My (now) fiancée and I went to many different jewelers trying on engagement rings and even went all the way to Scottsdale and brilliant earth. However the best experience we had was at Jared's specifically with Lori and Paul! When we walked in, we were immediately greeted by Lori and Paul who helped us try different sizes and were very kind and excited to help us celebrate our relationship together. I had bought an engagement ring elsewhere but they have a jeweler in store who resizes rings even if they aren't bought at Jared. They even said other jewelers tend to send their resizing to this specific location. When I came back to pick up the resized ring, it was a very easy process and they provided a nice green box which would eventually become the box I used for the engagement itself because it was of good quality and was a nice deep green color. When we decided to look for a wedding band, we actually changed our mind on the wedding band a few weeks later but Lori made the exchange process very seamless and easy. Overall it was a great experience and every time we came back to Jared's it felt like we were coming back to familiar friends! Admittedly value wise it is more expensive but the experience and also the lifetime plan you can buy to have it cleaned at any time you want make this well worth it's value. We did have some limited interactions with one other staff member who was not as friendly but Lori was quick to make sure she took care of us since we had already seen her before. I have spent a lot of money at Jared's, specifically this location, over the last few years. We have always been pleased with their bling but our last few visits have been a bit more than annoying. We had to have a few rings we purchased there resized and one ordered. You know the saying it's always better to over communicate than under communicate? Well they had that covered with the eleven emails they sent me over the course of two weeks. It was amazing how fast they went from emails saying my ring had arrived and I had a week to pick it up, to I had three days to pick it up to your jewelry will be sent back to you don't pick it up immediately. That was just in one day alone. Keep in mind that it was paid for in advance. Then the spam "As a member of the Vault Club rewards program you have been specially selected" emails started and they just won't stop! Three weeks later one of the Diamond chips came off of a ring so I took it back. That's when they tried to charge me to fix it, saying the ring was covered because it was new, but they had to charge me to reburnish the metal to reset the new chip or something along those lines. Seeing the super pissed look on my face the kid said he would talk to the repair department to get me a special price on that, all the while continuing to try to sell me an upgraded warranty on the ring. I was reminded of the spiel car dealerships try to give you to get special under coating to keep your car from rusting in Arizona or non-slip seats. When I said I wanted to speak to a manager the tone changed quickly and they agreed to cover it like they were doing me a favor. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect diamonds not to fall from your ring three weeks after buying it, and I sure as heck don't appreciate the attitude I got when I took it back. Jared lured me in with a 0 interest for 12 months on purchase. At 13 month they hit you with interest for the entire purchase. I understand paying interest on the remaining balance but $800 interest charge for money I no longer owe is ridiculous. I will never do business with Jared as they use small print sales tactics to trick customers into credit purchases. They never disclosed it would be differed interest on the purchase price. Tried working it out with Commenity but they preferred over to lose my business over $800 than making this right. Do not shop at Jared's. Buyer beware. Read the fine print. read more

Based on my recent experience with this store, I cannot with good intentions recommend this store to anyone. There are many more professional and trustworthy options to buy watches and jewelry. In my opinion, this is not one of them. I brought my Tag Heuer in for service. They are an authorized Tag dealer so they would send this directly to Tag for repair. I brought the watch in on October 1 and was told it would be a 2 month wait. I called the first week of December and was told it is scheduled to ship between December 9-13. I called back on the 13th and they said it wasn't in and to check with the following week. I called the following week and was told they were busy and that someone would definitely call me the next day with an update. That didn't happened so I called back. At that time they told me they would get in touch with tag and let me know in the next 24 hours. That didn't happen so I called again and they told me when they tried to contact Tag but they called after hours. Then I reached out to the person I originally dealt with when dropping off the watch. He told me he would find out and call me back. When he called me back he said tag closed for 2 weeks for the holiday season. We are now after the new year. I called tag and they confirmed they were only closed 2 days the week of Christmas and 2 days the week of new years. They were able to give me an update on my watch over the phone and said it would ship January 6. I called the sales person to let him know and he said he was sorry and would take care of me if I bought another watch from him. What a turn off. All I wanted was accurate communication and not given the run around for over a month. So Jared's called me today and said my watch was in. I went in and the person helping me had a terrible attitude. I asked her if I could get an invoice and warranty card and she said no. So I called tag at the store. Can't say that this was my favorite ring shopping experience. However, I have to give the most fair and accurate review of my overall experience given covid19 circumstances. Due to covid19, their inventory was lacking. We didn't see anything there that we would consider buying and I felt a little rushed as our ring helper was quick to usher