Me and my wife had breakfast, ordered the ham steak, was so salty I couldn't eat it told the waitress, so another waitress came over said the cook doesn't salt anything. I told her it's probably the ham itself not the cooks fault. Ask if they could take it off the bill,waitress came back says here's a box to take your ham home and gave me full price on bill no discount.i guess it's my fault for ordering a ham steak that I couldn't eat mind you I eat these all the time never being this salty. I don't like to criticise a local business like Bob's . Generally the food is good and service spotty. The food comes out in a unorganised fashion a little too often. My toast showed up when I was almost finished and it was cold with a disgusting amount of unmelted butter. Additionally I became ill immediately after getting home. Sorry Bob's for the bad review but you just can't operate in such an inconsistent manner and expect no one to speak up. read more

I came to Bob's during breakfast, , not too busy but the service was extremely slow. I seated myself and waited at least 10-15 minutes to be greeted with drinks and get a menu. When I finally ordered and received my food it was not only flavorless but it was entirely too greasy. The only good thing about my meal was the biscuits and gravy but you cant really mess out country gravy in a bag.... I truly believe this shop only has somewhat high ratings because on their counter they have a sign bribing customers saying" Get a free drink if you rate us 5 stars".... I tried this place today. So disappointed. The food was cold, from the breakfast potatoes to the pancakes which were not only cold but also very dry. I really wanted for this place to be good since I go to this area quite often. The waitress was nice but never checked with me after bringing the food. we got served spoiled chocolate milk and it ruined our breakfast. The food had a weird smell too, i think they really check to see if theres a problem with where the food is stored because everything had a weird smell/taste. Well I devoured my food before I got a bite , but man oh man I got their country potatoes and strawberry waffles and I ate until I truly couldn't anymore . I got it to go and the way they packaged it was amazing . Waffles and potatoes separate. Strawberries in a cup by the side, so it didn't make the waffles soggy, with packaged silverware, ketchup, butter, etcetc, they truly made sure I had anything and everything I could need for this meal. Took my 2 boys to brunch here today, per my father-in-law's recommendation. It was EXCELLENT food! I ordered the 'Everything Omelet' I believe it was called...? Last Time-- Second time in a month that I showed up just after 6am. The first time I called and the server opened the door explaining they were running behind. Food was decent once I was served. Today showed at 6am, waited, called at 6:15am, no answer. Sad part was I could see someone inside but they would not answer the phone. I did not see posted hours on the building's outside. Just ate lunch at bob's coffee shop and it was terrible. The staff was nice but she messed my order up, that wasn't a big deal but the food quality was sub standard. I'm surprise there not much choices for coffee/espressos as I expect from the name. However, tried their food and it's surprisingly very good! Just what the doctor ordered. I nice friendly corner cafe with all the traditional offerings so everyone in the family got what they wanted at a shockingly low price. I think Bob's is miscategorized and missing out. We found it under coffee shops yet the other "cafe" that was closed for dinner is under restaurants. Crazy mixed up world we live in. We have literally been to this Cafe over a hundred times in the last 6 years. We have had three or four meals in that time that were not particularly great. I would call that a really great record. The server's all try really hard to give us great service, in some cases they are not well-trained , however this is a tiny place with a small staff nd probably they don't have an executive VP of training and education the way that big chain might All in all, the food is great, they accommodate special request very well , and if I lived near here I would be back more, but I have moved 500 miles away. From a local Hughson residence . this particular restaurant has gone downhill.First of all 15.95 for a takeout breakfast ???? I go there at least once a month. I called at 8:40 for a takeout I was told 15 minutes. I arrived 15 minutes later and was told it would only be a couple minutes more because obviously it had not been cooked yet. But I was told to go ahead and pay for it. This time like most every time I leave a tip. I continue to pay attention to the kitchen area I never see an order come up. 20 minutes later I was asked by the same person that collected my money what I was waiting for. I told her and she goes oh here it is Right next to the Register. Two waitresses six tables with customers they were not busy but yet nobody could remember to give me my meal that I have already paid for when both of them walked by me at least 10 times. I see a lot of signs around town that say keep Hughson small. If we could just get a little bit bigger we we can pull in another restaurant that cares about the local residence .
