I was invited to Lemon Grove for my cousin's birthday dinner, and my first impression was how cute the space is. The rooftop setting has a great atmosphere and makes for a fun place to celebrate a special occasion. We used valet parking, but there is also street parking and paid public parking nearby. Since we were a large group, we got to try a good portion of the menu, and honestly, everything we ordered was good. The prices were fair as well, especially considering the location and rooftop experience. The reason I'm taking off a star is the service toward the end of the evening. About 30 minutes before closing, our server kept returning to the table, and we started to feel rushed. He also made a few sarcastic comments that seemed intended as jokes, but they didn't come across that way to our group. Overall, the food, atmosphere, and value were all great. I would definitely consider coming back, but I hope the end-of-service experience is handled a little differently next time.

Amazing ambience and the food is just as great! It is located on a rooftop of a hotel so it can be a little bit pricey but it's also located in Hollywood but the food is delicious and they have great cocktails and mocktails! Been here twice but the service the second time wasn't as great as the first time. It seemed as if the server didn't really checked in on us once our food arrived. With that said, food was amazing! I definitely recommend the lemon pasta (my favorite) and the bread and butter for appetizer. I will definitely come back to this place for the views and it is a great place to hang out with friends and loved ones to celebrate a special occasion!

Now one of my favorite spots to grab a drink or bite before a show! Cute rooftop spot with a little garden as well. Lots of tables and two bar areas as well. The staff were friendly and helpful in giving great suggestions especially when they didn't have a drink we originally wanted. Good variety of lemonade options and love that you can have it as a sparkling version. Got the hummus for a little snack and it was the perfect little bites.

Brunch this morning, service was very attentive and friendly. Gorgeous rooftop And the food was flavorful. I ordered the mushroom scramble and shared the lemon pancakes with my table. Definitely would go back

Randomly came across Lemon Grove when in Hollywood and decided to grab some brunch. It's conveniently located inside the Aster Hotel's rooftop and there were luckily still tables available. We did not have reservations and were still seated promptly. Service was great - Our server Travis was really nice and checked in on us often. Food was delicious! The dishes looked simple but actually packed a lot of flavor. The Pearamount+ cocktail was so tasty. It had no alcoholic taste and was so smooth which made it dangerous. I should've gotten another one. I would totally come back and try other dishes next time.

Those rooftop is beautiful. Definitely ask to sit outside, better view and vibe. We started with the mimosa kit which was fun and delivery made it even better. Ordered the chilaquiles, dinosaur kale, crispy duck confit, with a side of bacon. Chilaquiles were perfect not too wet. The duck wasn't gamey flavors very balanced. Dinosaur Kale was so good except for the pomegranate seeds getting stuck in my teeth. If you like your bacon extra crispy then you'll love it.

    Ricotta Agnolotti with grilled chicken

The food was delicious, and I really enjoyed eating outside near the garden area. I would definitely visit again. The hummus was phenomenal, and the ricotta agnolotti was absolutely delicious. I wasn't a huge fan of the apple cake dessert, but overall, the food was really good. Service was attentive, and the restrooms were exceptionally clean and even smelled amazing. The only negative experience was with the valet service. When we first arrived, the valet told us it would be around $16. After we finished at the Pantages and walked back to The Aster, which is directly below the restaurant, we were told the valet fee was $30 (usually around $50 without validation). We spoke up and explained that the person who parked our car had quoted us around $16. While we were trying to discuss the price inconsistency with the valet cashier, I unknowingly had my phone near the card reader and was charged the full $30. Her response was, "Oh, sorry, you already paid." We walked away frustrated because of the attitude and lack of customer service in that moment. She didn't offer to refund the difference or reverse the transaction. The money itself isn't the issue--it's the principle. If a customer is given a specific price by staff, that price should be honored. I would suggest that management make sure all valet staff are on the same page regarding pricing so situations like this don't happen. Aside from the valet issue, we had a really enjoyable experience and would happily return for the food and atmosphere.

The lemon pesto pasta was decent, but the steak frites were disappointing. Steak was overcooked and overly fatty. The service was not great (our server disappeared for almost an hour). The view was nice, but overall I don't think it's worth the price point and wouldn't return. I will say, the saving grace was the apple turnover dessert which was delicious and very unique with a carrot purée.

