The ambiance as soon as you walk in is welcoming, inviting, and intimate. Even if you dine outside, you are sure to feel cozy like a meal in your own home. The hostess always makes you feel invited. Any waiter we have had here has given GREAT recommendations so it helps us break free of ordering the same thing over and over. We have never had a single day of bad service here so we have become regulars anytime we travel into the inner loop of Houston for business or fun. The flavors? My goodness the flavor here in every dish truly speaks to whoever is cooking these incredible dishes! We've even wanted to ask what we can do to even get our dishes at home this amazing! Their bang bang sauce is something you can rave about if you like a little kick to your broccoli. Yum! Luckily a lot of the appetizers are family style but we all still end up battling to finish the last bite before our main dish comes along! My husband has never been a vegetable eater and thanks to the Ginger Mule, we are changing up our dishes at home too! Whatever they are doing here, I hope they keep it up because we absolutely LOVE the food here!! Thank you to everyone here and we can't wait to be back!!!!

(My husband and I did a 360 of the building not knowing lol). The decor was earthy, natural boho style. The service was great. Hostess was welcoming, server was kind and the food came out relatively quick. Beautiful presentation and the flavors were yummy of the Texas toast French toast, the oat whipped cream & maple syrup were great. The Jupiter breakfast was $21 & the GF French toast was about $12 with $4 fruit cup. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with my GF French toast. The mock-tail mule was nothing special for $9 of juice :/. In total we spent $58 which is a lot in our opinion. By all means it's not a bad spot and I'm sure other things you are good, but this was just our experience with what we got. There is a statue of a deity in the front of the restaurant & I welcome the Holy Spirit to come upon them all :). May Jesus be with them with eyes to see and ears to hear. There may be other gods but there is only one God, King Jesus Christ Isaiah 43:10-28 God bless

They always have a sample of the Golden Bowl for anyone to taste & it's absolutely my go to dish. All the ingredients work well together in this Golden Bowl. The chicken, jollof rice, veggies, the sweet of the plantain with the spice in the curry makes for a delightfully seasoned bowl. I will admit the spice made my nose run but yet I would only describe it as a "subtle" spicy dish. One day I'll try another dish but for now. That golden bowl speaks to me everytime. I had leftovers & even the next day my taste buds got happy all over again! Never had Nigerian West African food or had it somewhere else, try it here, it's delightful!! The ice cream is a 10/10 with delicious and unique flavors. We love that there's a featured treat each day, and nearly everything we've tried has been incredible. That said, the service has historically been the one downside. In fact, it's been so consistently dismissive, slow, and unfriendly that I've never left a review before. The product was too good for me to stop coming, but I couldn't leave a glowing review while ignoring the service experience. So I never said anything. Last week, however, my best friend and I stopped in for a quick dessert, fully expecting the same experience, and instead we met Laura. Laura was absolutely wonderful. A dessert shop, especially a vegan one, should feel welcoming, joyful, and a little special, and she embodied that energy exactly. She was patient, warm, hospitable, and genuinely kind. Her attitude elevated the entire experience and reminded me how much great service can enhance an already amazing product. I'm hopeful that Laura represents a positive shift in staffing because she completely eliminated the only criticism I've ever had about this place. The desserts have always been exceptional, and with service like hers, this place is truly outstanding.

They are allergen-free and gluten-free for those with sensitivities, and my favorite-- no preservatives and artificial colors or ingredients! Also perfect for families with food allergies. ** S'more's donut (5/5)-- was more like a soft, super moist cake (not complaining, super delish). It had a nice chocolate flavor and sweetness. Not sure how allergen-free, vegan donuts usually taste like, but I totally gobbled this one up! Besides the marshmallow, it was more like a chocolate donut to me, but it was a yummy chocolate donut. ** Ube swirl cookie (3/5)-- their monthly special cookie which was eye-catching. Definitely used ube jam on top, which was all I could taste. I wasn't a fan of this one since it wasn't very sweet, but MT demolished it. The cookie base was a bit dry and crumbly, but I've never had a gluten-free cookie that wasn't. I would try another flavor next time :) The worker at the front was very bubbly and friendly, welcoming any questions we had. A freezer of packed ice cream pints and chocotacos (!), an ice cream case, and a pastry case of their muffins, brownie/blondies, and donuts were available. Luckily, I visited on a Wednesday which is their donut day. Check their website-- cupcakes on Fridays, donut cakes and cookie cakes on Saturdays. Seems like they're super muffins (made with veggies and fruits!) and beanie bars (made with beans and chickpeas) are always available. If lived closer, I'd be visiting regularly to try more donuts and all the other desserts (Choco-taco, I'm coming back for you! ). They are a little on the pricey side for the size, but I think it's worth knowing how clean the ingredients are. Definitely drop in and try something new if you're in the area!
