I was invited to Lemon Grove for my cousin's birthday dinner, and my first impression was how cute the space is. The rooftop setting has a great atmosphere and makes for a fun place to celebrate a special occasion. We used valet parking, but there is also street parking and paid public parking nearby. Since we were a large group, we got to try a good portion of the menu, and honestly, everything we ordered was good. The prices were fair as well, especially considering the location and rooftop experience. The reason I'm taking off a star is the service toward the end of the evening. About 30 minutes before closing, our server kept returning to the table, and we started to feel rushed. He also made a few sarcastic comments that seemed intended as jokes, but they didn't come across that way to our group. Overall, the food, atmosphere, and value were all great. I would definitely consider coming back, but I hope the end-of-service experience is handled a little differently next time.

It's my new favorite spot before a show at the Pantages. Beautiful view from the restaurant and affordable parking! Food is delicious too.

Amazing ambience and the food is just as great! It is located on a rooftop of a hotel so it can be a little bit pricey but it's also located in Hollywood but the food is delicious and they have great cocktails and mocktails! Been here twice but the service the second time wasn't as great as the first time. It seemed as if the server didn't really checked in on us once our food arrived. With that said, food was amazing! I definitely recommend the lemon pasta (my favorite) and the bread and butter for appetizer. I will definitely come back to this place for the views and it is a great place to hang out with friends and loved ones to celebrate a special occasion!

Lemon Grove was a great surprise. I booked it simply because it was near the Pantages Theatre, and I needed convenience. When I arrived, I was surprised that the restaurant is located on the rooftop! It was a combination of an elegant and fun vibe along with the music and the 2 large bars. One bar is out in the open and the second one is in the covered area of the restaurant. So you can sit out and enjoy the sunny weather and views, or you can sit at the covered part of the restaurant. As you enter you will also see a few lemon trees, plants and herbs. You also get a great view of the city. The food choices are unique like the pasta I ordered with a lemon cream sauce. The portions are small, but the food is delicious. The cocktail made with passion fruit was also a hit.

Those rooftop is beautiful. Definitely ask to sit outside, better view and vibe. We started with the mimosa kit which was fun and delivery made it even better. Ordered the chilaquiles, dinosaur kale, crispy duck confit, with a side of bacon. Chilaquiles were perfect not too wet. The duck wasn't gamey flavors very balanced. Dinosaur Kale was so good except for the pomegranate seeds getting stuck in my teeth. If you like your bacon extra crispy then you'll love it.

Randomly came across Lemon Grove when in Hollywood and decided to grab some brunch. It's conveniently located inside the Aster Hotel's rooftop and there were luckily still tables available. We did not have reservations and were still seated promptly. Service was great - Our server Travis was really nice and checked in on us often. Food was delicious! The dishes looked simple but actually packed a lot of flavor. The Pearamount+ cocktail was so tasty. It had no alcoholic taste and was so smooth which made it dangerous. I should've gotten another one. I would totally come back and try other dishes next time.

Great rooftop brunch spot in Hollywood with a relaxed vibe and beautiful views of the Capitol Records Building. The setting feels upscale but still comfortable, perfect for a weekend outing. We enjoyed fresh oysters, a bright kale salad, rich eggs Benedict, and fluffy strawberry pancakes. Everything tasted well prepared and nicely presented. I'd definitely come back

Life always presents unique circumstances and synchronicity. It is hard to explain, but one should simply enjoy. Case in point, my friend and I were going to see Spamalot at the Pantages Theatre, so I wanted to find a restaurant for lunch walking distance before the matinee. We ended up going to Lemon Grove at the Astor hotel, which was an incredible experience. I had never heard of this joint prior to dining there. After posting my review and pictures, I got a very nice response from the manager on Monday and then on Tuesday two very dear friends who are twins invited me to their birthday party that Friday night at the Lemon Grove where one of the sister's daughters is the DJ. We had half of the entire roof for a great party with wonderful friends meeting new people, some DJing and dancing and a marvelous server who remembered not only my name from the prior Sunday, but also that I was gluten intolerant and brought me a menu I could select from while she was taking care of over 50 people. And as you can tell I am so shy and demure to boot. She was fantastic, and the food I ordered: GF Lemon Pasta and 1/2 dozen oysters while sharing the Brussels Sprouts, were all superb. The GF lemon pasta in a pesto sauce did not have any chance to avoid my boca and I left no penne unturned nor uneated. Who says you can't enjoy a place twice in one week and have a great experience both times. It's Déjà vu all over again.

Stopped for brunch and was impressed with the layers and the beautiful views. Service was great and vibe was trendy. We split the eggs Benny which was good but the true star was that incredible warm and delicious coffee cake. It was pure heaven.

