I'm so disappointed that I just now found out about Jarochos. Authentic Mexican food bursting with flavor. Delicious street tacos--el pastor and asada as good as I've had. And the chocolate mole on par with the famous Red Iguana in SLC...maybe even better. The menu allows you to easily pick and choose your own combinations. Very reasonable pricing and eating here is enjoying great food while also having a cultural experience. Great personal service. There's a little construction in the building to the north. No worries. Just pass through this small section into the Mexican store, then the restaurant is easily visible to the right. A little unconventional...yeah. But hard to find...not at all. read more

JUST WOW. I am always in search of the perfect plátanos maduros and I just found them. Amazing food, very authentic. Not your typical greasy Mexican restaurant! The fish was delicious.

This is a one of the better places for Mexican food when it comes to thier tacos. The carnisada burrito I ordered came with chile Verde which I was not expecting, it was still good. Had a really great experience at Jarochos! I would have never stumbled upon it if not for Yelp but so glad I did. There was plenty of parking out front and on the side of the building but you might miss the location if you aren't careful! We were seated right away and there were maybe five or six tables inside so if it's really busy you may have a wait! Service was a little slow but still incredible and our waitress (whom I've been told is actually the owner) was super accommodating and even gave us plenty of extra suggestions and tips. So good! The tacos were exactly what I anticipated and the tamales were particularly excellent and far better than most I've had. Empanadas were different to me, but that's because I've had them made differently in terms of density and flavor. They are located in an obscure 4 to 5 business building inside a small grocer-so it was a little challenging to find- but worth it! read more

Great food, if you go at the right time. I've been here a few times, and every time but one has been at least a 4-Star experience. The one time I went after lunchtime, they really didn't care about their product. I love the food when it's lunchtime! And I come here regularly. Just don't go after lunch, because they'll microwave your food in a styrofoam container to heat it up. My chicken was dry, and the styrofoam was all melty... not cool! Pretty good! I had the asada, pastor, and pollo tacos. The chicken was tender and juicy but it lacked flavor. The asada had a nice marinade and good flavor. The pastor had a bit heavy seasoning to it but I enjoyed it, some might find the spice a bit too much. Yum. Tiny little hole-in-the-wall restaurant in the back of an Argentinian market. We had NO clue this place was even here until it was recommended to us. We took a chance and we were crazy happy we did. We love street taco joints like Taqueria el Rancho in Rexburg and Tacos La Pasadita in Green River. We had no clue our hometown had such an awesome little Mexican food joint that is easily the equivalent! We got asada and pastor tacos, a chicken empanada, mixed enchiladas, and a couple kids meals. Can I say I was honestly surprised how good the refried beans were? Refried beans are almost never good. But here they actually are! Everything we ordered was seriously fantastic, and as authentic as any Mexican joint we've found in southern CA. We'll be back! read more

This is a great little place with good food and very friendly service. I had a cheese, chicken and beef enchilada with red and green sauce and my wife had three tacos with a mix of chicken, carne asada and al pastor. We loved our food. We finished the evening with fried plantain topped with cream and cheese. We will be adding this as one of our "go to" restaurants. Good experience! read more

Tried empanada's for the first time, interesting taste, little salty but paired yummy with the texture of the tortilla..if thats what they use? Haha soft but not mushy! Dug it! The green sauce I feel is your basic. The red sauce had a little kick but my husband thought it had a bunch. Now if you want to go extreme, the deeper brown sauce...halilujeha! On fire! Had to try it b.c. I love spicy but a little goes a looonng way on that one my friends. We will definitely be returning. I've tried this place twice, trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. There is no sign letting you know w to seat yourself. We sat for nearly 15 minutes before they took our order. Serves other people of their race before they would serve us. Portions were good. Food was pretty good. They were stingy on the sauces. Not very spicy. The meat in the street tacos was pretty greasy. They never even offered any drinks or water. I did like the atmosphere. Probably won't be back! read more

Wow! That was really good. Got the enchiladas and they were fantastic. 8 of us ate here and we all enjoyed it and definitely will be back. The only ding has nothing to do with the food, to me there seating was inadequate and their dining area was far too hot (uncomfortable). Come on a cooler day at off hours or just get it to go.
