Awesome luxury Asian restaurant. Not only Thai cuisine but also Japanese and Chinese meals are in this restaurant. The lo mein noodle was superior than other Thai restaurants around canton. Chirashi sushi was not an authentic style at all. As a Japanese, very disappointing understanding to this dish. Chirashi should have sprinkled eggs, seaweed, and some sweetness on the top but this was just bunch of sashimi on the rice and the price was expensive for the quantity but fish quality was high level. My favorite Asian restaurant in the area, hands down. I've just never had a bad dish here. Everything is so fresh and flavorful, so many great dishes. I looove the chicken coconut soup- had it again a few weeks ago when I was sick and I swear it made me feel better. Love the shrimp shumai, Thai basil, tiger roll, Canton roll, shogun roll and each traditional Chinese entree (those are such a good value). The tempura chicken makes a great kids meal, sometimes the only way to get a pre-k kid to eat a veggie is to deep fry it. It's a small space on 30th st, so don't ya'll go rushing in at once so I can't get a table. It's also got a great little bar, with a bartender who's practically a Canton celebrity, so clearly they make amazing cocktails. You kind of can't go wrong here. read more

Who is this Paul M posting misleading pictures for this establishment? Disappointment isn't even the right word to describe this place. My buddy and I were driving home from a fishing trip and wanted to grab a bite to eat so I opened the app and this place popped up. I glanced over the pics and saw wonderful offerings that I have to travel further to get so it was an easy decision to come here. We actually had to detour back since we had passed the exit on the freeway. The location is in a plaza and in Canton....that enough should speak for itself. Sorry Canton, but this place really lets your city down. If you think this is great sushi, you've obviously have never been out of Canton and grew up here your entire life. I feel for you. The place does look really nice despite its location and I was excited when I arrived but that went away fast once I opened the menu. The items Paul M is posting in his pics aren't even on the menu. They aren't seasonal items so there shouldn't be a need to ask if it's offered as a specialty. If you are getting special items made for you, what kind of special are you to be posting it on here to think every Joe Schmo can come get it too? There was NO Uni or Kumies to be found! Offerings found were less than what you find on the dollar menu at the Wendy's across the street! I wanted to up and leave the establishment but figured I'd give it a shot. I ended up not ordering full sushi and got the Yaki Udon with one order of sushi Scallop, the second disappointment. The Yaki Udon was pretty good but I don't have anything to really compare it to since I don't ever order it anywhere else. The rent must be high or they must sell a lot of scallop sushi but everywhere else that I've gotten it, one piece served sushi style is one whole scallop butterflied, not one scallop split into two servings. That's like splitting a shrimp and half and serving it as two pieces. It's a good thing I didn't order my other favorites or else I would have been ever more disappointed. Sweet shrimp was almost ordered and I probably would have lost it if they split my sweet shrimp and served one shrimp as two. Don't not come here expecting what you see in the pics as they are misleading as can be. I'm going to take a stab and say Paul M is affiliated with the restaurant somehow. Years ago, you could count on this place to never disappoint. Our food this evening was simply poor quality. The appetizers were food service grade, not prepared to order. The Dragon and Phoenix was no good. The shrimp portion was fresh, but the chicken had been sitting around in a steam table for some time, was tough, unappealing and almost inedible. I left it uneaten on my plate sitting in a gelatinous mess of overly sweetened orange goo. It was supposed to be spicy. The dish was completely bland. My partner's spicy chicken had no flavor or heat. Very disappointed. I've experienced much better Chinese fast food at a much lower price point. The General Taos has been on edge of crunchy but tonight the chicken was so over cooked much of it was inedible. The egg rolls were greasy and mushy inside. Weird tasting chicken. Ordered GrubHub Sunday for dinner. Teriyaki chicken General Taos chicken fried rice and two eggrolls, along with wonton soup. Eggrolls were crisp on the outside and completely mushy and gross on the inside. The chicken in the teriyaki was terrible and had a funky taste. Wonton soup was greasy and mysteriously deep deep yellow look. For $74 I could've made sandwiches in my own kitchen. I know this place usually gets good reviews but I won't order again. Wow, used to be so good. We either ate there or got carryout at least once or twice a month. Everything was always presented well, cooked perfectly. Unfortunately that is no longer true. Last year during when they reopened for carry out after the lock down, it became clear something was wrong. We got carry out a few times, but the food was so spicy hot we couldn't eat it. When we called to complain, the manager/bartender said no one was there who could communicate to the chef, due to a language barrier. After this happened 2-3 times, we just stopped ordering. Now when I say too hot, I mean throat scorching stomach pain inducing spicy. We like spicy food, and this was inedible. So fast forward to this week, when we decided to give them another chance. We ordered Cheese Flower and The Dragon & The Phoenix. Cheese Flower used to be a favorite appetizer, crab meat and cream cheese in a crunchy wonton with mango dip and wasabi sauce. This time, no crab meat, just cream cheese in burnt wontons, a tiny bit of the sauces, watery mango sauce tasteless wasabi. There were little browned shards of apple also. The main dish was nothing special. The shrimp was cooked well, the pieces of chicken over cooked to the point of hard lumps, some pieces were just chicken skin, no chicken meat at all. The sauce was thickened beyond belief, gloppy and sticky. This all cost $29. Never again, this is our last time to try it. So disappointing, because it used to be amazing. read more

