Initially, the ring came out beautifully and my wife was very happy with the result. However, after a couple of years, the band started chipping, so we brought the ring back to Walt's for repair. After they had the ring for a couple of weeks, we went in to pick it up and immediately noticed the diamond was not positioned the same way it had been when we dropped it off. It was clearly crooked and had been changed from its original position. My wife tried to explain this to Cheryl, but instead of listening to our concern, she insisted it was our issue. She repeatedly told my wife that because the diamond has a unique cut it would always appear crooked. The problem is, the original jeweler at Walt's had the diamond set perfectly the first time, so we don't understand why it couldn't be done again. What made the situation worse was the tone of the conversation. When a customer raises a concern, it shouldn't be met with someone speaking down to them. For over a month now, we have asked multiple times to speak with the owner, Javier, but we keep getting the runaround. On top of that, we asked them to have the ring appraised while it was there. When we received the appraisal back, the ring was significantly undervalued. The carat weight was listed as more than a full carat lower than the actual diamond, and the clarity and color were also incorrect. When we asked why the appraiser didn't request our GIA documentation, we were told we should have brought it ourselves. As customers, how would we know that was necessary if no one asked? Lastly, while my wife was there looking for a 10-year anniversary band, she felt like she was treated as if she wasn't worthy of being a customer. Ironically, she ended up purchasing a beautiful $8,000 band that matches her ring set. At this point, we are having another jeweler correct the issues with the ring, and possibly even create a new setting because we've lost confidence in Walt's. We have asked repeatedly to speak with Javier, but the staff says he is in the reserves and they never know when he'll be in the office. It's disappointing that a business would handle customer concerns this way. Unfortunately, because of this experience, we will be taking our business elsewhere going forward.

Horrible customer service. Shytser DAN sold me a ring that was advertised as a size 6. I pay a total of $167.00 CAD for it. I receive it, but it's too small. I put it on my ring mandrel and it measures a size 5.5, not a 6. I upload a picture of this to prove to DAN the ring is not the listed size. I want to return as it doesn't fit, they don't want to send me a return label which they're supposed to under ebay rules after shipping items "not as described". Even though they are responsible to pay return shipping, I get stuck paying an additional $17.00 out of pocket to return it to them. Not to mention another $17.00 CAD for customs fees!! They receive the return but still claim it was a size 6 and for this reason, they don't want to refund my money. They can't understand why it's such a big deal???? What's the big deal he says between a 5.5 and a 6...? REALLY??? so if you order a size 10 shoe but they sent you a 9, you would be happy with that i suppose and would just suffer in a size too small? Absolutely Ridiculous! Meanwhile this SHYSTER (( DAN )) already has my returned ring, relisted on eBay the same morning it was shown as delivered. It already has $40.00 worth of bids on the returned ring before they even acknowledged the rings return, forget about the fight for the refund....That was yet to come. Coincidently, the ring is now listed on Ebay as a size 5.5 and has several bidders. Keep in mind this is before they even consider to issue my refund!!!! Which was another nightmare in itself. It was a long drawn out battle with the ebay refund/ fraud team working hard to extract my refund for DANS tight little fists. The absolute worst, most dishonorable sellers I've ever had the displeasure of doing business with. Their misrepresentation of their merchandise cost me $34.00 out of my pocket. These are the kind of people who make Canadian buyers weary of trusting USA sellers who don't bat an eyelash before at ripping you off. In fact,ebay customer service explained these sellers have had many complaints of this sort of thing from customers. (((DANJEWELRY))) on eBay is being closely watched by eBay customer control and likely won't have a business on ebay much longer. I hope that Karma comes your way my friend. CANADIAN BUYERS BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!! Expensive lesson learned. read more

Prior to going into his shop I looked around online and at some well known stores and was weary of what I was getting into. After talking to Dan about what I wanted and what my budget was he brought me multiple diamonds to choose from and explained everything about them and what makes a diamond great. He is honest, fair and has a great eye...after all that's what he does! The had been connected into one piece, but I wanted them separated into the rings. They are just a two minute walk from my office and others from work had good luck there This place is not a fancy jewelry store. It's old and messy and full of consignment jewelry. Definitely a mom and pop store. They have two well-behaved adorable little cocker spaniels (I think?) behind a gate. The lady there looked up the price in a book. $45 for each separation for a total of $90. The jeweler came in when we were wrapping it up, and he looked on the same book and quoted $62.50 for each ring, but the lady said she's given me a city of Mesa employee discount. Yay! It took less than a week to get them back, and they are lovely. They did a great job

I went to this business recently for a repair. I felt that I was treated with disrespect by the man…read moreand woman working there because I wanted another opinion on the pricing of the repair. I thought the price was too high and I was right. Another jeweler in the area did the same repair for a third of the cost. The man that was working, there was rude and told me "all the silver in this area comes to me. You won't find a better price."