Such a cute spot for brunch! Our table enjoyed the oysters, shrimp, and the complimentary sourdough bread with butter. I ordered the steak and potatoes along with the cactus drink made with tequila instead of mezcal, and everything was absolutely delicious. It was a bit quiet for a Sunday brunch, but aside from that, no complaints. The staff was friendly, and I loved that it's a rooftop. I would absolutely go back! We also took the cutest picture in the photo booth and loved the lemon trees such a chic and charming place. Perfect for brunch with your girlfriends or a romantic date!"

Great place to visit if you're going to a show at the Pantages. Valet parking is available and your car can be left at the restaurant while you walk to the Pantages after dinner. Excellent service and beautiful rooftop views! My go to drink has been the Cactus Flower; it can be a bit too sweet, but you can ask the server to adjust it a bit with a little more mezcal! I usually order the burrata caprese because it is flavorful and light and a great start to dinner. I love Thai food, so I usually order the lemon pasta, which has nothing to do with a lemon citrus flavor, by the way! One time I added chicken to this pasta dish and didn't enjoy it as much as the pasta itself. Their dessert menu hasn't been updated so ask your server for dessert options. Tip: make a reservation in advance.

Great rooftop restaurant option especially when going to the Pantages to watch a show. We had a 615pm reservation for an 8pm show so we were not rushed. They have valet for $30 but also several parking lots within the area. Loved the vibe. Located on the 6th floor in a hotel called The Asher. Indoor and outdoor seating. There was a bar adjacent to the restaurant so had good music to listen to without it being too loud. We ordered the burrata for our appetizer which was a great start with some cocktails and then wanted to try their signature lemon pasta. I was apprehensive at first as it just didn't sound like lemon and pasta were a great combination. Surprised how good it tasted and it was a very pretty plate. Also got the short rib rigatoni which I actually liked much better though. Our waitress was very friendly and prompt. When we initially ordered we told her we were watching a show so she made sure to keep the meal on track so we had enough time to walk over which was about a two minute walk less than a block away.

This review is for brunch only. Lemon Grove is such a vibe. The rooftop views are incredible. Seriously, check out the photos other Yelpers have posted. The views are iconic LA, u can literally see the Hollywood sign and Capitol Records Tower while sipping your mimosa. The whole place hits that perfect balance between laid back and stylish. It's ideal for lazy weekends when you want to brunch somewhere cute without going full "dress to impress," but also not roll up in diner casual. The drinks are spot on, the bar team knows what they're doing. And the food is so good. Every dish we ordered hit the mark. This is exactly the kind of brunch that makes staying disciplined all week worth it, just so you can go all in come Saturday or Sunday. Every bite was flavorful and totally satisfying. LA has no shortage of vibey brunch spots, but Lemon Grove definitely earns its spot in our regular rotation.

It's a lounge in every sense -- bigger than you'd expect, lots of armchairs and cushions, low tables, and just enough dim lighting (one small lamp per table) to set the mood. We showed up around 6:30pm on a Saturday and it was pretty empty, which honestly made for a lovely, relaxed start to the evening. A heads up if you're coming with a vegetarian: the food menu is limited, and vegetarian options are slim. There were really only three when we visited: * Sfincione All'Aglione: garlic knot-style bread, tasty but I actually prefer the sfincione over at Mother Wolf * Frittatina alla Norma: rigatoni-style lasagne cut into fried squares, served with sauce. A fun concept, but mostly tasted like the breading and fried flavor. * Fried squash blossoms: we skipped these Our waiter did offer an off-menu margherita pizza for my vegetarian friend, which was a nice touch. As a non-vegetarian, I had the hamburger - usually a Thursday-only item that they extended through Mother's Day weekend - and while it was good (hot, crunchy fries included), $38 felt steep and honestly... at a Roman Italian bar, I'd probably just order off the actual menu next time. The cocktails are where this place really shines: * Morso Di Vita: passion fruit forward with tomato and basil -- excellent, would reorder immediately * Robusta: ginger forward, light and refreshing * Sole Dorato: billed as a spicy margarita, served with an adorable little honey stick One tip: ask about dessert! We weren't offered it and almost missed out. So glad we asked because we ended up with: * Budino al gianduia (I think, no photo of dessert menu): amazing. Crunchy bits on top, thick chocolate ganache layer. Get this. * Passion fruit mandarin sorbet: light, tart, refreshing - a great way to finish Service was friendly throughout and the pacing felt easy. Overall I'd go back for the cocktails & vibe and to actually explore the non-vegetarian menu more. Currently on Inkind if you want a discount! Parking: Hollywood meters can be tricky - I'd suggest heading south on Wilcox where you can usually find something a few blocks into the neighborhood. Or just do valet and enjoy the night.