us out of the store lol...how she ushered us out of the store was not rude so no hard feelings!! Overall, it's not a good time to go ring shopping or ring gazing if u're serious about buying a ring as they don't have much inventory right now. I had my wedding set resized smaller and soldered together. The ring was shaved down paper thin and attached crooked. I would be happy to supply photos. The ring is essentially ruined and looks like it was put together by a child and could break at any moment. The store offered to put the $300 I paid "towards" fixing the ring and had the nerve to tell me I would have to make up the difference in cost. The ring was ruined by the jeweler at this store and they wanted me to pay to fix it. They had the nerve to tell me one ring was "too worn" (It wasn't worn at all and they didn't mention this the 2 times we visited the store to have it sized) and there was nothing else they could do. I would need to pay to have metal added even though the ring was made SMALLER by them and they were responsible for removing too much metal in the first place. I refused to pay more to have the ring fixed by the jeweler who ruined it and requested a refund. Now I have to find someone to fix my ring and hope it doesn't snap in the mean time. Oh and when I asked the "manager" if after looking at the ring she could honestly say she felt good about the way it turned out she said "no" but still had the audacity to say I would need to pay to get it fixed. This was a devastating experience. My ring was purchased at a 3rd party as a resale and I feel like this store didn't care for it with the same amount of detail and workmanship because of that. I purchased an Omega 500m dive watch here over 15 years ago. Every two years like clock work the battery needs serviced. Because it's a dive watch it has to be sent overseas to be serviced. I usually wait 6-8 weeks and then it's estimated for fees then returned. The staff at this location has always kept me updated on the status on my jewelry. I've been going here for several years and also doing a lifetime warranty on my other watches that I have purchased at this location. The lady who answered said that she "could" exchange for a longer chain or the jeweler could ad links but when I got to the Val Vista location I was told there was nothing they could do because it was 9 days past the 30 return, the manager said they wouldn't do anything because corporate doesn't allow it. I was never even asked by the sales person if I wanted to add any warranty and fortunately caught it before I swiped my card. Very dishonest practice. On another occasion I was snapped at by the jewelry technician because the sales person was confused about the nature of my visit (was simply buying a lost back to an earring) because the previous sales person didn't endorse what I had needed correctly. This technician was extremely rude in how she communicated to me. My first mistake was returning to the store to begin with after the first incident above. I was convinced by the store manager that I needed to have my ring service to replace the prongs around one of my diamonds. They replaced the prongs and set my stone but it was sitting higher than the rest of the diamonds and I noticed they had done some type of engraving on my ring when in reality they shaved gold off my ring. I dropped my ring and the diamond that they reset and replaced the prongs shattered my diamond in two pieces and ruined my ring that I've had for 41 years with no issues until Jared got ahold of my ring. Now they won't take responsibility and have told me that it will be at my expense to replace the diamond when in fact it was their shady workmanship that cause my damage. What a coincidence that the only diamond to get ruined is the one they repaired. I would not be complaining if it had been one of the other five diamonds on the ring but it truly shows that it was their fault because the diamond was not set properly. Stay away from Jared!! They will ruin your jewelry and then turn their back on you. Never again with store. The manager also sold me a cross which he stated it was solid gold but turned out to be hollow. They had to reorder a new one in store while I was there to have it resized since it was too big to alter down without ruining the integrity of the ring, which was fine. However, they told me they would follow up with me on an estimated date of when to expect the ring. Two weeks went by and I heard nothing, so I called and they said "Should be in around 12/16" I called today on 12/16 and the best they could tell me was "we will call you when we hear something". This is unacceptable for a large ticket item. I understand inventory may be low, but the customer shouldn't have to keep calling in and not receiving any sort of information. It's been over 4 weeks. On Sept 6, 2023 I took my jewelry in to be inspected as well as get new posts put on my earrings so I could have the screw on backs. The gal let me know my diamond was loose and a diamond was chipped on my ring so stated I needed to send it in to be fixed. I asked her to remove my ex from my account since we are no longer together. She stated she would handle it all. On the 13th I went to the store to pick up my items and nobody could find them. Someone asked me who helped me the last time I was in and I pointed to the gal and she came over and told everyone that yes she remembered me and that she switched all my items into my account only and took the ex off the account. After them looking more a manager told me my stuff was picked up two days prior. I said by who and they said my ex name. I said how would he know to pick up my items and he stated the gal made a mistake and submitted the fix it ticket prior to removing him from the account so he got the email that my items were done and ready for pick up. I asked them what they were going to do in regards to the situation and they stated nothing because he was on the ticket. They failed to do their job correctly and gave my jewelry that my children gave me as gifts to my abusive ex and they would not even reimburse me my money that I paid on getting new posts on my earrings.
