at my wife. I RUN to the open door where I see him towering over her in aggressive hostility, and I see my WALLET in her hand. We walk away. My wife tells me that they found the wallet where I knew I had left it. When it clicked that this lost wallet must have belonged to me, aka "the weirdo", he told her she was "86'd" there and then called her a "weirdo". When my wife told Eric that she "doesn't come here anyways", he became enraged and grabbed her with both of his arms as if to drag her out. He must've thought better of it and took his arms off when my wife stood called it out, and luckily the bartender was helpful enough to gave up the Door Man's name (hopefully that was an honest answer). I challenge the managers of this bar to review the video footage if there is any that took place outside of the doorway and inside the bar between 1am and 1:45. And to retain that footage.

Shirley Brasserie, the restaurant referred to above, is also located in The Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel (located next to The Lobby). The "iconic" they refer to is the fact that this hotel is historic -- it was built in 1926 during the Golden Era of Los Angeles architecture. It is named after Theodore Roosevelt. The first Academy Awards (Oscars) was held here in 1929. The hotel had its ups and downs since then but currently it looks beautiful and thriving. Take your out-of-state visiting friends/relatives to this place. Because this is a big part of "Hollywood". I recommend The Lobby to hang out after a long day's work or after a nice dinner nearby. This is where my sister and I went after our dinner at Musso and Frank. My sister ordered their Espresso Martini which was really good. I had a beer. Our server wasn't as warm as the ones during my visit in 2023. I think she was an introvert or a bit of a nervous person. But she did not seem potentially horrible. Restroom: I did not go to the restroom this time. I think there was a line. But I remember back in 2023 that you had to ask for a key or a code. Which is understandable for this area. Parking: I recommend the valet parking. If validated, the fee is really reasonable (I forgot how much they charged). We got ours validated because we ordered those drinks from The Lobby.

Once I returned with my drinks to the table, we watched as every new party that arrived struggled to get served or get attention or menus of any kind. The existing parties that were there also did not receive service and the used tables were left unattended to and not cleared. The 2 bar lobby staff that were "working" the floor that night on duty that night need to be fired and replaced with folks that actually feel like working. Unacceptable service. The bad: The host was extremely unprofessional and un-accommodating of my family's request. She has black hair with a streak of grey/silver hair I believe. While we had 2 different 2 person reservations, we asked if we could sit together since I don't get to see my parents often now that I live out of state and it was my birthday. We understand this isn't a request that can be always accommodated, but we were willing to wait to sit together. The host said this was not possible and we accepted sitting at 2 different tables. When my parents were sat, we noticed an empty table next to them. My father then asked the host if we could move and she refused, saying she isn't sure if rid totally sanitized and it would take a very long time for it to be cleaned by staff. She then walked away from us while rolling her eyes and cussing under her breath while walking right past my table. Even my father noticed this!! We understood, but a minute later a staff came and fully cleaned the table. Our waitress came to introduce herself and we requested to be moved once more, and she said of course and had us move immediately to be next to my parents :) Big shoutout to her! Again, I'd understand if the restaurant was busy and packed, but after us I saw no one sat at the 2 person table we were initially sitting at and the entire restaurant was slowly emptying out with not many new parties coming in... The host seemed to have extreme anger issues and lack of professionalism that I would expect from someone who knows the availability of tables. Now, for the good: The restaurant itself is amazing with great ambiance. I want to thank our awesome waitress and other people working at the restaurant, truly everyone else was great! They were funny, welcoming, and very patient. The food was tasty and we loved the lemonades we ordered. I recommend the pastrami dish from their brunch menu :) I would definitely recommend coming here, but the host at the front who is supposed to "welcome" guests is clearly not doing her job well. It truly left a sour taste in my mouth and I'd likely turn back from the restaurant if I saw her as the host again.

Having this restaurant just two minutes from the Pantages is such a huge plus! The service has been amazing, especially considering I have many food allergies. Our server was incredibly kind, patient, and asked all the right questions, which made me feel comfortable ordering. The cocktails have been excellent, and both times I've ordered the spicy pasta. And when they say spicy, they mean SPICY! I was literally sweating on this 90-degree summer night, but I didn't even care because it was THAT good. This has quickly become my go-to restaurant when I'm heading to a play, or even when I just want a nice rooftop spot to sit, relax, and enjoy some cocktails. And the hummus? SO good. Next time, I'm ordering my own because I definitely don't want to share. I'll absolutely be back and will continue recommending this place to friends!

For my main course, I had the skirt steak, which was cooked perfectly--tender, well-seasoned, and delicious with the green sauce. The homemade tortillas were amazing too. We ended with the Dulce de Leche Panna Cotta, and it was the perfect finish--creamy, smooth, not overly sweet, and so good we practically cleaned the plate. Amazing food, great portions, beautiful atmosphere, and excellent service. Ka'teen definitely delivered. I would absolutely come back again.

What a fun place! Came on a Saturday night and they had a live DJ. We had reservations thankfully…read morebecause this place gets packed. The service was pretty solid but did fall off towards the end. The oxtail was fall off the bone and cooked to perfection. We left no crumbs (with the exception of tres leches - wasn't a fan). Drinks were delicious and strong.
