I was so surprised to see that this restaurant offers so many Gluten free options, the staff let me know that they cook your Gluten free order separately as well! I started out with the lemon grass salad that come with my meal, it was simple but the flavor was so refreshing! Next we had my appetizer, I ordered the Veg. Vietnamese Spring Rolls that came with a plum dipping sauce. I'd never had a plum sauce before and it was very good and had an unique flavor. For me the best part of the meal was my CRISPY Honey chicken and basil fried rice (it's so hard to find GF crispy chicken so this was so satisfying for me, I do wish they offered the crispy chicken with more options) The staff were really nice and answered all of my questions about the menu, the restaurant itself was very quiet, calm and had more of a dimmed intimate setting. The food was pretty expensive ($15+ each entree) and didn't taste that good. It tasted like how it'd be if you made something new by yourself at home, that, while edible, was by no means delicious, and that you wouldn't bother making again. Except that in addition, you have the anxiety of wondering whether the ingredients are fresh, if they were prepared cleanly and without MSG, etc. They also used those old blue plastic coke cups, even for the Thai tea, so it looked black/brown. It smells like moth balls or something and there are little cups of dehumidifying chemicals or moth balls here and there. It's very dark. We stopped here on a cold, windy night for a big bowl of pho. We started off with some eggrolls which were absolutely delicious. It's hard to find really good eggrolls but this place is top notch. We got our salad prior to the soup. I had the ginger dressing and hubby tried the lemongrass dressing. Both were good but we agreed that the ginger was better. We both ordered the seafood pho which was steaming hot and had a nice amount of seafood. We were both stuffed in the end. This place is delicious. We also started with the crab Rangoon appetizer (pictured). For two entrees, the app and two Sapporo beers, our bill was $44 before tip. I hate to leave bad reviews, but I come to yelp for honesty so here's my honest review....the sushi, SKIP IT! We ordered two very overpriced sushi rolls, they weren't rolled tight enough so when you went to pick them up they completely fell apart, one of them was 14.95 so it was very disappointing, not to mention the lack of any kind of flavor, tasted like a big ball of rice, normally I wouldn't waste 14.95 worth of food, but we left almost the whole roll on the plate, the waitress never asked if everything was ok, because we literally barely saw her. I got the pho, it was ok, but again bland in flavor, i added heaps of the chili sauce to give the broth some sort of "kick". My daughter got the crispy pineapple chicken in the pineapple boat, and it was so sweet you could barely eat a spoonful, drenched in sauce. Everything was an upcharge, subbing noodles for rice was an upcharge, a side of spicy mayo for our lack of flavor sushi roll was 0.75, you would think if you spent 14.95 on a sushi roll a side of spicy mayo would come with it...not here. Overall it wasn't the worst i've had, but it definitely is nothing I will be back for anytime soon. read more

I have been a fan of their crispy tofu and green beans for many years. Best tofu I have ever had hands down. Started eating there more than 10 years ago while I was a vegetarian. Not a bad place. They have a menu of sushi rolls where you can order 2 for $8.75. That's pretty good value. I had 2 shrimp tempura rolls, Philadelphia roll, and a spicy crab roll. Overall not bad flavor. The rolls are a little smaller than what I'm used to but it's good value so I'm not complaining. I also ordered the drunken noodles and it was really good. Not a bad amount for the price. Good level of spice. In just wish there was a little more beef in it. My only complaint with this place was the service. Sukho Thai save my Christmas! I'm home from Los Angeles visiting family and I was supposed to host Christmas dinner. Despite triple checking, it turned out my AirBnb was not equipped to cook. I was just so thankful to find a place open for Christmas Day, I wouldn't have cared if the food were just edible. Boy was I surprised! Not only was it delicious, but it would easily compete with the Thai I'm used to to in Thai town. I actually can't wait to come back home to Ohio to eat here. Breaking my way into trying sushi, well their tokyo roll has me hooked. But....the wait time after you order is crazy so be expecting to kill time while you're hungry. It doesn't get as busy here and i like that. The speciality cocktails aren't great and apparently the staff doesn't know what's in them (i just wanted to know if they had coconut). They have bubble tea, which i never tried but my friends go crazy for so it must be good. And mochi ice cream which you can't screw up because it's bought and green tea mochi is great. read more

One word. AMAZING!!! I discovered this GREAT sushi place almost 3 years ago. Due to my work in North Canton area, I was literally going there at least 2 days a week for a year. Now I work in Kent, OH but I still make that trip down to this place almost every week. This place is worth driving for 45 minutes. First of all, the staff is nice. They always smile and are very polite. The restaurant is cozy and has a nice ambiance. When you arrive, you have the option to sit around the sushi bar or a regular table. We always sit at the sushi bar. It is very cool to see the chef while he prepares your food. I came across two different chefs at the sushi bar at different occasions. Samuel, the latino chef(I see him most of the time) and the asian chef (I dont remember his name) are both very friendly and talented. (Dont forget to tip them if you are sitting at the sushi bar)They treat your food like an art piece. You can clearly tell that they know how to please your eye