I saw Dr. Jason Emer after my sister did extensive research on acne scar specialists. I had acne throughout high school and most of my 20s, and even after getting it under control, I was left with scars that made me self-conscious. I create content for a living, and I hated how my skin looked on camera without a filter--even with makeup. I was really nervous about doing an intense laser treatment because I had a bad experience with laser hair removal in the past. I got burned on my face (see before pics), and the scar was so bad that makeup couldn't even fully cover it. Since I have Middle Eastern skin, I was especially worried about hyperpigmentation. But Dr. Emer took those concerns seriously--he reassured me that he could get me amazing results without burning me or making my skin worse. I was still a little nervous, but I trusted him when he said he was completely confident in his approach. In August 2024, I had my first session with Profractional laser on my cheeks, TCA Cross, and Halo laser. By Day 6, I could already see a difference in the mirror, and over time, the results kept getting better. I followed my post-treatment routine religiously--avoided the sun, wore sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses everywhere. If you're getting this kind of treatment, you have to be vigilant about sun exposure. I used to live in Miami, and that's when my hyperpigmentation was at its worst, so I knew I had to be careful. I was so happy with my results that I went back in February 2025--this time, I even brought my sister. I got the same treatment plan but also added Sculptra based on Dr. Emer's advice. I absolutely LOVE going into Dr. Emer's office. His team is so friendly, and every time I'm there, I have so much fun talking to everyone. You can tell the staff genuinely love working there--they're not just coworkers, they're actual friends outside of work, and you feel that energy. It's such a refreshing change from other doctor's offices. Every appointment feels like hanging out with my friends--and I honestly never thought I'd say that about a doctor's office. I'll want to continue going for routine maintenance treatments. And this is coming from someone who has never been the type to spend money on facials or skincare treatments. But after seeing how much of a difference the right treatments can make, I know this is money well spent. It's been two weeks since my second procedure, and I get compliments on my skin everywhere I go. I don't need a filter or makeup to feel confident anymore. Even my other doctor--who I see once a month--noticed the difference over video chat and now she wants to see Dr. Emer. My sister did a Phenol peel with Dr. Emer, and we still cannot get over how amazing her results are. It's only been two weeks since her procedure, but I have never seen her this confident. Her scars were severe, and she's about to start her first corporate job this fall. I genuinely believe this transformation is going to change the trajectory of her career--and her life. Once you factor in the procedures, skincare, and aftercare, it's a big investment. But I can say without hesitation: it's money well spent. I wasted so much money over the years on mediocre treatments with doctors who were too scared to be aggressive with my skin. I recently had a birthday and decided to treat myself to a little "pick me up" . I carefully researched top dermatologists and couldn't be happier that I chose Dr. Jason Emer as my dermatologist. PJ , I believe he is Dr. Emer 's Medical assistant called me at my hotel to check on me post the treatment, and by the time I flew back home I received another text from the team ensuring everything is going well and if I have any questions.. Royal treatment by a great caring staff . Dr Jason Emer was very courteous and professional. As a first time dermatology patient, Dr Emer took the time to provide information and made sure I was informed throughout the entire time we spent together. I literally was beyond Thrilled and happy with the results immediately , although It takes a few weeks for the swelling and bruises to subside and to see the final results) however I did not bruise, just a bit of swelling for the first 48 hours which was manageable by ice. Yes I recommend this business, I would get more than five stars if possible. This doctor is amazing and guided me through everything. He answered every question perfectly, and followed through with absolutely perfect results. I'm so happy. I also have to say his team help me every step of the way, any questions were answered quickly and intelligently. With that said I'll tell you why I went to this doctor. For the longest time I've been anywhere from 285 lb to 330 lb at my worst. My girlfriend at the time and now fiance started being this weight loss Journey, we made a deal with each other, she told me I needed to drink more water and watch what I eat, and she promised to finish school because she made that promise to her father who unfortunately passed away. When I started I was about 285 or 290 lb. After almost a year I lost over 70 lb by drinking water then intermittent fasting and then going to the gym. Once I saw results I wanted to see more. I really dedicated myself and everybody said how great I looked. But that was with clothes on, only I knew what I could see in the mirror, and my girlfriend was blinded by love, she didn't care what I look like, he said I always look good she was just worried about my health. I met with the doctor and we made a plan. Of course I wanted everything done in one surgery but they knew it was best and healthy for me. Somewhere along the way the doctor told me he does what's called a down under procedure also, that's where they're able to do fat grafting and or fillers to the penis. I have to say I didn't think it was necessary at the time, haha but now I have another level of confidence. I had one procedure on my stomach and torso, then a week later another procedure on my chest, they added fat to my chest buttocks and penis and sculpted my body like an artist. Today is one week after my second surgery and that I went to my lymphatic massage therapist (I didn't know it was necessary but the doctors know everything, thank God I listened) I look so good today and I'm so excited because I know it's going to take a lot more time for all the swelling and water to go away, that means I'm only going to get better and better I'm ecstatic. Everybody can tell you you look good, but you know what you look like in the mirror. If you have the smallest thought that you need to see I want to take care of you I encourage you to look for all the doctors out there and I promise you'll come back to this one.
