Long wait, and were the only customers, got home with food, and was very disappointed. Lobster had no taste,waffle was salty, catfish was very salty,jerk wings were horrible. Very nice place. Very clean, bright, and open. The staff were so friendly- felt like family. The food was amazing! We had a fried chicken basket and a catfish basket. It was, very literally, the best catfish I have ever had. Very clean and mild. We ordered the baskets, rather than the dinners. The 'small' portion is the baskets .... HA! Unprofessional. Lack of quality control is an issue. Nobody should be serving rice that looks like that, let alone tastes like that-A mound of flavorless mush. Price point is astronomical all things considered. Have called several Saturday mornings to be told there's no oxtail- like whet? Where they do that at??? Pretty sure the owner actually works there, and served my food, so I can't figure out why you'd put that rice on somebody's plate. I'm real upset about that f'kin rice bruh. Came here with some friends on a recommendation - I was immediately impressed and knew I was in for an amazing meal when I saw a grill sitting just outside the restaurant, smoking meat. Upon entering, one of the servers pushed together some tables for my group and we were given a very casual but super friendly and energetic service. The interior of the restaurant is very clean and modern, with a lot of fun paintings as decor, and the tables are well spaced out! They were out of a few items but the servers were gracious and attentive the entire time, checking in and making sure we were getting all of our orders done perfectly. On to the food itself, I cant put into words how INCREDIBLE the food was. Literally everyone needs to try this place immediately. Every item I tried was super flavorful and PERFECTLY cooked. The fried catfish has a perfect crispy outside texture, and the inside was tender and moist and DELICIOUS. I also got their Mac and cheese and collard greens, both of which are hands down the best I've ever had - my friend who doesn't even like Mac and cheese was raving about it! I also loved their festivals - a thick donut-like treat with powdered sugar and honey - they went really well with the meal! And I also recommended trying one of the Jamaican sodas, I got the Champagne Kola and it really paired well with my food. Overall this was a 10/10 experience and I can't recommend the food enough, everyone should come here! I cant wait to come back and try out more of their menu!! read more

Need to have a menu describing what's in the dish. Clean restrooms and environment. Menu changes daily. It's very family oriented. It's a new business. Would of like to know prices on food. A new and one of the few restaurants in Tucson that serves Caribbean food. It is definitely different and unique all at the same time. During lunch today my co-worker and I decided to stop by and check out this new gem. We were not disappointed! The inside is very nice and comfortable and the staff...amazing! We were greeted and even given waters while we waited for our to go order. They were so friendly and nice, it felt like they really cared about the food they were producing. It got busy fast so the food took a minute to come out, but we walked in the moment they opened so that's understandable. The jerk chicken was full of flavor and not dry at all. The sides are all homemade and delicious. I did not try the dessert but I should have! The wings were large and incredibly crispy. I tried the D Town sauce and was pleasantly surprised as I am typically a Buffalo person. They also mentioned that on Saturdays they will have Ox Tail! We will be coming back for that for sure. Look at their web page--it clearly says they are closed every day except Sunday for 8 hours. I kid you not, yet yelp has them open every day, yet they seem to be open when they please. So impossible to eat here with no established hours and no menu on their web that has not been changed in 2 years. I want to est there but it helps if the owners are here. This place is clearly still working out the kinks but the food was so delicious on my first visit that I feel comfortable leaving a five-star review. Got the jerk chicken with plantains and mac and cheese as my side (I wanted rice but it was taking longer than expected so I got the Mac and cheese instead - glad I did because it was great)! Everything was full of flavor - jerk chicken was perfectly spiced without being overly salted and plantains were among the best I've had. I'm excited to try the other items on the menu and see what new dishes they try. It's great to have more diversity in Tucson's local cuisine, especially close to the Air Force base. The restaurant has great lighting and modern decor. Service was great. I had the jerk chicken salad with goat cheese on a bed of spinach and arugula with a cup of dressing on the side. Saturdays has curry goat and oxtails, which I look forward to trying. Saw a FB post so thought we'd give it a try. Really nice and cheerful inside. Menu is on the chalkboard to your right when you walk in. Each entree comes with 2sides. Sit anywhere you live and a waitress will come take your order. A little confusing since there are no signs that let you know this. Waitresses were all super friendly (special nod to the blonde waitress who has the most infectious, beautiful smile). Wait staff did seem a little confused as to who was doing what and when; which in turn confused the cooks. Both my partner and I had the fried chicken; sides were potato salad, sweet potato mash and Mac and cheese. Chicken was good, skin crispy and light, pieces cut weird which may be why it was slightly over done. Needed heaps more seasoning. Sweet potato mash was light, fluffy, mapley (Pamism), delicious dream (would take a bath in it). Potato salad tad bit more liquidy than normal but flavorful. Mac and cheese was good, definitely homemade but a bit dry and again needed heaps more seasoning. We ended up sharing a banana pudding. Holy cow, I would have started with that; one of the best ones I have ever had. (Ease up on the caramel inside and drizzle with a whisky caramel on top). The ox tails looked amazing as did the catfish. Strange location, hard to see from the road but seek and ye shall find. Wish they were in San Diego. Some of the best caribe/soul food I've had since Georgia. The Catfish is amazing, crisp not oily, TENDER and a good piece of fish. They were out of the collard greens and I was told to try the cabbage, Wow what a surprise, sweet and jerk spicy. I also had the potato, really good. Generous helping, generous service. I got the jerk chicken with sweet potato fries and Mac and cheese. My husband got fried catfish with onion rings and Mac and cheese. The food was so good and had amazing flavorful. We had to wait over 30 minutes for our food. They offered us shrimp and grits while we waited which was so good. It is spicy so beware if you don't like heat. I'm knocking off 1 star because we had to wait so long for our food and had to ask for water refills and napkins and stuff like that. BUT I will totally come back!!