before your stomach. Don't be suprised if you see few flower drawings on your plate made with various different sweet sauces. I always order the same thing. First, as an appetizer, SUSHI BAR TACO. This appetizer should be an entree on its own. As far as I know, this is the only place that serves this dish. It comes with small flat breads topped with various different types of spices, veggies and crab meat. This is an appetizer so the pieces are small but my god they are DELICIOUS! If you grab a bit you will want more and more, I guarantee. As far as the entree goes, I always order California roll with cream cheese. When you order a sushi roll, you also get a complimentary salad with it. You should go with the ginger salad. You will be suprised how tasty it is. I am going to be honest with you. This place have, by far, the best sushi in the area. Not just in North Canton but north east ohio in general. I have been to various sushi places in NC, Akron and Cleveland but this place serves the most delicious sushi ever. My wife usually gets the spicy California which she enjoys so much too. To top it off, you should complete your tasty experience with a Mocchi icecream. Finally, it does not cost much at all. You leave this great restaurant with a very reasonable check. My family and I went here for my birthday a couple of weeks ago and could not have been more pleased. We will definitely be back soon! Our server was new and didn't know the menu very well yet, but he was great and went out of his way to be helpful. We ordered tornado rolls as an appetizer for the table and those were phenomenal! I highly recommend trying them if you like shrimp. I ordered seaweed salad (perfectly dressed) and a couple of different sushi rolls, which were both delicious and plated beautifully! My brother ordered some type of Thai seafood bouillabaisse and he was basically on cloud nine; he said he will definitely order that again. My mom and uncle both ordered the khing curry (one with chicken and one with duck) and they both said it was very good. Even my dad, typically a "meat and potatoes" guy, was impressed with his meal (was some type of stir fry with scallops). My grandma was really adventurous and got the steak salad, which she said was good. We finished dinner by trying the Kona Coffee "mochi ice cream". Top Sushi Chef My favorite sushi spot and seriously just one of my favorite restaurants in the area. Super casual atmosphere makes it easy to walk in. Never had to wait to be seated, always sit at the bar. As far as the food goes I can only speak on the sushi as that is all I ever get. It's always fresh and you can watch it being made in front of you. They do offer more traditional American style Chinese food if that is your thing. I have had other sushi in this area and nothing really compares. I have never felt bad after eating here. Never had a bad experience yet. Shitty service, good food. Strange dining. Sukho Thai is next to BW3 and Buffet Dynasty, it has two giant metal tusked elephants by the doors, that's how you'll know you're there. Strange #1: Me: "I'll have this Riesling please." Waitress: "Would you like a glass with that?" #2: One of my dining companions (7 of us total) ordered a Thai Iced Tea. It looked just like a regular iced tea. DC: "I ordered a THAI iced tea, I think this is just iced tea?" Waitress: (exasperated sigh) "No. That IS a Thai iced tea. If you want to add creamer to it, we can bring it out but it's EXTRA. It's pretty sweet already though, so taste it." #3 Waitress spills ice waters on the floor right behind another of my dining companion's chair. Lots and lots of ice cubes. Everywhere. Do we keep talking to her, telling her it's OK while she picks them up? We feel like we look rude turning our backs to her while she scurries about on the floor gathering cubes. It's uncomfortable. She finally finishes. #4 There are 4 Japanese sushi rolls on the menu. #5 Two men at a different table must have ordered something very special because their waiter is VERY attentive and he brings them a new mini plate of some sort of different sauce every 5-7 minutes. When one of these men goes to use the restroom, he comes back and he has some sort of lumpy stuff under his sweatshirt. Like towels and pillows and other stuff. Where did he get these things to put under his sweatshirt? Obviously in the restroom... Not Sukho Thai's fault, but still. It's weird and it's happening at Sukho Thai. #6 Hissing laser begins to loudly pulsate from far away in some empty, but incongruously swanky bar that seems to be attached to the restaurant. Two giggling, ineffective blonde waitresses with lots of hair attempt to tackle this problem. It's LOUD and goes on for a while. Possible espresso machine @ volume 10? Eventually stops. #7 Waitress (appearing out of nowhere) "Here ya go dear. There are NOT free refills on that tea, so here's a water." Uh. Ok. You don't even want to try to sell her another? #8 One of my dining companions tries to use 3 separate coupons to reduce the bill. Manager is consulted and yes, all three coupons may be used. Woot woot. I ordered a starter of spicy soup, it was very small, probably a cup total and an order of steamed veggies. What can I say, I was feeling fat and wasn't in the mood for a curry. The soup was good and the veggies were just plain steamed veggies, no complaints. Everyone else seemed happy with their food. The service, patrons and decor were strange though. The miso soup was hot and beautifully presented, but Sukho Thai had no customary Asian soup spoon for me. And we had to request chopsticks. The ginger seemed to be hovering between life and death, with death pulling ahead. The wasabi was a mean little dab: only enough to make me cry twice, which was why I was eating it. The waitress was not very knowledgeable about ingredients. My experience at Sukho Thai makes me think of old bread. You know, right when the first fuzzies of mold are appearing.
