Walked in on a slow Sunday night and was pleasantly surprised at how relaxed, and unpretentious this place is. When I walked DJ Raul Campos was spinning great house grooves and a very friendly bartender. So speakeasy feel, with a wide range of types of people. Spoke to a patron who was also a DJ, and spoke about how remixes are created. Raul was very gracious and went out of his way to hang out with me and make me feel warm and welcome. Needless to say I look forward to spending a lot of times grooving to the sounds and very reasonable drinks. read more

Love this cool and hip bar. Great music, great drinks and great atmosphere! Came here after a wonderful concert at the Hollywood bowl. I love the signed albums on the wall (especially Adele). Be warned, parking is hard to find at this bar, but this place is worth it. The bartenders are extremely knowledgeable and their spirit selection is strong AF. How many places do you know carry Taiwanese whiskey?? I recommend the gin martini extra dry and any variation of the old fashioned or Manhattan. We come here because the bathroom is supposed to be haunted. No joke, pretty much the ONLY reason. I have never felt like I'm annoying someone more than when I order a drink here. It's like it physically pains these guys to make you an obscenely overpriced vodka soda. I paid $17 for a Tito's and soda (because that was apparently all they had) and the bartender had the nerve to cop an attitude like I was inconveniencing HIM. Krampus Cove was a fun way to celebrate the holidays. They put on a fun interactive show with a few games. We tried the Santa Slay drink... which I don't recommend ( weird combo of coconut and peppermint) that wasn't balanced well. Overall this was a fun experience. read more

I went bar hopping with a couple friends a few weeks ago and we stopped in here for a drink and we were surprised at how beautiful it was and how great the drinks were! We sat down at one of the tables and looked at the menu to get our drinks while the wonderful bartender brought us some water and gave us some recommendations on the drinks. I settled on the Penny Benjamin cocktail which was absolutely fantastic. The gin mixed with the fresh blackberry shrub and the bianco vermouth gave off a refreshing taste while being a little on the sweeter side which I personally prefer. My friends got the Last of the Oaxcans and the Jack Rose and they enjoyed their cocktails as well! I could tell the bartenders love working here and they were always pleasant to talk to and they make sure your drinks are perfect! I highly recommend coming to Lost Property if you want a great cocktail and a nice place to hang out and relax for an hour or two. You will enjoy the nice atmosphere and the vibes from staff are top-notch. read more

Been here twice now, the last one 10/2 and they had transformed the bar into a Halloween specific pop up bar! Super cool. I like that this place changes and think it might be where a holiday bar is too post Halloween. So this review is specific for the current Halloween pop up--- Really strong specialty drinks! Had Lilith's drink and was like wheeeewie burns like hell would. Also had the drink that came in a $40 haunted mermaid mug which is for sale and I wanted to see. Pretty creepy and I loved it. They had to take my ID tho so I don't walk out with the mug. Even though there were...maybe 6-8 people in the whole place. Cool dark spooky vibes with decorations everywhere including the bathrooms. Red Rum and Murder painted on all the walls to the bathroom. I wanted to go again just to read more of the messages. Very dim lighting, which works for Halloween. So just expect that. Soon I'll be old enough where I'll need to turn on my phone's camera to read the menu in that kinda lighting. Convenient location and both times I've been there pre show at the theaters down the block it hasn't been super busy. I don't know if that's a good thing for their business but it was great for me and the people who came with me each time. read more

Excellent place to check out, cocktail bar, open door and easy access to bathroom, good airflow and ventilation. When door is open. If I could give this bar more than 5 stars I would!! I highly recommend this place. The two bartenders were kind, authentic and hospitable. Me and my girlfriends stopped by before a concert at the Fonda (which is walking distance) and had such a positive experience that we decided to stop by one more time after the show! They serve cucumber water which was very refreshing and tasteful. They have a large selection of really anything you want, drink wise. I'm originally from Nashville, TN and one thing I hold near to my heart is southern hospitality. THIS place had it in the midst of a big city which was just what I needed that night. This review is for the Tinseltown "popup Christmas bar" inside Lost Property Bar. We paid $51.30 for two of us to enter this bar "event". Do NOT waste your time with buying this ticket when you can enjoy the (limited) decor during regular hours with a whole helluva lot less people. They oversold tickets for this event and about 15 people were left standing. Who does that?! If I buy a ticket to enter an event I expect a seat. Ridiculous. The drinks were okay, but they were serving these cocktails after the event was over so I see absolutely no point in buying a ticket to this event. What really ticks me off were the photos used for advertising this event on social media. They were NOT of this venue and much of the decor was quite cheap looking. The bar itself is nice and I would definitely come any other time. Just avoid this gimmick of Tinseltown all together. read more