The rather small restaurant was packed on this stormy Friday evening. Had to wait a few minutes while the hostess was on the phone taking a take-out order. Would be nice if that job could be handled by someone else. Waitress took our drink order quickly but when we wanted time to look at the menu she took forever to return. I ordered the hot and sour soup and a Spicy Maki Entree. The soup was like no other I had even seen but was scalding hot & tasty once it cooled down. Had large pieces of shrimp in it. Service and food was not great, I'm confused reading all these great reviews because i certainly did not have the same experience. I eat sushi often, several times a month, this was not good sushi. It was mediocre at best, the rolls fell apart, the rice was hot and mushy, everything about it was awful. I got the bento box, with the chicken and broccoli in brown sauce, for half the price i literally could have went across the street to main moon and gotten the same thing, was not impressed. Service was as bad as the sushi, I waited for over 5 minutes after being seated for a waiter to come to my table, i figured my waiter was busy in the back but no, he was sitting at the bar watching a sports event, that also may be why it took forever to get my bill after i was done eating which was very inconvenient considering i was here eating on my lunch hour. Certainly a busy Mother's Day is a test for any food establishment, and our server Nadine did a good job for us. She explained that there was no bartender and fixed us delicious specialized martinis. She took our complete order at the start, then brought our sushi, shared starter and entrees out in quick succession. We were overwhelmed with all the food and felt somewhat rushed. She did check on us and as we ate we realized that the dining room was emptying out, so we did not need to hurry. Because the food came in one fell swoop the entrees had cooled considerably. Been here 6-7 times and I do appreciate it. For Canton, it should be a 5 star but for NE Ohio I give it 4 stars. I find the sushi to be OK. It is not fantastic like Sakura or Ginko. Any roll with crunch should be avoided because they load it up with crunch to the point it is dry. The sushi portions don't match up with Wasabi. The Chinese food is pretty great. The cheese flower app is a nice take on crab rangoon with some added apple flavor. I definitely recommend it. The Dragon and Phoenix is a well proportioned dish with different sauces for the chicken and the shrimp. The Jasmine Special fried rice is absolutely awesome with light fluffy rice and crabmeat (imitation unfortunately, but well done anyway), chicken, shrimp (beautiful shrimp), tomato and cilantro. This is pretty nice dish. I wish they would use a nice lump crab and charge $2 more, if needed. It would be awesome if someone in Canton would take the leap to really do things top notch and get away from crabsticks. At least Wasabi stocks King Crab so you can request it instead. The lunch Bento boxes are a great value and their General Tso is very nice. Overall, a very solid place and I am glad Canton has it. I would pick Basil over it for Thai but I think it is the best Chinese in Canton, although there are a few sentimental favorite items at Panda Garden. read more

Went here because of reviews. Would have gave them negative stars if possible. Spent $51 on take out. Most went in trash. Sushi was not like other pictures. Was INEDIBLE! General tso was barely palatable. Rice smelled so overwhelming of fish it couldn't be eaten. (Was not supposed to have fish) egg rolls were also inedible, cabbage was so hard it couldn't be chewed. Wish I had anything positive out of this experience, but I don't. If you are feeling Asian worth the drive to Akron for Cilantro. Spend the same amount, with alcohol, and have a phenomenal meal!!!!! First time here at Jasmine Asian Bistro and it was an interesting visit! The restaurant was very busy and smaller place than expected! I estimate about 30-35 people including a full bar of about 10 people! Very noisy with that many people on a Friday with no space for late comers! Service was excellent and patience as we were busy answering the 20 questions check in for Yelp (most ever)! Also trying to figure out what to order from the menu! A large variety to choose from and the waitress had to come back three times! We have eaten at many Asian restaurants, but never so many choices! We finally ordered before they threw us out for lack of ordering LOL. We ordered Thai sweet and sour which came steaming hot! I burned my mouth so the feeling and taste was broiled! My wife was trying to blow on it and trying to look dignified! No luck there either! The two large shrimps were good and the flavor was totally different that what we are a custom too! It was okay, but I will not order that again! Just too hot and not spice or flavored enough for burnt mouth We ordered different main meals! She will tell you about hers on her review, but she said she liked it. My meal was Dragon and Phoenix which included chicken and shrimp in a orange sauce with tiny carrots and tiny peas! Yum yum but the chicken was breaded! My tea tasted more like soap! Next time I will order a different drink! Parking is in a strip mall but we got right up front of the restaurant! Hostess was handling pickup orders on the phone, but after a long wait she seated us at a table! The rounded back chairs was uncomfortable, but seat was padded! You might want to call a head, if more than two in your party. Bar was was fully loaded which is given in the drink menu! We recommend visiting this restaurant!
