Let's start off with this they get one star because they are nice people. Although they are horrible at nails. I will never go back to this place. I should have known when they kept insisting they cut my nails after I had simply said I didn't want them cut or shaped. The lady seemed very rush and they were shoving people in where they obviously couldn't. The nails turned out decent so I didn't say a word. Totally not worth the money . 1 star for the friendly receptionist. I would never recommend it . Person who started before me dint finish the pedicure , even though we both picked the same pedicure. People who picked cheaper pedicure , were serviced better . This guy kept switching between his manicure appt and my pedicure. Even with that he was able to finish my pedicure sooner. The guy who did it , just wanted to get the job done . Dint wanted to tip him at all . It was little over $60 with tip , it's a rip off for the job he did . I took appointment for 3:30 , they started after 4. I was sitting there for more than an hour , for a less than 20 mins job. Manager that replied below was right there, taking care of another customer . She knew what was going on there , about delayed service and the guy switching between my pedicure and manicure . I don't need any compensation only cos I wrote a review. I am full term pregnant ,there is a reason why I called and took an appointment. You made me sit on that chair for 1 hr 20 mins, for less than 20 mins service . I have no interest in visiting this place again. read more

ZERO STARS!!! I am typically not a person that complains, much less goes on to write about it in a review. Unfortunately due to my experience I feel that I need to warn people away from here so they can avoid spending the money and being treated as if their being there was a inconvenience. To start of when we entered the salon my friend and I were asked what we wanted to get done. I chose to get a dip manicure and my friend got a shellac manicure. When we went to sit down we had to ask multiple times if we could sit next to each other. While my nail tech started mine, my friends just sat their looking at her as if the fact she wanted to sit next to me was the biggest inconvenience in the world. When she started to get hers done her nail tech said that unless she got a manicure instead of only the shellac then she wouldn't be able to get the best work possible. The nail tech basically bullied her into getting a shellac manicure. The end result was a bumpy manicure with polish under her nails and on her cuticles. While my friend has her horrible manicure, mine ended with blood. My manicure started off decent enough but as it went on it went downhill. First off as she was doing my manicure she was roughly moving my fingers and pulling on them. During the process she started shaping my nails as square when I had repeatedly told her I wanted round ones that were on the short side for work. She also was having to go over my nails and redo them because she didn't put enough glue on and I had lots of spots where I didn't have enough dip powder on. When she was filing my nails she cut my cuticles and I started bleeding. When we were checking out not I asked for a tissue because my finger was bleeding, she casually pointed into the corner where a box was as if it was a normal thing. No apology whatsoever. When we walked out site my finger was still bleeding and I also noticed multiple spots on my nails where I didn't have any glitter on my nails. We went back in and I asked if they could fix it and that I was still bleeding. My nail tech I had came up and took the tissue I was using and threw it away behind the counter then walked away. Another tech, who was working on a different client, came up and told me to sit. He left his client and just came over to fix my one nail. During that process he pressed a cotton ball into my finger that was bleeding and barely said a single word at all. While fixing my messed up nail had left a fuzzy, that was on the brush he used to wipe the dust from my nails, on my nail. I had to stop and pick it out before he started on another coat. Originally I had gotten a gel topcoat on all my nails. When he did my topcoat he used a regular clear topcoat and when I asked him to use the gel he said no, that he used that one because there wasn't a point for using the gel for only one nail. In summary I spent $45 on a manicure that made me bleed, looks jacked up and treated like I was in the wrong for coming in for a manicure and asking for it to be fixed when there was something wrong with it. Never coming back and will advise others to not ever go here. read more

The new owners have made some great changes including new pedicure chairs and new chairs at the nail station. Much more comfortable. My last manicure was perfect and my gel polish which usually only lasts 2 weeks is on week 3.5. While I liked the previous owners and staff, I am equally pleased with the new owners/staff. read more

Their prices are very reasonable, and are usually able to get me in same day with the the person I ask for, I always ask for John, he does an excellent job for both manicures and pedicures. Yes I have wanted one like that in Michigan for YEARS!! Guess what?? This is IT!! From the liners in the foot bowls to the hot rocks to the warm towels!! I love the organic scrubs & lotions they use ... in individual packets.. I love the clearness of the shop ... I love that you pick your nail polish color off a pallet ... This used to be my go-to place. However, there has been a change in ownership and the new staff are not well trained. The nail tech buffed the top of my toenail so hard that I bled and now I have a scab. She also did 3 coats of gel polish each (!) of base coat, color, and top coat and my nails didn't look fully cured when I left. Now less than a week later they're already chipping and lifting. The service was on point, the nail-color selection spanned the spectrum of possibilities, and the service offered were plenty--and just enough. I got gels on my nails, and many of the gels also had a matching lacquer, which is a great option for those of us that just choose the latter for toes. Gross! Gross! Gross! Horrible sub par mani-pedi using dirty and unsanitized equipment by novice staff. If you want an infection or a mani/pedi that a preschooler could do then go here!! Tub bowls sometimes not even rinsed between customers just filled back up again, used equipment just rinsed then placed in sanitation bags to appear as if sanitized, reuse of dirty files, nail clippings and skin just swiped onto floor, reuse of same washcloths and no cleaning between customers at mani stations, soaking bowls with scum rings, old nail clippings/skin on cuticle cutter, no hand washing by staff ever seen. I thought I had found my new favorite place to get my nails done, however they either can't understand English or are choosing to do as the please. I just left there after having been there only a week ago. My shellac was chipping and usually shellac last me 2-3 weeks. I told the girl I wanted them all cut down to the same length the one I had broken was. They are all different lengths now so I guess I have to do my own manicure. Owner knew I had made and appointment to get shellac change and manicure and still let me walk out after paying for just the removal of old shellac. Very poor service !!! read more