Sooooo... we were thirsty and wanted to take our masks off. It was late afternoon and this place was open right off of Hollywood Blvd. touristy area. Before we were allowed in, a guy wearing a mask that did not cover his nose was schooling us on where we had to where a mask inside. But like I said, we were thirsty and the place was not busy (which we liked) so we went in anyway. We ordered 2 beers - the IPA and Lager on tap. As you can see from the photo... which I had yet to take a drink... the Lager was filled up HALF way. Maybe 2/3rds of the way at best. It was so bizarre. I was not in the mood to get into a confrontation, maybe that is how they do it here? The IPA was full up, with a nice head. The guy literally pulling the beer could not have missed that he was giving me a 60% full glass. $16 bucks for them both. BUT I give them 2 stars because the vibe inside was cool... very airy and plenty of spacing. Clean bathrooms. Obviously we only had one drink! read more

The upside: This is a great although quaint space, especially because I like those unmarked, kinda hidden type LA bars, and this one is exactly that. The downside is that once I walked in... 1. they didn't have a bartender behind the bar which is never good for a bar and the 10 minutes that we were there no bar tender came out 2. there was no DJ at the DJ stand. So aside from the doorman outside and the three patrons inside who didn't notice is at all, no one greeted or served us. Apparently one thing that Lost Property needs to find is some hospitality. At this point it's not a well run bar. However, all that being said, I will be back because I really like the space, I think it's clever and on a more popular night there might be a bit more patronage and hospitality happening. If you can get here when it's quiet, ask the bartenders to make you a drink of their own creation. They are SO TALENTED and know their flavors!! Truly delicious, special drinks. Other pro tip: Halloween here is off the charts. Even in early October when I came here, people were dressed in full costume, the bar was decorated to the tens, and they had a full halloween menu with spooky themed drinks. Absolutely phenomenal. I've heard they are selling tickets for Halloween this year, which is a bit sus to me (to pay to get into a bar), but I can't judge without experiencing it. Just know there's not a whole lot of space, so if you're going when it's busy, it's prob best to have a backup plan of where to go if it's too crowded. read more

Good food, great drinks, and a fun, lively vibe. My husband is always looking for fun and unique bars for date night, and this one was an adventure experience. The Whiskey Sour and pretzel ihad were on point. It can get pretty loud and full, so if you want to avoid the masses, you go on the earlier side when they first open. Nice enough place ... if you can get in. They have very erratic hours and it's sometimes closed for a private event (birthday party, etc.) without prior notice. So you will often find the door locked. They tell you, "We'll be open in a few minutes," but 45 minutes later they tell you,"We'll be open at 9." Life is too short do deal with this kind of BS. Fortunately, there are a few other bars nearby that are more receptive to paying customers. read more

I went to the Lost Property Bar today (Sunday, 11/28) for their tinsel Christmas "experience". The "experience" was paying $22 to drink in a bar with some Christmas decorations and an "elf" wearing an old navy sweatsuit. But whatever. My main issue was when I went up to the bar to get a drink. Most drinks were in the high teen price range, but I ordered a drink that cost $26 (a French 75). The bartender (some man in a ponytail) looked at me and said, "are you cool with the price?"...EXCUSE ME? How incredibly insulting. My friend who ordered right before me ordered three drinks at around $18 each, but I order one $26 cocktail and I get asked if I can afford it? The audacity. He shouldn't have asked me that even if I ordered 20 cocktails at that price. He added a grey cloud over an already mediocre time. read more
