Easy access off the freeway and worth the stop! We stopped in for pie, but ended up buying a cute Tshirt, decorated sugar cookies for the granddaughters, and coffee from their shop next door. So many beautiful pies to choose from! Plus a freezer case stocked with grab & go meals, a lovely, caring staff and a comfortable setting. My peach pie & coffee were delicious! I only wish I would have brought home a whole pie and a couple meals from the freezer case. Will definitely stop again next time I'm passing through. read more

Top notch food. I ordered the smoothy- peaches n cream mango. Topped with whipped cream. It was perfect. Not too thick or thin and not too sweet. I also has a piece of their cherry pie. The crust has sugar on it and it was delicious. A tad crispy from the sugar. I loved the crust. He had a den or Oliver. He loved the 2 kinds of peppers and small chunks of ham. He wished the onions were cooked a little longer. It wasn't too far off the freeway. It seemed like it was a bit understaffed today. Tables needed to be bussed and service a little slow and staff seemed to be a little frazzled. read more

5+++ stars AMAZING BAKERY This morning I had the opportunity to purchase delicious coffee and bakery goods here. It's so small that you can drive past it very easily. But I will never drive past it again not finding it. Because I now know what an amazing bakery this is and the coffee fabulous. The service perfect. The most important thing about this place was the baked goods lined up for sale in the fridges. I got the chocolate eclair filled with a Bavarian cream, a delicious Mariposa honey fresh brewed coffee, and I bought a pie boysenberry to bring home. All the pies looked so delicious American style like my mom and I make, and old fashioned American like my grandmother used to make. I asked the lady working there were all of these pies baked here and she said they were made at their main café and bakery located in Atwater. This café is by far the best in the top five I have ever gone to. Will definitely return here to get these delicious baked goods. I moved near the area and I have been wanting to try this place after finding it on Google maps. My girl and I finally found time and decided to give it a go. When we got there we were waiting to talk to the host to ask for a table of two. We felt a bit ignored and the staff were looking at us but not saying hi or greeting us. We didn't think much of it, and then the host finally came. The host stared at us blankly, so I asked for a table of two. She said just a minute so we sat down and waited. We overheard her conversation with the people behind us, and they were greeted and told they'd be given a seat soon. After waiting ten minutes, another waiter grabbed the people behind us and sat them down at a table. At this moment we were a bit surprised and shocked, and felt a bit discriminated towards and it was fairly obvious at this point. One of the waiters actually noticed what happened and went to tell the other employee that wasn't okay but she said "I didn't see them oh well", and we could hear their whole conversation from the table by the bakery. Immediately after another waiter let us know a booth would be cleaned immediately for us, but we felt really uncomfortable by some of the staff so we decided to leave. After being treated this way I felt it was just best left and take my money elsewhere. People of Atwater beware . read more

My coworker and I stopped by on a whim and we were not disappointed. The staff are super friendly and welcoming. We had a nice chat with our waitress and had a nice experience with her overall. The food is very reminiscent of homecooked comfort food which was perfect on a wet dreary day. We stopped by the bakery area afterwards and ordered a few pastries to take home. So i ordered to Go for 10 people. Mind you I am not getting served sitting down no one us filling my water I ordered $200 plus food to go and charged me 18% gratuity!!!! I ask a few times and their explanation is for parties 7 or more they will automatically charge 18% i feel like i got robbed $40 on top of my food that i will bring somewhere. This restaurant charges are super absurd. This cafe need to do something and will not ever order from here again. They won't even give you an option to customize your tip. read more

I'm visiting my family here and decided to go out for breakfast after reading some great reviews on yelp. I thought this was a brunch restaurant since there's no time stamp on when they'd stop serving breakfast. We arrived pretty late around 11:30am. There's no host to greet us but there's a sign that says to wait to be seated. After 5 mins, a waitress came to get our name and told us they're behind in the kitchen so wait time is 30mins for our food once we get a table. We were thrilled to have brunch and didn't mind the wait. We finally got a table and was given a lunch menu. Then we realized they've stopped serving breakfast. It was disappointing but we couldn't just leave lol and it took us a while to decide on what we want to ordered, but the food came out pretty good. Overall, service could have improve, maybe they were short staff but it didn't seem like a friendly place. We'd love to go back and try their breakfast menu again before I fly back home. read more
