It started the night a veneer fell off, front and center of my smile, the night before flying out for an important event the next morning. Panicked, I reached out to Dr. Ohanesian and to my amazement, he texted me back (at 11PM!) and had me come in before normal working hours in order to squeeze me in. He completely saved the day! I just went back to take care of a couple of things and just can't say enough regarding how kind, patient, compassionate, funny, and what a great dentist he is. Making a living is of course important, but he is clearly not in it just for the money. This man clearly loves what he does. He has integrity. I have had a few appointments already, and my opinion has not changed. Rebecca, the front desk receptionist who assisted me, deserves praise and recognition. My first visit was today and the reviews and ratings provided accurate! The office is bright and cheerful decorated in blue, white and yellow. I was greeted upon entering the office and was introduced to all members at the front desk. I was given what was basically a pricing sheet for services the office provided as they relate to my particular insurance. I appreciated this to circumvent any questions or surprises. The dental assistant called my name, introduced herself, and provided an introduction to the practice itself. She showcased the accreditation of all three doctors (also father , son and daughter) as well as a photo walking the family. There was a little welcome gift bag in my exam chair with some small person hygiene items. The dental assistant took the time to ask about me and made me feel valued. The cleaning and exam was done by the patriarch of the practice. His mannerism and knowledge is precise and comfy at the same time. It was a great experience and happy to say that this is an an example of a door opening when another has shut.

When Dr. Mark Takeda (the son) recommended Invisalign, I trusted his advice and eventually decided to move forward. Unfortunately, that turned out to be a mistake. My Invisalign results were disappointing--my teeth never became fully straight--and when I brought this up, he was defensive and dismissive rather than receptive. What's worse, my final interaction with Dr. Mark Takeda (the son) was shockingly unprofessional. He became visibly agitated, raised his voice, and even pointed at me in a confrontational manner. I have never been treated with such disrespect by a healthcare professional in my life. His behavior was rude, aggressive, and completely out of line. The staff has always been wonderful, but after that experience, I have lost all confidence in Dr. Mark Takeda's (the son) professionalism and skill. They got me all the paperwork I needed as a new patient and informed me that they would be able to get me in to see the dentist today. I had been fighting an issue with a toothache for 4 days which was causing me extreme headaches. My fear was that I was going to need to have that tooth pulled and they weren't going to be able to help me today. I was able to get in to see the dentist get an X-ray of problem tooth and have the tooth extracted. I was so relived that they were able to fit me in. Everyone I interacted with was so nice and listened to my concerns. I am extremely pleased with my visit and I already have another appointment set to come back in. I went to visit a dentist and it was only just to get deep cleaning and a cavity filled however I…read moream so traumatized from the dentist from back in the 70s, all that grinding and drilling bothers me so the dentist gave me anti-anxiety meds to take for my procedure. Well, those pills did not work so they decided to give me a shot of I don't know what to help calm me down. The shot did not work either, it actually gave me the worst anxiety that I ever had. I think I became belligerent to where they were going to call the paramedics to come take me to the hospital. The next day I called that dentist office and they told me that I need to go see a sedation dentist and I Could never come back to their office again. They referred me to Dr. Smith. when I got there I was still a little afraid but they were so kind and warm and welcoming so I decided to allow Dr. Smith and his staff to perform the deep cleaning, cavity fill, crown and put an implant post in at the same time under anesthesia. The experience was amazing! They did not make me feel like I was a big crybaby because I was, they treated me with respect and kindness. And at the age of 59 years, you would think that I would be able to handle simple procedures but can't. I do recommend Dr.Smith's office if you're afraid of going to the dentist. Go and get that smile you deserve! I did!! Thank you Dr Smith and staff from the front office to the back office... and his anesthesiologist was the greatest I've ever dealt with!
