Yummmmmm sooo freaking delicious !!!!! Swear my boyfriend and I were just so hungry and craving hot dogs. ESP me so I am so glad that we decided to stop here before heading back to LA. Jaquez has been a staple in street food scene for well over a decade in otherwise scene largely dominated by taco trucks. Their champurrado is simply the best, I have yet to find anything comparable. Not to mention their bacon wrapped hot dogs topped with onions, tomato, ketchup, mustard, sour cream and jalapenos, if anything they soak up those late night drinks. I don't think many folks think that these two food items go together but on their own both are delicious. Don't set your expectations to high and you be pleasantly surprise, obliviously my rating is based a lot on nostalgia. read more

We weren't sure what to order so we shared a hot dog with everything on it and a champurrado for only $7! Definitely each getting our own next time. I really wanted to give the place a try as I hear good things from the review but I was turned down three times by them. Don't come in after 10 cause I was turned away twice since once they said they ran out of food and the other time said they were closing even though it says they are open til 11 and I was there 10:20. The third time I cames at 9:30 and I was told I could only get hot dogs if I buy the whole 6 pack other than that they won't make anything else. So I was baffled at the fact they refuse to serve me unless I buy a whole pack of bread and hot dogs because they refused to open up a new one for me only. Don't really understand why they wouldn't open one because they can reseal it but I guess that's the way they run their business. I was hoping to try this place out and gave it 3 chances and each one let me down. read more