Went to this place for the first time today. Lee did my nails. Really pretty place inside. Very modern looking. Extremely clean. Nice and quiet and relaxing. I got an acrylic fill with shellac. She was pretty fast; took about an hour. I LOVE that she did my nails extremely short like I asked. No other place does that like i want. I noticed when I got home one finger had a little chip in the polish. Im REALLY rough on my nails so it could be me. I will go back in a couple weeks, so we'll see! read more

Loving this new nail salon in south Lyon. They are very friendly and the place is very clean. Not to mention the decor inside is beautiful! I've gone here twice now and will continue to be a customer! The staff here takes their time to make sure your visit is enjoyable. I have had to wait a short time each visit but I don't mind seeing as they do a great job they should be very busy!! Great variety of colors as well. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE! My friend and I walked in and I they wouldn't sit us next to each other and I had to has several times if we could and the nail tech sat across the shop and just stared at me even tho my friend and I came in together and I asked if we could sit next to each other. The entire time my nail tech was extremely rude to me and pulled my arm and my hands really hard every time. She was using a tissue to dry my nails and using it on her own hands as well. Then they made my friend bleed and she asked where the tissues are they just pointed in a corner like this was normal! No discount or apology for making her bleed. To top it off her nails are crooked and missing spots of paints in the dip polish she had. My nails are crooked and my nail tech told me that she won't paint them the best because I'm not getting a manicure so I had to pay the extra money so I can actually get her best?? Which was horrible anyway. When we asked if they can fix her nails they only agreed because people in there started to look at us. To top it off they took the tissue away from my friend while her thumb was bleeding and took it behind the counter and wouldn't give her another one. Then they pushed an alcohol coated tissue on her nail really hard. When they redid the one nail that was missing the most they didn't even do a gel top coat and there is a fuzzy in her nails and they didn't even bother to fix it. The guy who fixed my friends nails left a customer in the middle of her set, didn't wash his hands then 'fixed' her nails. I stopped in today for a pedicure & an eyebrow wax, thinking I would treat myself by going to what appeared to be a more upscale nail salon with great reviews. I walked in and was not acknowledged for at least fifteen minutes. I then waited for an additional 20 minutes before they were able to take me (which was fine, other people had appointments and I was a walk-in). My wax was great. My pedicure, on the other hand, left much to be desired. The chairs, while cute and modern, were not comfortable. Very stiff, felt like they were pushing me forward, and they had no massage function. The pedicure itself was decent. I got an upgraded version with a sugar scrub & hot stones. I arrived with calluses and peeled skin, and guess what? I left with them too. You'd think for $40 my feet would be buffed better. Nope. What a waste of time and money! This place looks amazing, but that's the only "amazing" thing about it. read more

Myself, my daughter and her friend stopped in to have our nails done since it was close to home. Mine were done ok I have had better. After they removed the dip from my daughters nails (that had only lasted a week before they started lifting at the top, that they had also done) they didnt even do a manicure which she asked for, they just polished them and the woman was rushed and did a ruthless job. Horrible. I should not have paid but I am such a wimp I paid. My daughters friend was cut twice during her manicure and they painted over the cuts. If you are in a hurry and need a quick not so great manicure then this is your place otherwise, for me its worth the drive to go someplace else and get a quality done job. My daughter got a full set of acrylics and I got a shellac manicure. The place is VERY CLEAN and they use individual packets of cleaned instruments. They change their covers of the drills per client. The place has a very "Zen feeling" and doesn't have that horrible smell the other places have! I'm a nurse and I felt very confident at how clean everything was. My daughter amd I decided to try E Nail as they are local and we were hopeful being that reviews were good. We walked in and were quickly pleased by the appearance and prompt service. However the discontent started quickly. First, three of my toes ended up with cuts (not scratches...cuts) from the lady filing my toe nails. She than proceeded to put cuticle softener on my toes which almost put me through the roof. It burned so bad on the cuts I started to sweat. Then she painted my toes, they looked smeared and bubbly, with leftover nailpolish on the rim of my nail beds. Unfortunately, I was scheduled to have a French manicure. I tried to be optimistic that my nails would turn out better. I have naturally long nails that are well shaped so I didn't think it could possibly be that bad. Wrong.... Instead of starting with white at the end of the nail bed where the nail bed ended she started in the middle of the nail. My nails looked hideous and stubby. Not like a French clean manicure. Very disappointed and hoping I don't get an infection in one of the cuts on my toes as the one on my big toe is very deep. I will pass for future manicures and pedicures here. I brought the review down to four stars because I usually have to wait for my appointment, both before my appointment, and between the mani and pedi.