I made a reservation for Lemon Grove on a Saturday at 1:15 PM and was seated around 1:30. Despite being short-staffed, the host was absolutely fantastic. He went above and beyond, helping clear tables, bringing us water, and making sure guests were taken care of while the restaurant was clearly stretched thin. After being seated, we waited quite a while for our server. I eventually noticed what I believe was a manager stop by our table to check on us and ask if we had any questions. Since we had been ready to order for some time, I asked if we could simply place our order with her. She was delightful, helpful, and very accommodating. We ordered the Brussels sprouts, breakfast potatoes, dinosaur kale salad, chicken sandwich, and burger. Everything was flavorful and delicious, but the burger was definitely my favorite. Combined with the beautiful weather and atmosphere, it made for a very enjoyable brunch. The biggest downside was the service speed. Our waiter was incredibly kind, but because the restaurant appeared to be understaffed, he was rarely able to stop by. There were long waits between ordering, receiving food, and getting assistance throughout the meal. It never felt like poor service from the staff themselves--it felt more like a staffing issue. towards the end, I had to remind the waiter that we were celebrating a birthday (it was in my notes, and two people in person were also told, but the waiter maybe forgot). When the tab came, I had to remind the waiter that I had already provided payment at the time of arrival. The delays continued when we were leaving. We needed parking validation and waited about 5-10 minutes because the host had stepped away and there was no one else available to assist. By the time we left, parking had cost us $33 for roughly 2.5 hours. Overall, the food, atmosphere, host, and manager were excellent, and the staff who were there worked hard under difficult circumstances. Had staffing been planned a little better, I suspect this would have been an easy 5-star experience and our visit would have taken closer to an hour or hour and a half instead of stretching much longer. Hopefully management addresses the staffing challenges, because the restaurant itself is definitely worth visiting.

Stopped by this rooftop before seeing Phantom of the Opera, and it was the perfect place to grab a drink while waiting for our dinner reservation. The rooftop has a great view of the Hollywood Sign and the Capitol Records Building, which made it feel like such a classic Hollywood night. The atmosphere was relaxed, the drinks were good, and the service was friendly. It was the perfect spot to unwind before heading to the Pantages. I'd definitely recommend it if you're looking for a casual rooftop with iconic views before a show or dinner.

Great rooftop brunch spot in Hollywood with a relaxed vibe and beautiful views of the Capitol Records Building. The setting feels upscale but still comfortable, perfect for a weekend outing. We enjoyed fresh oysters, a bright kale salad, rich eggs Benedict, and fluffy strawberry pancakes. Everything tasted well prepared and nicely presented. I'd definitely come back

It's a cute rooftop with decor of lemon trees which you can pick a lemon to take home! The staff was great and very engaging. Our food and drinks came out very quick. As a vegetarian, they had multiple options for food. They will also customize the meal to your dietary needs which I loved. The only thing I was not a fan of was their desert. We had a chocolate cupcake and it was dry.

Stopped for brunch and was impressed with the layers and the beautiful views. Service was great and vibe was trendy. We split the eggs Benny which was good but the true star was that incredible warm and delicious coffee cake. It was pure heaven.

Everyone seemed to enjoyed their food from the birrar tacos, shrimp taco plate, someone else ordered the soup and the street corn all were decent portions (sorry no photos of those, the person who ordered it was a bit uncomfortable with me taking their drink pic, so I didn't bother to ask with his food, too.) The enchilada looks delicious as well. Everyone ate their mains and had plenty of beans and rice left over. We didn't take any since we had to catch a movie but if you're at rhe Ovation for dinner or brunch on the weekends, I highly recommend this place for some Mexico City style cuisine.

Shirley Brasserie, the restaurant referred to above, is also located in The Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel (located next to The Lobby). The "iconic" they refer to is the fact that this hotel is historic -- it was built in 1926 during the Golden Era of Los Angeles architecture. It is named after Theodore Roosevelt. The first Academy Awards (Oscars) was held here in 1929. The hotel had its ups and downs since then but currently it looks beautiful and thriving. Take your out-of-state visiting friends/relatives to this place. Because this is a big part of "Hollywood". I recommend The Lobby to hang out after a long day's work or after a nice dinner nearby. This is where my sister and I went after our dinner at Musso and Frank. My sister ordered their Espresso Martini which was really good. I had a beer. Our server wasn't as warm as the ones during my visit in 2023. I think she was an introvert or a bit of a nervous person. But she did not seem potentially horrible. Restroom: I did not go to the restroom this time. I think there was a line. But I remember back in 2023 that you had to ask for a key or a code. Which is understandable for this area. Parking: I recommend the valet parking. If validated, the fee is really reasonable (I forgot how much they charged). We got ours validated because we ordered those drinks from The Lobby.
